This R33 GT-R is the lowest mileage example we have sourced in a very long time - with only 27,272 genuine miles since new!! It's a has been improved with Nismo components for suspension, wheels and other recent modifications, whilst not overdoing it - to make a usable and very beautiful regular use car. Performance Improvements consists of an Invidia stainless steel cat back system which de-restricts, yet remains relatively quiet. At present the car is making approx. 300 bhp. To get to 380 bhp approx we'd recommend the following package: Apexi Power FC complete with controller, Greddy Profec B Spec II boost controller, 700cc SARD injectors with 280 l/h fuel pump, HKS Induction kit, HKS equal length downpipe and cat replacement pipe. Suspension Wheels: Suspension is improved with Nismo S tune suspension at each corner. These are high quality items especially designed for fast road use - although they're an excellent choice for trackdays too. Damping can be easily adjusted from the top of each unit, but ride is slightly firmed than standard whilst remaining comfortable and quiet for long distance use. A full set of some of the most sought after alloys for a Skyline are fitted - Original monoblock lightweight forged alloy Nismo GT4 alloys complete with 245/40R18 Yokohama Ecos tyres on each corner - approximately 1/3rd worn. Wheels are also in nearly new condition - there are some very light scratches to a few parts, but being forged alloy, these don't mark easily - and scratches are not easily visible.Other exterior improvements: Note that Nismo bumper vents D-Speed white front indicators. The headlights have been updated with later model (1997) Xenon HID units (Around £1,400 for the complete setup in Japan!) along with the deeper 1997 front splitter. Interior upgrades condition: An Impul 913 Sport suede steering wheel has replaced the original SRS airbag steering wheel. (If preferred, we can obtain and supply an unmarked used original wheel complete with SRS airbag in good condition, at no extra cost). A Blitz 52mm diameter boost gauge is neatly fitted on the A-Pilar. Also fitted is a Blitz turbo timer, Nismo gear knob, Pioneer 50W x 4 Mos FET amplified CD/MD/Radio unit - This is included free of charge with the car. Condition of the interior is excellent with virtually nothing to report. Carbon fibre look leather gaiters specially tailored for the R33 GT-R are also available inexpensively through www.neweraparts.com - these would give the centre console area a much improved appearance!Standard Dealer Option Specifications: Brakes are Brembo at each corner with 4 pistons on each front calliper and 2 pistons on each rear. Note the lack of damage from heat and age, giving a clear indication this car's never been driven hard or used in anger on the track. Also included as standard: Climate Control A/C (Relocated to the centre console, but easily returned to the centre console position without rewiring - note the 2 DIN audio unit would need replacing with single DIN to provide the necessary space, however), PAS, Central Locking, ABS, velour seats, privacy rear windows, adjustable rear spoiler, original full set of fitted mats, etc.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (5kg/cm2 at idle when cold 2.5kg/cm2 when warm). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are each almost new! We test drove this example and found it felt tight and very together. Idle is very smooth from start up, no rattles or squeaks from the interior, good smooth braking stability. It feels like a car that's never been driven hard and there is evidence this is the case, given that the paintwork is so original and spotless - with no stone chips gained over the car's life in Japan.
Condition: As described above, the car's in near new condition. There's only one light pin dent on the n/s quarter. This will be carefully removed by a dent specialist. The front splitter has some minor scratches to the bottom - although this is unrepairable without painting. Best is to leave this, as paint doesn't bond well to PVC. It's likely through use that the front splitter will touch the ground in future anyway - this is why Nissan have chosen this material.
This has been a one owner car since new. Clearly the last keeper polished it regularly to keep paint work this good. All signs show this hasn't been a Skyline that's been driven hard and modifications are sensible to improve the car yet still allow it to remain relaxing to drive for daily use. Note the lack of stone chips at the front of the car - this is a sure sign that it hasn't been driven hard regularly. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, indicator stalks, pedal rubbers, brake discs, exterior - all indicate low wear and careful use. This has also been a non smoker's car since new. Cost of Nismo wheels, suspension, exhaust, Xenon lights, front splitter, Audio, etc. was around £6,500 to the last owner. If you've been looking for the best R33 GT-R available, in our experience, this example is impossible to beat!
