This RX-7 has been fitted with RE Amemiya Ad Facer II front bumper and RE Amemiya Bonnet, combined with a Mazdaspeed rear wing. Note there are factory driving lights fitted. Wheels are original Forged Split Rim RE Amemiya items of 17" size, with 4 high performance Yokohama tyres of size 225/45/ZR17 255/40/ZR17. They're in brand new condition - even the alloy rims are still not oxidised from age. Suspension is uprated with nearly new coil-over suspension. We will be confirming the brand of this.
A large bore stainless steel exhaust system is fitted from the catalyst - back. This is combined with twin HKS induction cones, improving breathing and therefore power output. The ECU is a reprogrammed standard item, running around 0.9Bar boost, giving around 330bhp, when combined with the breathing mods. Inside, an Imola R leather steering wheel has replaced the standard item. Note that a GReddy turbo timer is installed with double sided tape to the underside of the plastic trim (driver's side). This can be re-sited or removed completely if preferred. A Kenwood Radio/Cassette with ten disc CD changer and uprated speakers are also included free of charge with this car. Original equipment includes: Alloy 'RX-7' sill step plates, twin oil coolers (best for keeping oil within the safe operating temperature), original lightweight sports seats, rear storage compartments in place of seats, PAS, E/W, E/M, A/C, 3 channel ABS, original fitted mats. The original tool kit is complete and unused and includes the optional additional tool tray. Also fitted is the factory rear strut brace. A factory option rear parcel shelf is not fitted, however a shelf has been fabricated to enable the fitment of the rear speakers.
We test drove this RX-7 thoroughly for handling, acceleration and braking, and found it drives absolutely faultlessly. Engine and a complete mechanical integrity check was carried out. There are no faults at all to report and the car feels tight and rattle free. With a car of such low weight, standard power is plenty with 0-60 in 5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph. Handling is also amongst the very best available, with double wishbone alloy suspension.This RX-7 twin turbo pulls very well indeed - with good idle, etc. It drives much like a new car and performance is excellent, once again reminding us of how good these cars are, even without major modification. No smoke on start up and it idles well, giving an excellent spread of power throughout the rev range, with strong power from around 2,500 rpm all the way to the red line.
The interior is in completely original condition with no faults to report. With no wear to the seats, steering wheel, pedals or gearknob. Further confirming the genuine mileage.Auction grade is 4. Exterior is in superb condition throughout. As with all the cars we stock, to check it thoroughly we washed and checked the bodywork on this car and found no faults whatsoever to report! This car has clearly been cherished and hardly used throughout it's life!! The paintwork feels freshly polished and the wheels look to have only just been fitted. There is none of the usual stone chipping and cracking associated with Fibreglass bodykits. All panels are in truly superb condition, as to be expected from a car with only 19,718 genuine miles! It's rare to find an older RX-7 with such low genuine mileage, as well as a stunning looking bodykit and well chosen performance extras. This car presents itself as a jaw dropping combination!
