DESCRIPTION

This example was bought to special order for a UK customer wanting a very good hand picked example to cherish for many years to come. Originally he'd ordered only grey metallic, but on seeing this example changed his mind, not least with such low mileage and the rarity of R32 GT-R V-Spec models!Nowadays finding a good R32 GT-R is becoming increasingly harder as time takes it's toll and so few owners give these cars the care they deserve. Destined to become one of Japan's most prized classic cars the good well looked after rust free examples are strenghtening in price as collectors have begun to realise pristine examples are becoming a rare breed. This example has been beautifully preserved in addition to carrying some well chosen improvements.
Performance and other improvements: Power cosmetics have been improved for enhanced but sensible road use. Stage 1 tuning has been completed with a ROM ECU chip upgrade HKS EVC boost controller. An HKS SPF induction kit is fitted. There’s an HKS plate fin type intercooler and intake hard pipe kit also fitted. Front pipe is by Nismo and exhaust (retaining standard catalyst) is an HKS Hiper Muffler. This has a straight through type rear silencer with a central oval type silencer, so it’s unrestrictive, sporty, but not too loud. There’s an HKS oil cooler housed in front of the radiator, complete with remote oil filter mount for easy changes. Oil filter are by Trust (Greddy). Clutch is a twin-plate by HKS. Suspension consists of nearly new TEIN Superstreet coilovers. A Nismo front strut brace is fitted and this includes a brake master cylinder brace for improved response. Brakes are of course Brembo as standard with V-Spec models and these are enhanced with braided hoses ( larger bore master cylinder than standard BNR32's). Although these are not the items that came with the car, we have upgraded - with a trade in value of 80,000 Yen for old wheels and put on better replacements with new NS-2 tyres (no charge for these new replacements). We also fitted brand new wheel nuts. Wheels are some of the most desirable of all for a GT-R; Enkei RP-F1’s in excellent condition, with Nangkang NS-2 sports tyres of size 245/40R18. The car drives very well. Suspension is comfortable and slightly firmer than standard, lower too. For the road it's well controlled – driving the car over a bumpy country road it felt comfortable but compliant. Although it would be a bit soft for serious track use but should cope well with the UK's usual bumpy roads. Note also the genuine Nismo bumper ducts, Nismo style boot lip (replica) very rare Tomei rear light lenzes at the rear. Also there’s an HKS turbo timer fitted. A Nismo 280 km/h speedo replaced the original when the car was nearly new at 1,341km. The original (boxed) speedo is included too. Recaro reclinable sports seats on adjustable BNR32 specific seat rails are fitted. There's a pair of Sabelt seat harnesses fitted too, which we disconnected and put in the boot. The foam padding pieces have faded with UV over time. It would be nice to replace these with Takata harnesses and proper Gel pads as replacements, or perhaps less expensive alternatives of greater width available in UK.The ECU is re-chipped and although the car runs well the mapping is a bit lean, so for safety in UK we'd recommend fitting an Apexi Power FC and re-mapping for lower octane UK fuel whilst the car's at RK tuning for preparation. We have Power FC's in stock for BNR32 complete with the new type EL display if desired. As it was poorly sited on the passenger side of the dashboard on an aluminium mounting plate secured by 4 small screws, the trio of Greddy white faced electronic gauges has been mounted in a new triple cluster. We have secured this with only double sided tape, in case the new owner finds he doesn't like this new location for the gauges. We also left the old mounting plate Greddy mounting accessories in the boot. Note that LED back-lighting has also been retro fitted to all the instruments for improved visibility. For aesthetic improvement we fitted a brand new set of Nismo fitted mats (5 piece) and a Tomei Duracon shift knob. Audio consists of Carrozzeria CD/Radio of 200W power. Audio is untested and supplied free of charge with this car. Further Improvements available: As with all GT-R's there's still more things the new owner can do to personalise for his own GT-R perfection (We're here to help!): If intending to improve performance, we can supply all manner of tuning parts, from a Power FC ECU upgrade with larger injectors, etc. right through a range of turbos (Used Nismo N1's are available inexpensively). To further modernise the looks of this car we'd recommend an R34 GT-R V-Spec II rear badge, orange Crystal front indicators and interior improvements such as suede or leather gailers, original Nissan alloy pedal covers, etc. We can also supply wilder parts like Abflug front and rear carbon diffusers, Nismo style side spats, bonnet lip, etc. All available tuning parts for BNR32 available throughout Japan can be sourced supplied at discount from www.neweraparts.com
Standard equipment includes: Brembo brakes at each corner, finned rear differential cover, ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure, etc.- all indicate low wear and no abuse. In particular the light switch pedal rubber's wear are next to nothin from new, further confirming the very unusually low mileage of this car. It was only due to rare circumstances at trade auction and the failure of the G-Sensor causing warning lights to remain on (We've resolved this problem of course) that made this car affordable.
Interior condition: The previous siting of the gauges was on an aluminium plate (Painted matt black) with 4 small self-tapping screws to hold in position.Once removed we filled the small holes with dark grey silicone sealant, so these aren't so easily noticable. With the cage in the rear the seat upper section doesn't fit perfectly and there's a small gap with the parcel shelf. We also noticed the trim on the driver-side rear quarter panel has some vinyl coming adrift from age. Exterior: Bodywork is in outstanding condition showing signs of having been well cared for. In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's, nor on the underside. The front wing and bonnet's bolts show signs of having been removed refitted so possibly a front wing replacement at some point, but there are no indications of structural repair at all, this was a cosmetic repair done some time ago. The jacking points are not collapsed as is usual on most GT-R's, although one seam is bent very slightly (Passenger side). The front pipe has a dent on the underside and the centre exhaust box also has some scratching. There is however no cause for concern with the underside condition at all.
We found only minor bodywork faults as follows: Front lip spoiler has cracked paint, so we removed it, stripped off all the paint and applied plastic renovator gel to it. There are scratches on the underside and other very light scratches, but as the car rides fairly low it's better to leave as is. We replaced all the fastenings with new, as the old ones had corroded with age and become seized. There are two small pin dents; one on the front n/s wing one on the n/s quarter. These are small and can be repaired at extra cost, but it's probably cheapest to have a mobile specialist visit and remove them, to get these two minor faults perfected. Also we noticed on the boot lid there's some telltale marks of a different rear spoiler having previously been fitted. These marks can be removed with compound and don't require paintwork. There are minor stone chips on the front bumper and lower sections of panels as to be expected from age use also a touched in chip on the centre of the bonnet's leading edge. Each of these faults are too minor to require paintwork, but mentioned herewith to give a complete report.
Engine Test Drive: After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very well It's smooth power, no rattling, near new feeling twin plate clutch and all signs of a well maintained car. Excellent oil pressure (( nearly 6kg/cm2 cold 2.5 kg/m2 when warm) at idle shows this is an engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear, it's super smooth too. The gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchromesh wear found on these cars. We found no faults to report at all. Car pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and is making approximately 350 bhp. The tightness of it's feel and care / money lavished on it suggests this car was used as a weekend toy and has rarely been on a circuit.
Make no mistake - this is one of the best R32's we're likely to have this year. Now spring is almost here, prices of top examples in Japan have already strengthened, so we're unlikely to find many more good examples like this in 2012. UK Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, valeting, 6 month's road tax, 12 month's MOT 12 month's comprehensive warranty.
