DESCRIPTION

This GT-R was bought to custom order specifically for one of Newera's customers is one of the last generation 33's manufactured in 1997. Having been beautifully looked after and modified with considerable experience thought, it has been driven only 85,649 km (53,231 miles) from new.Fast road track tuning has been completed regardless of cost. I.C.S. Yokohama, a specialist in GT-R's was responsible for all the tuning work using top quality parts close attention to detail. Improvements aren't only aesthetic but include reworked turbos by HKS Kansai, Two massive oil coolers and other cooling mods, ATS Carbon multi plate differential, AP Racing brakes, titanium Kakimoto exhaust and much more - to make a tremendously capable fast road / track car endowed with the performance to back up it's looks.
Aesthetics: The paintwork's quality, interior and general condition combined are all visually stunning. A Border bonnet-duct kit is fitted to provide real improvement in air flow through the oil coolers, intercooler and radiator. At the rear there's an Auto Select 3D carbon spoiler blade (Adjustable for rake) and Nismo carbon type spoiler end caps. Note this is a 1997 model and therefore carries original factory Xenon headlights and intercooler ducts in the bumper as well as the deeper front splitter. When we bought this car the front bumper splitter were stone chipped from use over the years, so we took these off and had them professionally repainted, prior to careful re-assembly to bring quality of presentation to the same level as the rest of the car. Wheels are Forged Alloy Enkei RPF1's in gold of 18" size, shod with Dunlop Direzza S tyres RAYS lightweight aluminium locking wheel nuts. Nismo clear side repeaters are fitted and at the front the original trims have been removed. We feel an improvement would be to fit original vented ducts with matching clear indicators and these are available in wanted. The rear bumper's been protected with heat reflective tape. This could be removed and a carbon exhaust heat shield fitted in it's place. Please ask us or see www.neweraparts.com for further details.
Performance Improvements: This GT-R’s been stunningly well prepared by I.C.S Yokohama for fast road track use and we suspect there’s a lot more to it than is visible. Lots of attention to detail – which reveals a high level of thought experience that went into creating this car. It’s the first time we’ve come across an example with not one but two massive oil coolers (One in front of the rad and one behind the nearside bumper vent - neatly shrouded. The ARC Intercooler has two water spray jets to keep intake temps as low as possible. Oil pressure is very good, which may indicate the oil pump’s been uprated – especially bearing in mind 2 oil coolers. There’s also a massive Griffin alloy radiator - the largest we've seen yet on any GT-R, made further efficient with an ARC air seperator tank system. The intercooler is complimented by a complete Greddy hard pipe induction kit. Note the Top Secret oil catch / washer reservoir tank. Checking with HKS Kansai they confirmed the turbos should be their remanufactured items, further evidenced by by 1.3 bar high setting on the HKS EVC 4 boost controller. Likely to have uprated camshafts fitted with Greddy cam pulleys. The battery is a light weight Oddyssey item (Mounted at the rear as std.). Exhaust system includes a HKS equal length large bore stainless 304 front pipe kit, silenced cat replacement pipe and KakimotoGT 1.0Z Racing (Part) titanium exhaust system with removable silencer bung – heat wrapped for thermal efficiency protection of the diff's oil temps when driving hard. Clutch is an ATS multi plate carbon item and there’s a Cusco 2 way diff in the rear - revealed when moving slowly in tight circles. This will stop the inside rear wheel spinning and losing traction when pushing hard. There are proper FRP racing ducts behind the splitter scooping channeling air to the massive AP Racing 6 piston front brakes via heat proof ducting in true motor sport style. Rear brakes include a BIOT oversize disc conversion. These are complimented by high performance brake pads, braided hoses and a Cusco master cylinder brace. Expect braking performance to be tremendous! This stunning GT-R is capable of making around 450 – 500 bhp with very high quality braking and handling modifications. We expect this to be a seriously well sorted car for getting to, from and using at the Nurburgring… :)Note the ECU has been re-flashed for Japanese High Octane (101 RON) fuel. Although this will be safe for low boost (Under 9.0 Bar) with ignition suitably retarded to 18 Deg BTDC, we'd recommend fitting an Apexi Power FC and mapping for UK fuels. Newera recommends RK tuning as the best value for money GT-R specialist in the UK, who would inexpensively be able to set up a power FC for UK fuels on this car, to run at full potential (1.3 bar). We are also able to supply an inexpensive used Power FC ECU commander. New is also available. For further information please ask us www.neweraparts.com!
Suspension Stability Modifications: A Cusco 5 point rear roll cage complete with matching black foam padding is neatly fitted - carpet has been cut around the B pilar floor mounts so if this cage is ever removed it'll be possible to tape the underside of the carpet together and make removal invisible from the interior. Suspension includes Ikeya Formula pillow-type front upper arms , Nismo front anti-roll bar, front pillow tension rods RSR Concept coil-overs. Combined with Enkei rims / S tyres will enhance the handling braking to even higher levels of performance. Setup is for high performance quite hard at present. It's possible the spring rates have been uprated. If required for UK road use, we can reduce firmness or supply different less agressive coilovers for this car. There's also a Cusco front strut brace.
Interior: Steering wheel is by Nardi. Note the car came to us with a single Recaro Raptor seat and a black Bride driver's seat. We sourced another matching Recaro and fitted a genuine Recaro rail too - for better aesthetics. The last owner was a non smoker. Note: As this was a hobby car for fast road circuit use - no hifi equipment is fitted to this car. Wiring is of course still there if a hi-fi is desired. This could for example be mounted in the glovebox, or the heating control mounted there instead to make room for a 1 DIN head unit.
Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, factory tinted privacy rear glass, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, oil pressure etc. - all indicate low wear.
Condition Report: Note this has been a non-smoker's car since new. There are no dents to the chassis rails - an unusual condition considering all the work this car's had. The air-conditioning has been removed, although original components are in the boot - to enable re-installation of A/C should this ever be desired. We valetted this car and in doing so checked the bodywork thoroughly noting all faults. As shown by pictures, condition of paint work is outstanding! The following are too minor to require repair, but are mentioned for the purpose of providing a complete report: On the rear o/s quarter there's a small pin dent. Bonnet has a small pin dent to the leading edge. On the boot lid there's some blemishes / water marks. None of these faults are noticable unless looking specifically for them. We noted the driver's electric mirror retracts electrically but doesn't return to position - and needs to be pushed out manually if folded in. The Auto Select rear carbon spoiler blade's gel coat is thin due to age / exposure to UV light and would benefit from being sanded down and re-laquered at some point in the future, although it's nicely presentable currently as pictures show. The tyres are worn to near the legal limit at the front and around 60% worn at the rear. We can source excellent quality performance Dunlop Direzza Z1 Starspec sports tyres at excellent discount and recommend fitting these for fast road / track use of this sort of spec. of car.
Engine Test Drive: Excellent oil pressure (5/cm2 at idle when cold, 2.5 - 3.0kg/cm2 warm). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining. No faults at all to report. Suspension is firm. On the open road it's a superb car to drive. We took this example out for around 10 minutes drive after warming up fully whilst photographing it, and found it felt tight and very together. It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and provides eye popping levels of handling, braking and acceleration - A stunning machine in every aspect! Over £25,000 has been spent by the previous owner in improving this car!
Full Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, 12 month's comprehensive warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT.
This car is SOLD. However, if you'd like a similarly high quality R33 GT-R please Contact us for further information to source an alternative top condition quality GT-R or see our other available stock.
