Nowadays finding a good R32 GT-R is becoming increasingly harder as time takes it's toll and so few owners give these cars the care they deserve. Destined to become one of Japan's most prized classic cars the good examples are strengthening in price as collectors begin to realise pristine examples are becoming a rare breed. This example has been beautifully preserved. Aside from having no rust - not even beneath it's a straight car with no previous accident history. This example has been bought for a discerning customer who wanted as original an example as possible in top condition.
Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, sports velour seats, factory privacy rear glass, original (rare) wind deflectors, original leather steering wheel and shift knob, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure etc. - all indicate low wear. Note especially the original paint on the intake plenum. Most you'll see are cracked and flaking heavily from high mileage and use. This car's is still as intact as when it left the factory, further confirming low mileage.
Interior: It's very rare nowadays to find a BNR32 interior in such excellent condition. From 16 years of age, the seats could benefit from being shampoo'd but are intact. Note the ashtray cigar lighter are clean and unused and there is no smell of tabacco so it would appear the most recent owner was a non-smoker. Note the dashboard has 2 sections where the glue has come unstuck behind and bubbles have formed from expansion of hot (summer) air. This can be invisibly repaired by injecting suitable glue (Evo-Stik) behind and heating with a hair dryer (To make the vinyl soft) – then holding in place until dried. There’s a navigation system and a Carrozzeria CD player fitted what looks like an original Nissan CD Changer in the boot. We have provided an original BNR32 Cassette radio to go with this car.Exterior: The bodywork is in outstanding condition and shows signs of having been regularly polished and cared for. It would appear this car's been owned by mature people, bearing in mind the lack of pin dents, repairs and how the wheels have no scratches to the edges at all. In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's, nor on the underside. The jacking points are also not caved in, as is often found on GT-R's (design fault - they normally collapse if the standard jack is used! :( )We found only minor bodywork faults as follows: The front lip spoiler has scratches and should be replaced. Rear spoiler driver’s door handle have some damage from UV light. There’s a small pin dent on the o/s quarter and 2 even smaller ones on the n/s quarter. The rear spoiler is being repainted as part of the cost of the car (In Japan before shipment). The 2 small pin dents are to be repaired in UK by a dent specialist – provided access is possible from behind. The following are reported to provide a complete report but are too small to require repair:The n/s rear mud flap has some touch up paint from a minor graze at some point. The rear bumper has some very small chips and small scratches, which have been touched in with exact matched paint. These minor imperfections are only visible if looking specifically for them and are too small to warrant re-painting. We noted that although the wheels are in good condition with no corrosion, there are some scratches on the edges. As we have some original wheels in stock in very original and unmarked condition, these are to be included with this car.Engine Test Drive: Oil has recently been changed. There’s excellent oil pressure (5 kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 2.5kg/cm2 when at normal operating temperature) at idle shows this is a strong engine in good health. After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very, very well! Being of standard tune the engine has hardly been stressed in it's life to date feels tight and is silky smooth. It’s notably free of mechanical noise even at start up. Gearbox works well with a clutch that has plenty of life remaining. Suspension still feels taught and gives a comfortable ride. Brakes feel like new too. When driving – this car felt quite factory fresh. Clearly it’s been owned by one mature owner who never used it hard. Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, repainting of rear bumper (See pictures and comments on slideshow),12 month's comprehensive warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT.
