This stunning GT-R has been beautifully cared for by it's previous owner, with well chosen modifications to improve it for fast road use. It's evident from a complete lack of stone chips it was never driven fast - and it's been garaged since new regularly polished / paint sealed. Engine tuning has been modified by Mine's to give it approximately 370 bhp. This a low genuine mileage example with excellent spec - in absolutely perfect running condition. A beautiful and unique GT-R with years of life in it - this could be the best conditon R32 GT-R we come across this year. If well preserved, this car can only appreciate in value as R32 GT-R's in top condition are quickly becoming collectable now.
Performance Improvements: In combination with HKS SPF induction kit ARC intercooler, Mine's have replaced the ECU with their "VX ROM" unit, allowing the car to run more boost in combination with an increase in fueling. Currently it's running 1 bar and pulls very smoothly strongly. HKS hard pipe kit is also fitted. Radiator hoses are by Earl's. The original blow-off valves have been replaced with a single SARD Racing Blow off valve kit. Oil cooler is the best we've seen on a BNR32: It includes a large heat exchanger combined with a smaller A/C condenser, sited in front of the radiator together with Earl's fittings. Almost easy to miss - we couldn't find it at first, as it's such a neat installation! There's a Suono Hot Earth wiring kit to improve ignition performance. Boost is controlled by an HKS EVC 5. Exhaust modifications consist of uprated ATTKD front pipe in combination with an HKS Super Dragger cat-back system. This exhaust has a deep but smooth sound and of course it's it's unrestrictive and sports oriented, but remains civilised. The tuning parts combined on this car all work together to make for an excellent road car. To improve braking, the previous owner chose R33 GT-R Brembo brakes for front and rear (New when fitted - hence their top condition!) together with braided hoses Nismo R-tune sports brake pads at the front and rear. Other performance Improvements: Suspension modifications include a coilover set by Ohlins, specifically designed for fast road and trackday use. They don't have pillow uppers, which means no rattles as they wear / are used on bumpy roads. These give a comfortable ride with excellent handling - a combination is firm yet compliant for road use. Nismo rear links (Upper lower) in combination with Nismo upper links ensure that all the bushes are uprated to provide better geometry control in hard use. Front and rear strut braces are by iba. Please note that although the car is mapped for Japanese fuel, it may need adjustment for UK European fuels. Mine's ECU's usually work fine in UK with only some minor retarding of the ignition recommended to 16 Deg BTDC at idle. For road use this would be fine. Although this car needs nothing added, if wanted, there's still more things the new owner can do to personalise for his own GT-R perfection (We're here to help). If intending to use the car regularly on trackdays, etc. we'd recommend fitment of an Apexi Power FC ECU Commander and cooling modifications. There's a complete set of original Nismo body improvements consisting of: Intercooler surround, intercooler ducts in the bumper, bonnet lip, side skirt extensions, rear spats rear lip spoiler! Wheels are BBS LM's of size 17 x 9.0 + 20, complete with BBS matching nuts and lock. Tyres are Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R's (Very sticky road tyres of size: 245/45-ZR17 - each with plenty of tread remaining. Headlight main beam has been improvd with an HID conversion. High beam uses super white bulbs to match. To further modernise the looks of this car, R35 GT-R rear badge, D Speed clear/smoked front indicators, high intensity LED rear reverse lights / foglight combination (Fitted into original rear reverse light clusters) and Nismo style LED tail lights are available. Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, unmarked velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, oil pressure, carpets, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, gear lever and handbrake gaiters, door trims, roof lining, etc. are all clean and unworn, in keeping with the low mileage this car's covered.
Interior: It's very rare nowadays to find a BNR32 interior in such excellent condition. The single owner wsn't a smoker and probably quite small - judging by the interior's lack of wear and ageing throughout. Front floor mats are from an R34 GT-R There's a fire extinguisher secured to the passenger floor mat. Steering wheel is uprated with a "Personal" item. Note the inclusion of (very rare) Mine's centre gauges - with a 1.4bar boost gauge. Particular attention ( expense) has been lavished on the ICE installation: An Alpine CDA 9668i 200W head unit is the centre piece, which is linked to an Alpine 6 CD changer as well as playing radio, CD's DVD's MP3's, USB, etc. Speakers are each high-power handling Alpine DD Drive with remote tweeters at the front and include a custom made rear shelf for improved sound deadening and special boxes at the front for better acoustics. Note that the head unit's face is removable for security. An Alpine amplifier is professionally installed in the boot complete with gold plated connectors, etc. The owner was evidently careful to protect his car, so a good quality Clifford alarm / immobiliser is fitted (Rarely seen in Japan). This comes complete with 2 remote controls and naturally operates the doors, etc. All audio alarm equipment is supplied free of charge with this car. If desired we can supply Nismo steering wheel (or other) and a variety of shift knobs are available. For the interior we'd recommend a Defi boost gauge on A pilar pod, Trial carbon door-sill covers, R34 GT-R original option drilled alloy pedal covers, etc (See www.neweraparts.com).
Bodywork Condition: The bodywork is in outstanding condition and shows signs of having been regularly polished and cared for - paintwork is so shiny TBH it was a little difficult to shoot pictures in correct exposure due to glare from reflected light. Note the exterior photos were shot on a very windy day, or the brown grass would have reflected much better on the sides! As mentioned before this car's been garaged all it's life too. None of the plastics around the windows are UV damaged from age! In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's. There are no stone chips on the bodywork. All we could find is a small chip on the front spoiler lip and deforming of the rear spoiler lip. www.neweraparts.com can supply a replica FRP lip, unfortunately Nismo have long since stopped making originals. Underside is rust free. Note the jacking points have some denting / repair areas, which is common on all GT-R's. Unfortunately they collapse when the standard scissor jack or a trolley jack is used. Only when all 4 corners are lifted there at the same time can damage be avoided. It's not too bad on this car, though. Engine Test Drive: After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very, very well! It's got strong power and all signs of a well maintained car. Being uprated, the brakes are also considerably stronger than standard - affording the sort of stopping power needed for a car of this level of performance. Excellent oil pressure (over 4kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 2.0kg/m2 when at normal operating temperature) at idle shows this is a strong engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear, it's super smooth too. Note that the timing belt, tensioners and pulleys were replaced by Nismo at 47,000km. Clutch feels as if it's nearly new and the gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchro wear found on these cars. We test drove this example and found it felt tight and very together. Over rough bits of road the suspension felt comfortable and we noted there's absolutely no rattles. Feels like a new car in many ways. It pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and is making approximately 370 bhp @ 1 bar of boost. Judging by carefully chosen modifications that are discreet, condition throughout and attention to detail, we know this car's been owned by a mature driver. The tightness of it's feel and care / money lavished on it suggests this car was used as a weekend toy and has probably never been on a circuit. It's one of the nicest feeling GT-R's we've driven in the last 10 years and is a compl;ete package already with little need for further improvement / tuning.Total cost of modifications paintwork to this car cost the last owner over £20,000 during ownership. All signs show this car has been well loved and modifications selected to enhance the performance whilst remaining usable for daily driving, rather than chasing maximum power. Expect this to be a very quick and fun car to drive with perfect poise and instant response!
