Skyline R32 GT-R - Stage 1 modified by Mines.
This GT-R is the lowest mileage example we have sourced in a very long time - with only 24,441 genuine miles since new!! It's a has been improved with stage 1 tuning by Mine's to give it approximately 350 bhp yet still allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. Note this is a 1994 (October) model, so it's one of the last R32 GT-R's made. A low genuine mileage example with excellent spec and high quality tuning and improvements! It's also the best condition example sourced so far this year by ourselves, plenty of life left in this top example of an R32 GT-R Skyline.
Aesthetics: The paintwork, interior and general condition combined are the most stunning thing about it. It looks like a car that's 2 years old and been lovingly cared for. Nismo front intercooler vents have been fitted into the front bumper, to give more air flow to the intercooler. Also, there's a Nismo rear spoiler lip, as well as Nismo side skirt spats. Near new lightweight forged alloy Volk Racing CE28 alloy wheels of 17" diameter with high quality Yokohama Advan Neuva sports tyres of size 245/40-R17 each near new. To finish off the cosmetic improvements on this car, we'd recommend some D-Speed clear front indicators, plus LED rear light clusters. See for details!
Performance Improvements: Performance upgrade parts are almost all nearly new - or unused. Whilst not stressing the engine excessively and allowing it to remain drivable as a daily use car, this GT-R has had mild modifications to enhance it. A pair of M's fine mesh induction filters and alloy mounts have replaced the standard airbox. The intercooler is a high quality ARC unit. To further improve breathing, the exhaust system has been uprated with a high flow large bore equal length (Possibly Mine's) front pipe, a catalyst replacement pipe and a Mine Silence VX stainless steel exhaust system from the cat back. The ECU has been replaced with a Mines VX Rom rechipped unit and the Blitz solenoid boost controller (SBC) is holding at a steady 0.85 Bar (Boost reading is given by the HKS Dual Auto turbo timer, which also reads boost). The camshaft pulleys and timing belt have recently been changed. The pulleys are now HKS Slide cam items, usually only fitted with uprated cams. We suspect there are a pair of Tomei Poncams fitted, although this is difficult to tell without visual inspection of the camshafts after dis assembly. The clutch has recently been uprated with a complete HKS R Type twin plate system complete with smaller lightweight flywheel. Nismo uprated engine and gearbox mounts have also been fitted. Clutch feels near new, judging by the progressive feel of it. Most of the performance upgrades have been made. The car now runs very well and makes approx 350 bhp. To run safest and at around 400 bhp, we would recommend fitment of an Apexi Power FC ECU and controller with mapping in the UK, mapped to 1 Bar maximum boost. We can supply this at £530.00. Suspension Brakes Struts and springs are by TEIN. These are fully adjustable. An excellent kit for Skylines, as they're compliant for road use, yet they give excellent control. The pillow ball top mounts have not been used, as these get noisy over time, so instead original top mounts are used. Being TEIN, they're also servicable in the UK by TEIN U.K, unlike some brands. An alloy HKS Kansai front tower bar is also fitted, combined with a smaller HKS Kansai brace for the rear. The front discs are recently fitted Project Mu SCR uprated rotors and on the rear, there's uprated cross drilled discs also. Brake pads are Project Mu Sports compound. Silent, but fade free and suitable for track use.
Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, rear wiper, velour seats, factory tinted privacy rear glass, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, oil pressure etc. - all indicate low wear.
Interior: There's no wear at all to the seats, steering wheel, switchgear, handbrake gear gaiter, pedal rubbers, or any other aspect of wear through use - further confirming the low genuine mileage of this example. A Nismo alloy gearknob has been fitted. Condition: The interior is in excellent condition. This has been a non smoker's car since new, as confirmed by an unused cigar lighter and a clean ashtray with no residue from cigarettes. Interior smells like a new car, despite being a 1994 model! The interior will be fully valetted as part of full UK preparation in any case.
Auction Grade is R. This is the grade given for a car which has had a repair, such as this example, where the o/s rear quarter has been replaced. Also the front n/s corner has previously been repaired, although not sructurally. The front inner wing section has been replaced (As opposed to panel beating) and the front panel also changed, along with wing and bonnet. These items were replaced with new and so this was a very expensive repair. Quality is excellent and it's clear from the inside that the boot floor wasn't changed or even requiring repair. Also careful inspection shows us there has been no jig used in the repair (No previous chassis damage) - hence this was a cosmetic repair. The panels all fit perfectly too, indicating everything is as straight as it should be.
We washed this car and checked the bodywork thoroughly noting all faults. As shown by pictures, condition of paintwork is outstanding! Here's the ONE fault we found on the bodywork. Small stone chip (See picture) on the bonnet and minor stone chips to the Nismo rear spats from road dirt being thrown up. That's all! Stone chips are best left as they are - since they're minor and will appear on any GT-R after some use naturally.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (5/cm2 at idle when cold, 2.5kg/cm2 when warmed - at warmer Japanese summer temperatures). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining. Test Drive: No faults at all to report. Nice quiet and rattle free ride even over our bumpy yard. On the open road it's a superb car to drive. We took this example out for around 10 minutes drive after warming up fully whilst photographing it, and found it felt tight and very together. It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and is making approximately 350 bhp with current spec. Makes for a very quick road car!
Total cost of modifications paintwork to this car cost the last owner approx. £11,000 in Japan! All signs show this car has been well loved and modifications carefully selected to enhance the performance whilst remaining usable for daily driving - Expect this to be a very quick and fun car to drive with perfect poise and instant response. Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, 12 month's comprehensive warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT.
