Skyline GT-R V-Spec. Modified Turbos & Tuned.






This is only the 2nd example of an R33 GT-R we have sourced so far this year, with uprated turbos fitted! It's a rarer V-Spec model, to boot - In top condition, as can be expected of our hand picked stock!

Performance Improvements: This car has been tuned to stage 2 by Mine's - one of Japan's premier Skyline specialists, most noted for their preparation of cars for road tune. The standard ECU has been re-chipped with a Mine's VX-ROM which enables this car to run to 0.90 Bar of boost. Turbos are Nismo N1 with steel internals. These are of similar size to standardm but can boost up to 1.35 bar safely and are rated to 280 bhp each (560 bhp total). The intercooler is by HKS. A Blitz solenoid boost controller is fitted. The air filters are M's type / KN units, giving maximum filtration, whilst also allowing unrestricted air flow. As a side effect, these also enable the wastegates to be heard when the throttle is released. The downpipes are equal length Mine's Pro items which give noticably better response at higher revs. A high flow catalyst is fitted and the rest of the exhaust is a Fujitsubo Legalis Super R cat back system. This combined system is not excessively loud, although it sounds fairly special under power - as a result of the Mine's downpipe. Attention has been paid to cooling, with a huge Greddy racing aluminium radiator replacing the original, combined with a Grex (Greddy) remote oil filter mount and oil cooler located in front of the radiator. The injectors are standard 480cc items, so for this reason the car only runs to 0.9 bar boost. This is good, as it means the car's got the most expensive upgrade, in terms of Nismo turbos, but it's not been run on higher boost, so it's lived a relatively easy life.Although the Mine's ECU will run with UK fuel to produce approx 380 bhp with current settings, we recommend a course of action to get approx 500 bhp as follows:Upgrade to a set of 700cc injectors, plus a SARD uprated 280l/h fuel pump and a SARD Racing fuel pressure regulator. Fit an Apexi Power FC ECU, so the engine can be mapped to run on UK 98 RON fuel at up to 1.3 bar, which should give around 500 bhp, at relatively low expense. Metal head gasket full metal gaskets are also available. These performance upgrades and more, are available inexpensively from - We carry out any engine tuning and mapping to highest professional standards at £45.00 per hour labour.Suspension Wheels: Geometry control when accelerating hard is improved with the use of Nismo upper arms at the rear. Also fitted are fully adjustable Ohlins coilovers. These are some of the highest quality items available for a GT-R and are very well suited for road use - and an excellent choice for trackdays too. Damping can be easily adjusted from the top of each unit. Ride height is adjustable too. A full set of some of the most sought after alloys for a Skyline are fitted - Original monoblock lightweight forged alloy Volk Racing TE37 alloys complete with 245/40ZR18 Yokohama DNA Grand Prix tyres on each corner - approximately half worn. Wheels are also in nearly new condition - there are some very light scratches , but being forged alloy, these don't mark easily - and scratches have been painted in by the previous owner.Other exterior improvements: HID headlights are fitted - to give powerful and glare free lighting. Note that Nismo bumper vents, bonnet lip and rear valence extensions are fitted. Further aesthetic improvements combined make this a Skyline GT-R V-Spec even more unique are available from We suggest: Nismo clear side repeaters, D-Speed clear front indicators, LED rear lights, Nismo B pilar carbon trims and Nismo rear spoiler carbon covers.
Interior upgrades condition: Greddy 52mm diameter gauges are neatly fitted in the passenger glovebox to show oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and boost. There's a Blitz SBC Boost controller fitted below the steering column. On top of the steering column is a Mines Speed meter. Note being a 1996 model, this car has the later style steering wheel, with a passenger SRS airbag. Condition of the interior is excellent with virtually nothing to report. Carbon fibre look leather gaiters specially tailored for the R33 GT-R are also available inexpensively through - these would give the centre console area a much improved appearance! Hifi is a high quality Pioneer MOS FET MD/Radio unit with 200 W Peak R.M.S. power. This unit is included free of charge with the car.
Standard Dealer Option Specifications: This is a rarer and more desirable V-Spec model, complete with active electronically controlled rear Limited Slip Differential and adoption of ATTESA E-TS PRO system for the 4WD bias control. Brakes are Brembo at each corner with 4 pistons on each front calliper and 2 pistons on each rear. The front lip spoiler is a later - deeper than the first generation type. In this car's case, it's been colour coded. Also included as standard: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, velour seats, privacy rear windows, adjustable rear spoiler, original full set of fitted mats, etc.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (5/cm2 at idle when cold, at ambient Japanese summer temp of 35 Deg C). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are also in excellent low wear condition. We test drove this example and found it felt tight and very together. Idle is very smooth from start up, no rattles or squeaks from the interior, good smooth braking stability. It feels like a car that's not been driven hard and there is evidence this is the case, given that the paintwork is so original and spotless - with no stone chips to the front.
Clearly the last keeper polished it regularly to keep paint work this good. All signs show this hasn't been a Skyline that's been driven hard and modifications are sensible to improve the car yet still allow it to remain relaxing to drive for daily use. Note the lack of stone chips at the front of the car - this is a sure sign that it hasn't been driven hard regularly. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, indicator stalks, pedal rubbers, brake discs, exterior - all indicate low wear and careful use. This has also been a non smoker's car. Auction grade is 1 (Auction sheet is available). The reason for grade 1 is because of the non original turbos and other modifications. The front lip spoiler has been painted to colour match the car. There are some scratches to this. The front bumper also has some minor scratches as shown. The o/s headlight - being plastic, has some light fogging, not really visible except close up. These minor faults are each to be repaired to present the car in top condition to our usual high standards, if the full en.
