Fitted with RE Amemiya Ad Facer II front bumper and side skirts. Note there are HID driving lights fitted. These illuminate the road so well there's virtually no need to use the main headlamps. Wheels are stunning original Veilside Andrews Evolution 5 special edition items of 18" size, with 4 high performance sports tyres of size 225/40/ZR18 265/35/ZR18. Suspension comprises only the very best available: Fully adjustable Ohlins adjustable coil-overs, which give improved road holding and poise with a firm yet suple ride. We had the same setup on our own RX-7 for 3 years and found it a near perfect compromise for improved handling and comfort.
A large bore stainless steel R Magic exhaust system is fitted from the catalyst - back. Included, linked to the primary turbo is a Blitz blow-off valve. Inside, a Momo "Race" leather steering wheel has replaced the standard item. A Trust Grex shift knob and alloy pedal covers for the throttle and left foot rest are also fitted. Note a turbo timer is installed with double sided tape to the underside of the plastic trim (driver's side). This can be re-sited or removed completely if preferred. A Kenwood component system 180W Cassette/CD/Tuner is also included free of charge with this car. Original equipment includes: Alloy sill step plates, twin oil coolers (best forkeeping oil within the optimum operating temperature), original lightweight sports seats, rear bins in place of seats, PAS, P/W, AC, 3 channel ABS, original fitted mats. The original tool kit is complete and unused and includes the optional additional tool tray. We test drove this RX-7 thoroughly for handling, acceleration and braking, and found it drives absolutely faultlessly. Engine and a complete mechanical integrity check was carried out. There are no faults at all to report and the car feels tight and rattle free. With a car of such low weight, standard power is plenty with 0-60 in 5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph. Handling is also amongst the very best available, with double wishbone alloy suspension on each corner enhanced by Ohlins shocks springs. By far the best suspension available for production cars - and very rare except on the most exotic. Although the ECU is standard, this RX-7 twin turbo pulls very well indeed - with good idle, etc. It drives much like a new car and performance is excellent, once again reminding us of how good these cars are, even without major modification. It's making approx. 275 bhp as is. Oil pressure is good. No smoke on start up and it idles well, giving an excellent spread of power throughout the rev range, with strong power from around 2,500 rpm all the way to the red line.
The interior is in completely original condition with no faults to report aside from screw holes from a TV screen's stand - having previously been fitted. This is completely repairable by a specialist in the UK and this can be arranged for a small additional charge. Alternatively, why not fit some gauges neatly in this space, with some carbon fibre backing. We can source and supply both the shapable carbon fibre backing and choice of gauges to fit (We recommend Defi's!). As with all the cars we stock, to check it thoroughly we washed and checked the bodywork on this car and found only minor faults as follows: The n/s/f wing has some minor arch damage from the suspension being set low (Tyre has rubbed on the arch). Also, on the front bumper there are some minor stone chips. The n/s skirt has some chips on the paint too. Each of these faults is to be professionally repaired as part of preparation in the UK to present this car in immaculate condition. We shall also supply and fit some genuine RZ stickers free of charge, as these will enhance the look of the car, further!
It's rare to find an older RX-7 with such low genuine mileage, as well as a stunning looking bodykit and well chosen performance extras.
