For about 5 years front extensive experience sourcing these we've been predicting that 32 GT-R's were destined to become prized classics and prices were set to increase fast. Now we are seeing the best examples becoming rarer rarer whilst fetching increasingly higher prices here in Japan, making it very difficult to buy replacement stock. Cheaper cars are available, but they're usually hiding a lot of faults from neglect, abuse, etc. We refuse to reduce on the quality of the cars we supply, so in order to successfully buy now, we've had to increase the prices we pay in order to secure the best stock. We are still offering cars at lowest possible price we can, in the hope we can continue to supply like-minded enthusiasts for as long as possible, but time is running out, in our view. It's a no-brainer that prices in other countries will now continue to rise sharply and eventually our stock replacement costs will become so high, having Skylines in stock may become prohibitive.The R32 GT-R is a playstation generation cult car and was built by Nissan to show off what it was capable of during the Japanese bubble economy and it's now become a legend, originally sold only in Japan with a sprinkling of examples in Australia officially. Many are now dead from neglect, rust, abuse and poor quality modifications so there are few really nice examples left, even in Japan.
This example is one of the most flawless examples we've been able to source in recent years. It has been beautifully preserved and subtly improved with top quality upgrades, with little attention paid to cost. It's all about quality. From the relative lack of ageing to seats, dash, plastics, paintwork, engine bay, underside, improved components, etc. it's clear to us this example's lived a very pampered life indeed.
Power has been improved for enhanced but sensible road use, with particular attention on braking, handling and response with reliability through the highest quality parts:Stage 2 tuning has been completed through work by Matchless Crowd Racing (http://www.mcr-ltd.com). Starting with cooling - there is a top quality Nismo Oil Cooler Kit complete with a remote oil filter mount. The Nismo kit also includes bespoke aluminium ducting for maximum oil cooler efficiency (located behind n/s bumper vents). There is also a Koyo Aluminium twin core Radiator with Nismo 1.3 bar radiator cap and a Carbon cooling panel to maximise efficiency. Intake cleaning is via one of the best filtration sets - a Blitz Sus Power Induction Kit. An MCR tuned Apexi Power FC ECU with boost controller kit hand held controller are fitted to control fueling. This is the ideal plug play ECU for these cars, since every tuner will have software, base maps and familiarity with this unit. The exhaust system consists of an Apexi N1 front pipe, Metalit high flow catalyst a 5-Zigen Miracle Fireball exhaust. A Nismo Timing belt (changed 20,000km ago) Nismo Oil filler cap are fitted.Keeping to maximum quality there is an ATS Carbon Twin Plate Clutch. As a friction material, carbon actually works better the hotter it becomes, thus it's ideal use in performance applications. There is a Nismo 10% short shift kit Nismo Clutch Slave cylinder also, for precise shifting.With a nice, tight gearbox strong oil pressures of 6 bar cold and just under 3 bar at idle we expect this engine has plenty of trouble-free life to give. There's evidently been much thought experience in equipping this car. For example there's a Quick disconnect (-ve) battery terminal, which would have been fitted because the previous owner didn't want to have the battery run down from lack of use over time. It's clear to us this car's been stunningly well cared for.
Suspension, Braking wheel improvements: Braking has been vastly improved through a serious expensive upgrade at the front. There is a Brembo front brake kit with F50 type (Biot) floating rotor kit. These offer much improved stopping performance over standard. Complimenting these brakes are a set of SSR Type-C RS 18 inch wheels in near perfect condition with new sports tyres unmarked WORK Blue anodised wheel nuts. Suspension is for fast road use, but offers comfort and supple control via TEIN Control Master Flex coilovers. A set of TEIN tension rods offer improved steering feel response. An Apexi carbon front tower bar + Aluminium rear tower bar help stiffen the car's structure. External Cosmetic Interior Upgrades: Continuing with the theme of no expense spared, the previous owner had the body restored a couple of years ago and garaging it thereafter. (As it has zero rust on the chassis, we assume the original paint had aged). This started out as a very rare blue metallic (TH1) example, but there's been a subtle change. It's now Aurora Flare Blue Pearl Metallic (Colour Code: RAY), which is an R35 GT-R colour. As we have another TH1 coloured example coming into stock in future, we compared side by side. Without the cars near each other the colour looks exactly the same, but the more modern shade has a much deeper reflection, especially in the sun (For comparison you may check previously sold stock - there's a TH1 V-Spec of 1993 listed, which was bought to order for a customer last year).It's slightly lighter has a deeper pearlescent depth. Aside from being completely rust free – as per our usual standards, this bodywork is flawless with a depth of finish that is rarely seen on any car. Clearly this was a quality expensive paint job. There is a Nismo (replica) bonnet lip, but otherwise the exterior is all original.Inside you are greeted by a Personal Leather Steering Wheel with HICAS compatible boss and an MCR Shift knob complimented by a Carbon Finish Console Trim a brand new set of Nismo Floor Mats. There is a Blitz boost gauge Greddy Turbo Timer. Instrument bulbs have all been replaced with LED (White) instrument bulbs, which give a much clearer easier to rear display at night. There is an Alpine 200W head unit with aux amplifier and uprated speakers too. Further Improvements available: Although this car needs nothing added, if wanted there's still more things the new owner can do to personalise for his own GT-R perfection (We're here to help!). R32's look particularly good with full Nismo body options. We can supply front bumper ducts, the rear spoiler lip side skirts too (Made from FRP, so the rear lip wouldn't corrode from the inside like the original). Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, sports velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure, etc.- all indicate low wear and no abuse.
Engine Test Drive: After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very well! It's got good smooth power and all signs of a well maintained car. Excellent oil pressure (( nearly 6kg/cm2 cold 3 kg/m2 when warm) at idle shows this is an engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear, it's super smooth too. Clutch (ATS Carbon Twin Plate) feels as if it's got plenty of life the gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchromesh wear found on these cars. We found no faults to report at all. Car pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and is making approximately 380 bhp at 0.9 bar. It's also clearly been beautifully mapped. Even cold start-up is nice smooth (With nice high oil pressure). The tightness of it's feel, lack of stone chips and care / money lavished on it suggests this car was used as a weekend toy and has never been on a circuit. Condition report: There is just one single fault to report on the body. On the rear n/s arch there is a light line dent. We had a dent technician try to remove it, but tools don't reach that far inside the arch, so this has been left as is. Most wouldn't notice it, but after spending a day polishing, we note these things to give a full report. Inside is similarly very tidy, as pictures show. We noted just a minor bubble on the dash, close to the nearside vent. Most 32's have much worse damage to the dash from UV.
Supplies of good 32's at affordable prices are drying up fast now prices of top Skyline R32 GT-R's in Japan are continuously strengthening. As such our prices will be forced to continue to rise in 2015, in line with having to pay increasingly more for top condition replacement stock. These cars are now firmly on collector's car category and will continue to appreciate.
