Skyline GT-R (R32) Stage 1 modified by Top Secret.
This GT-R has been improved with stage 1 tuning to give it approximately 370 bhp yet still allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. As one of the last R32 GT-R's produced, this is a low genuine mileage example with excellent spec! It's also of very low genuine mileage - so there's plenty of life left in this top example of an R32 GT-R Skyline.
Aesthetic improvements: Original R33 GT-R forged lightweight alloy wheels of size 17" are fitted at each corner. To aid maximum flow to the intercooler, original Nismo vents are fitted into the front bumper. We are able to supply and fit clear front indicators, sourced through D-Speed at low prices. Performance Improvements: Whilst not stressing the engine excessively and allowing it to remain drivable as a daily use car, this GT-R has had mild modifications to enhance it. Neatly mounted on the steering column is a Trust boost gauge. Turbo boost control is looked after by a Greddy (Trust) Profec B electronic unit - one of the best units that has been available.The clutch has been recently uprated to a heavy duty 2 plate item. It's relatively easy to use in stop-start traffic. A pair of M's (KN) induction filters have replaced the standard airbox. The intercooler is a Trust uprated unit. Note there's also a Grex (Trust) high capacity oil cooler combined with a remote oilfilter housing for easy access and additional oil capacity.The exhaust system has been uprated with a high flow large bore steel front pipe and a Top Secret Drag R exhaust from the cat back ECU has been replaced with a Top Secret Competizione Rom rechipped unit. This can either be used as is - in the UK, combined with ignition timing retard to allow safe running in the UK, or to maximise performance, we are able to supply a catalyst replacement pipe inexpensively and an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of £565 incl. hand held FC controller (For further information click on www.neweraparts.com). The current modifications make for a very quick R32 GT-R. Running at 0.95 bar of boost currently, this Skyline is making around 380 very healthy bhp. Performance is very strong!
Suspension Coilovers are made by Ohlins and are fully adjustable. These are probably the best kit available for Skylines, as they're compliant for road use, yet they give excellent control in combination with pillow ball top mounts. Being Ohlins, they're also servicable in the UK whne required, unlike some brands. Front strut brace is made by Spats.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, rear wiper, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, etc. - all indicate low wear. The driver's seat has no holes or badly worn fabric, as is usually found on examples that are not of genuine mileage.
Interior: There's a decent quality CD Radio unit fitted. This is supplied free of charge with the car. There are some light drink spillage marks on the driver's seat. In any case, the interior is to be valetted, so these marks will be cleaned and the interior presented to high standard. General condition: Auction Grade is 1. This is the grade given for modified cars, such as this example (Not accident grade). As shown by pictures, condition of paintwork is very good. However, as with each car we supply, the car will be presented in A1 condition, so the following are to be repaired:Stone chips on front bumper and scratches to front lip spoiler. Stone chips on leading edges of the front wings. 3cm scratch to the n/s quarter. Rear bumper paint not to a good standard. 2 pin dents on the o/s quarter. scratches to the driver's sill from feet getting in and out over the years. Finally, there's a shallow dent to the bottom section of the driver's door. There are photos to show each of these faults clearly - although each will be repaired professionally to present this car to our usual high standards on completion. Underneath, there is a dent on the two front jacking points (As is common on almost all GTR's!) The n/s wheel rims have some superficial kerbing scratches. The other wheels are unmarked. Note that as the tyres are worn, we shall be replacing these as part of preparation of the car, up to a value of £400. Therefore the owner will be able to specify his preference. In addition, as the front brake pads have only around 3,000 miles of wear remaining, we shall be replacing these with Endless CC-X high performance pads, in addition to carrying out a full service on this car.Engine: Excellent oil pressure (4/cm2 at idle when cold). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are not worn much at all. We test drove this example for around 20 minutes drive and found it felt tight and very together. It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and is making approximately 380 bhp with current spec. Makes for a very quick road car!This GT-R will be prepared by ourselves in our new workshop based just outside of Brighton, where our UK office is based.Note that we will retard the ignition in the UK to make this car safe for use on UK fuels with the Top Secret ECU, alternatively we can arrange to take the car to GT ART (GT-R Specialists close to ) to have the car checked on the rolling road - for a small additional charge.
Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £4,500 excluding labour to fit, etc. All signs show this car has been well loved and modifications carefully selected to enhance the performance whilst remaining usable for daily driving - Expect this to be a very quick and fun car to drive with perfect poise and instant response. Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, 12 month's comprehensive Motorcare warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT.
