Nowadays finding a good R32 GT-R is becoming increasingly harder as time takes it's toll and so few owners give these cars the care they deserve. Destined to become one of Japan's most prized classic cars the good examples are strengthening in price as collectors begin to realise pristine examples are becoming a rare breed. Having been garaged much of it's life and being completely corrosion free. we'vee selected this example for our stock as one of the very best affordable near original spec. R32 GT-R's we've seen in a long time. Improvements: This car's power remains mostly standard aside from a few mild modifications. Induction kit is by M's (KN) there's a Kakimoto cat back stainless steel exhaust.Suspension modifications consist of Ohlins PCV coilovers with pillow upper mounts, front rear Apexi strut bars, Nismo original modifications include: front bumper lip, front intercooler ducts, N1 headlights, rear lip spoiler, full white face instrumentation with 320km/h speedometer, engine damper.
Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C (Control is relocated to the centre console), PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, sports velour seats, factory privacy rear glass, original (rare) wind deflectors, original leather steering wheel and shift knob, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure etc. - all show low wear.
Interior: It's very rare nowadays to find a BNR32 interior in such excellent condition. From 16 years of age, the seats could benefit from being shampoo'd but are intact. Note the ashtray is clean and unused and there is no smell of tabacco so it would appear the most recent owner was a non-smoker.
Exterior: The bodywork is in outstanding condition and shows signs of having been regularly polished and cared for. It would appear this car's been owned by mature people, bearing in mind the lack of pin dents repairs. In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's, nor on the underside. On close inspection - We found only the following minor faults: On the rear n/s quarter there are some touched in scratches. The rear spoiler's laquer is ageing as is the nearside mirror's laquer. These 3 minor flaws will be professionally taken care of and repainted as part of full UK e front n/s wheel has some noticable scratches and one small dent on the edge. We'll be replacing this and the missing jack, as part of our preparation also.Inside, condition is very good. The steering wheel has some scratches presumably from use of rings by the previous owner. Note the Air conditioning control panel has been re-located to the centre console. This can easily be returned to origginal position if a UK style 1 DIN unit is used in future. We note the cigar lighter is missing, but an original can easily be sourced. Finally, we noticed the boot release lever doesn't seem to be working. May be a disconnected release cable - needs checking.Engine Test Drive: There’s excellent oil pressure (4 kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 2.0kg/cm2 when at normal operating temperature) at idle shows this is a strong engine in good health. After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very well. Being of standard tune the engine has hardly been stressed in it's life to date feels tight and is silky smooth. Gearbox works well with a clutch that has plenty of life remaining, although we did notice the synchromesh in 1st gear is weak and benefits from a short delay in selecting especially when cold. Suspension still feels taught and gives a comfortable ride, but please note being pillow ball Ohlins, the rear upper mounts are a little noisy over bumpy roads. Brakes feel good. Clearly this R32 GT-R's been owned by one mature owner who never used it hard and cared well for it.This R32 GT-R is currently stored at our yard in Yokohama and is available for prompt shipment.
