Skyline R32 GT-R - Stage 1 modified, Endless Brakes!
This GT-R was originally supplied by ourselves in October 2003, to an American enthusiast working in Germany. As he travelled internationally regularly for work, the car was almost never used and has always been stored indoors. The customer has now returned to the USA where this car cannot be registered, so it's back as our stock!When first imported in 2003, it had covered 33,407 miles - Since then it's done just under 4,700 miles total, most of which consisted of the drive to and from Germany - now having covered just 38,101 genuine miles. A low genuine mileage example with excellent spec and high quality tuning and improvements! It's also the best condition example sourced so far this year by ourselves, plenty of life left in this top example of an R32 GT-R Skyline.
Aesthetics: Condition throughout is excellent, with cosmetic enhancements to further improve this example. Front bumper is an original and rare Tommy Kaira Tomita R item, ideally sized to house the uprated intercooler. Note there's vents built into the bumper too - Nismo style. There's a Nismo rear spoiler lip, as well as Nismo side skirt spats and a Nismo bonnet lip too. These items are now obsolete with only replica items available - not of the same quality as Nismo.Lightweight forged alloy Marquis Promoda alloy wheels of 17" diameter are fitted with sports tyres of size 245/40-R17 each almost brand new. Performance Improvements: Whilst not stressing the engine excessively and allowing it to remain drivable as a daily use car, this GT-R has had mild modifications to enhance it. A pair of HKS SPF induction filters and alloy mounts have replaced the standard airbox. The intercooler is a high quality uprated unit complete with alloy and silicone piping. To further improve breathing, the exhaust system has been uprated with stainless steel high flow large bore front pipes combined with the standard catalyst and an HKS "High Powr Muffler" stainless steel exhaust system from the cat back. The ECU has been replaced with a rechipped unit and the HKS EVC boost controlleris holding at a steady 0.85 Bar. There are Splitfire ignition coilpacks fitted, to provide stronger spark plug performance. We suspect there are a pair of Tomei Poncams fitted, although this is difficult to tell without visual inspection of the camshafts after dis assembly - reason for this is a characteristic idle from uprated camshafts and stronger power at higher rpm than is usual with normal camshafts. The clutch is uprated with a twin plate system complete with smaller lightweight flywheel. The radiator has thoughtfully been replaced with a double capacity item, combined with a Trust Grex oil cooler and remote filter. The cooler core is located behind the nearside corner of the front bumper - Ideal as the bumper has larger vents than a standard bumper too. We have reset the ignition timing to compensate for UK lower octane fuel and this GT-R runs very well and makes approx 350 bhp. To run safest and at around 400 bhp, we would recommend fitment of an Apexi Power FC ECU and controller with mapping in the UK, mapped to 1 Bar maximum boost. We can supply this at £530.00. Professional mapping is available through our own in house highly qualified technicians. Suspension Brakes: The front brake callipers are uprated Endless 4 piston items - complete with uprated slit rotors mounted on semi-floating alloy bells. These give much improved performance over standard - ideal for trackday use / abuse! Coilovers are by ZEAL, one of the most respected suspension manufacturers in Japan. These are fully adjustable, complete with ride height adjustable through the bottom mount, making it possible to set ride height and spring pre-load independently. An excellent kit for Skylines, as they're compliant for road use, yet they give excellent control. There's pillow ball top mounts too. An alloy front tower bar is also fitted, as well as Cusco uprated rear upper arms - to provide greater geometry stability under hard acceleration. Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, rear wiper, velour seats, factory tinted privacy rear glass, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, high oil pressure etc. - all indicate low wear.
Interior: All gauges inclusive of the centre console mounted items are white face Nismo items. On the A pilar is a twin 60mm gauge pod housing Greddy gauges showing boost and exhaust temperature. The sensor for the exhaust temp. is located by the front turbo, ideal for knowing how hard the turbos are working. Steering wheel is a Momo deep dish item in excellent condition and there are alloy pedal covers fitted too. There's low wear at all to the seats, steering wheel, switchgear, handbrake gear gaiter, pedal rubbers, or any other aspect of wear through use - further confirming the low genuine mileage of this example. A Razo leather gearknob is also fitted.Condition: The interior is in excellent condition. This has been a non smoker's car since new, as confirmed by an unused cigar lighter and a clean ashtray with no residue from cigarettes. Interior smells like a new car, despite being a 1994 model! The interior will be fully valetted as part of full UK preparation in any case.
Auction Grade for this car was 4 in 2003 - it's still in top condition having been rarely used since being imported (See original MOT copy). There are no faults to report with the bodywork - this car's just had the front bumper resprayed to repair stone chips and is presented in top condition. Interior is fully valetted, as is the engine bay, etc. Please note there is a small cut on the cloth of the passenger seat - this can be repaired at small additional cost, if preferred.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (5/cm2 at idle when cold, 3kg/cm2 when warmed - at warmer English summer temperatures). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining. Test Drive: No faults at all to report. On the open road it's a superb car to drive, feeling tight and very together. It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and is making approximately 350 bhp with current spec. Makes for a very quick road car!
Total cost of modifications to this car cost approx. £15,000 in Japan!
