MODEL HISTORY
The Mercedes-AMG A45 Edition 1 is a limited first-year variant of the broader AMG A45 model, released in 2014. It’s a “first-year special” being ultra rare and limited to only 300 in cosmos black metallic paint finish. It often carries collectible status among enthusiasts.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 was first introduced in 2013 as the high-performance variant of the third-generation A-Class (W176). It marked AMG’s first entry into the compact hot hatch segment, combining everyday practicality with supercar-rivalling performance. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produced 360 hp, making it the most powerful 2.0-liter production engine in the world at launch. Power was sent to all four wheels via AMG’s 4MATIC system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

It includes the AMG Aerodynamics package as standard for this Edition 1: larger front splitter, additional canards/flics on the front apron, a prominent rear wing.

Powering it is a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing about 360 hp (≈265 kW) and 450 Nm of torque.
Performance figures: 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in approximately 4.6 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (≈155 mph) in the standard setup.
Top speed: electronically limited to around 155 mph (≈250 km/h) or higher (~168 mph) with optional Driver’s package.
Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT) driving the AWD system (AMG 4MATIC).
