Approximately 1 month before buying this car, we received an order. The customer wanted a perfect condition tiptronic Celica with as much equipment as possible in either Blue metallic or Silver. Ideally he wanted an example with the TRD Action bodykit and if possible some after market alloys... We began the search daily, as soon as his deposit was there to secure the order!
This is the one we eventually located...Perfect spec. except for no sunroof and wheels being standard (Which as you can see we put right). This is a stunning example with complete specification and top condition throughout. Clearly the one owner this car's previosly had was very fussy about keeping his car in top condition. First registered in 2000, it's in pristine condition with absolutely no underside rust. Looks like a 1-2 year old car, up close.
Equipment includes: Tiptronic Transmission with overdrive steering wheel mounted controls, Part Alcantara Sports Seats, Power Assisted Steering, Electric Windows (Auto Up/Down on drivers side), Electrically Controlled Door Mirrors with retract mode, Anti lock Brakes, Dual SRS Airbags, Climate Control A/C, Remote Central Locking, Alloy Pedal set, Fitted Mats, factory tinted windows, rear wiper, driving fog lights integrated into front bumper, Leather trimmed sports steering wheel, etc. Note there's a 6 CD changer hifi fitted from the factory - as well as a TV/Sat Nav system. This will only work in the UK if professionally converted at considerable expense. It may be best to get a new surround for the hifi and remove the TV altogether, which would be cheaper - alternatively a specialist may be able to make the TV work with a mobile DVD player, relatively inexpensively. Note the button to switch on either pair of front driving / fog lights - although all lights cannot be used at the same time.
Additional extras: The Factory option bodykit from Toyota (made from ABS Plastic) is also fitted, giving a much improved look over UK spec models. It comprises: Complete Front Bumper (With 4 integrated lights), rear diffuser, Evo Styled Rear Spoiler, Side Skirts, Bonnet spoiler, wheel arch extensions. Note that side visors are also fitted. This bodykit option alone cost over £3500 as a dealer fit option in Japan and was not available for the export market. Fit Finish are perfect - as can be seen from our pictures and expected from Toyota. Also, this is a model fitted with Super-Strut suspension (unavailable in UK). Basically a more sophisticated setup than in UK, affording even better handling and composure than UK cars. Suspension is completely standard throughout - but we have included a set of special lowering springs - which can be fitted in UK. These will give the car a much more agressive stance, whilst retaining good ride quality. The wheels fitted were added after purchasing the car. We sourced some used high quality Advan Racing RCII's of size 5H 100 17 x 7.5 + 35, fitted brand new Federal Super Sport 595 tyres of size 215/45R17, computer balanced, then added new wheel nuts - a necessity when fitting sports wheels. The result sets the car off beautifully. Note we can offer further upgrades such as discreetly quiet yet sporty exhaust system, induction kit to make the engine even more responsive, front rear tower bars from C-One Motorsport and a full range of other sports parts. With the car clearly having been cherished all of its life, having being a non smoker's car, the interior is excellent with no faults to report. Although there were some scratches to each side skirt, rear bumper and bonnet spoiler, each of these has been repainted. When cleaning the car, we noticed a few tiny chips, so we touched these in with a small touch-paint supplied by our bodyshop. There are 2 small pin dents on the o/s quarter panel and one on the passenger door. These are very light and too small to require repair - but are mentioned for the purpose of giving a complete and accurate report.
This car has been beautifully cared for. Note that paintwork is very well preserved and the headlights not yellowed from UV. This is because it's been garaged much of it's life. It also had special wax treatment when nearly new to seal the paint. As part of our preparation has just been machine polished and fully valetted prior to photographs - It's beautiful! Note this car is a Storm Blue Metallic (Colour code 210). In cloudy light conditions or at night it looks black, but in bright sunlight it's blue hue becomes more apparent. Looks more blue in the flesh than the photos will show.Test drive revealed no faults at all. Excellent VVTLi performance especially from 6,000 rpm and a good comfortable ride. This car's been regularly serviced by Toyota. Checking the engine oil also showed it's been changed relatively recently.
