DESCRIPTION

Hi Iain,
Here's details of your CRX at long last! Thanks for all your patience! Now I have actually also seen the car myself, I can re-confirm it's exactly what we have been looking for since the beginning of the year.
The search is finally over!!
1992 (Presumed October, TBC), CRX Del Sol 1.6 DOHC Transtop. Black. Only 52,712km (32,760 genuine miles) from new!
Equipment includes: PAS, Central Locking, Electric windows front and back, optional driving lights, Air Conditioning, fitted mats, electric Transtop roof / boot lid, rear spoiler, cloth sports seats, high quality Sony MD / radio, Racing Sparco lightweight alloys with 195/15/R15 tyres.
Auction grade of this example is 4 (Auction sheet is available). The interior's condition reflects the mileage. Seats are unworn, although they will benefit from being valetted and having ingrained dust washed out. Door trims have some unsticking of vinyl, as is common on all of these, although in this example it's only mild. The roof was tested and found to work perfectly.
Underneath the car, there's no significant rust - confirming this car's spent much of it's life in Tokyo, where it was registered. Even the original exhaust is virtually corrosion free. The spare's never been used and the tool kit also seems to be intact.
Exterior is in excellent condition for the age of the car. As shown on the auction sheet, the n/s door has been repainted at some point in the car's life. Faults found with the bodywork are: A blemish on the centre of the rear bumper, 2 light pin dents on the front n/s wing, a tiny pin dent on the o/s quarter, 2 pin dents on the driver's door and a blemish on the rear spoiler - caused by an acidic bird dropping. Also there is a touched-in scratch on the plastic trim on the n/s of the rear window. The n/s/f driving light is not working. The car also needs a good polish and the engine bay could do with a wash - from the dust it's collected over the years. Each of these faults will each be repaired as part of UK preparation.
All in all, considering this is an older car - it's in amazingly good, original condition! The test drive revealed no faults at all. A good gearbox, no warpage to brakes, good strong V-Tec performance from 6,000 rpm and a good comfortable ride. Checking the engine oil also showed it's been changed relatively recently.

All in all, an excellent example, complete with exhaust and suspension as desired! You will be wanting the full details of costs, so here's the information:
Car cost: 516,00 Yen. Auction Fee: 7,500 Yen. FOB Fee: 75,000 Yen.TOTAL FOB: 598,500 Yen.
FOB Fees cover the costs of transporting the car to storage yard, storage fees, deregistration, customs paperwork, customs clearance, translation of deregistration, shipping arrangements and loading onto vessel. This work is done by Yamagin Corp. who are the export company Newera Imports buys all cars at auctions through. At current exchange rate, the above figure of 598,500 Yen equates to approx. £3,050.Taking into account the cost of UK taxes, shipping, insurance, UK modifications, MOT, UK registration, minor paintwork, etc as described valetting, - The usive of our fee is calculated by our system as: £6,325. The following UK costs are not included, which you may want to consider: (1) Cat 1 Alarm Immobiliser (Cat 1 alarms immobilisers are available from around £330 £150 respectively).(2).Waxoyl to the chassis (£75). All prices would be + VAT.
You may also want to reserve a private number plate (See link to DVLA's number plate website from our links page). These are considerations which only need to be addressed as the car is about to arrive to UK. I'm pleased we got this one - and trust you'll agree - it's an excellent example. As ever, the pictures won't do the car it's full justice. It will look brilliant once fully valetted for your collection upon completion.
We expect departure end of May, aboard a dedicated car carrier vessel - to arrive in Southampton around 1st week of July. We expect it to be with our UK preparation facilities by 2nd week of July, for completion around 1st week of August (Bearing in mind it usually takes an average of 4 weeks to process a car fully upon arrival).
As detailed in "How our system works", the next payment will need to be paid as the car's shipped. Please ensure this payment departs your account in UK to Yamagin's account (details attached) by 25th May at the latest. I attach Yamagin's account details and also information on how our system works, is shown after the car's pictures here.
You'll need to make a remittance of 598,500 Yen to Yamagin Corporation. Your local highstreet bank will be able to make this transfer for you. Alternatively, to get a more preferential rate, you can use the same international bank we use for remitting funds abroad. Please contact Worldwide Currencies. They will be able to quote you the rate for the day you'll remit, then give you easy to follow instructions on how to proceed. Every Friday evening, Yamagin Corp. send me list of payments arrived - and from there I will be able to confirm to you the funds are cleared. There's no problem in sending funds abroad. It's completely reliable.
This will comprise the second payment. 3rd payment will be requested around 3rd week of June in preparation for the car's arrival - which will be balance of £6,325 - taking into account your initial deposit second payment. Funds for the second payment to be sent direct to Yamagin Corp. Japan must be sent for the exact sum above in JAPANESE YEN. Please do not send Sterling.
When you do make the remittance to Yamagin Corp, please send me a copy of the transfer receipt or confirm rate via e-mail, which will help me to trace the payment's arrival to Yamagin Corp and also it's useful if you let me know the exact exchange rate you pay- so I can work out exact costs, rather than a pessimistic calculation for final payment due later.
Further information will come with the final payment request, about the car's arrival, contact details for our preparations centre near Brighton, etc. It's plain sailing (excuse the pun!) from here on!
We hope you'll be delighted with the car we have sourced for yourself and therein enjoy ownership of your 1st car from Newera Imports for many years to come!
Best Wishes,
Miguel.
