DESCRIPTION


This GT-R is reserved for shipment to Edmonton, Canada, where is will be sold by our new regional office, headed by Erik Benke, himself also a complete R32 GT-R enthusiast and owner!
This Skyline has been improved with stage 1 tuning to give it approximately 350 bhp yet still allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. As one of the first R32 GT-R's produced, this is a lightweight model too. It's been beautifully preserved and cared for by it's previous owners and lovingly modified to enhance it.
Aesthetic improvements: Inside, there's a Sparco steering wheel, matching blue suede gaiters and a Greddy water temp gauge. There's also a turbo timer fitted! Volk Racing Touring Evolution forged lightweight alloy wheels of size 17" are fitted at each corner. To aid maximum flow to the intercooler, original Nismo vents are fitted into the front bumper. A Nismo rear spoiler lip has also been fitted and in addition some carbon fibre look mirrors (remote controlled) have replaced the originals. The bonnet is an original Veilside Street Drag carbon fibre item. As a suggestion, we are able to supply and fit clear front indicators, sourced through D-Speed at low prices.
Performance Improvements: Whilst not stressing the engine excessively and allowing it to remain drivable as a daily use car, this GT-R has had mild modifications to enhance it. Neatly mounted on the steering column is a Blitz boost gauge. Turbo boost control is looked after by an original HKS solenoid electronic boost controller. The clutch remains standard, for ease of drivability. Although an original (cold fed) air box is fitted, in the boot is an ARC alloy air box, with twin induction filters. The intercooler is a standard unit. Note there's also a high capacity oil cooler fitted behind the passenger side - bumper vent. The exhaust system has been uprated with a high flow catalyst and a Fujitsubo exhaust from the cat back. The ECU has been replaced with a Mine's Rom rechipped unit. This can either be used as is - combined with ignition timing retard to allow safe running on foreign fuels available, or to maximise performance, we are able to supply a high flow downpipe pipe inexpensively and an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of £565 incl. hand held FC controller (For further information click on www.neweraparts.com). Suspension Suspension remains standard except for HKS progressive (20mm lower on each corner) suspension springs. Both front rear strut braces are made by Nismo.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, rear wiper, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, etc. - all indicate low wear. The driver's seat 2 holes from wear - so we are replacing this with an undamaged matching seat before shipment.
General condition: Auction Grade is 3. This is the grade given for older cars by some auctions - although at other auctions, from the evident condition, this car would have been awarded a grade 4. Notably the bonnet has been replaced and the door on the passenger side has been repaired / replaced in the past. The bonnet's clear coat is slightly matt from age, although this is improved by polishing it would benefit from an application of clear coat again. The paintwork on this car has recently been perfected, so there is little to report: On the driver's door edge, there are some minor chips, as shown on pictures. Also, on the passenger door there's a couple of VERY tiny pin dents. There's a tiny stone chip on the rear (driver's side) quarter. Finally on the rear spoiler, there's some chipped paint. There are photos to show each of these faults clearly. Virtually nothing for a 15 year old car! The wheel rims have some superficial kerbing scratches. Note that as the tyres are half worn only. Bridgeston Potenzas on the rear - Dunlop Le Mans on the front. Size of tyres is 245/45/ZR17 at each corner. Original mileage is around 115,000km (71,000 miles) from new. The Mine's ECU was fitted when the modifications were carried out - as the car was then de-restricted and so could do over 180 km/h. The engine is in fine health, as is the way the car drives. Engine has excellent oil pressure (4kg/cm2 at idle when cold 2kg/cm2 when warmed to normal operating temp). It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and is making approximately 350 bhp with current spec. Makes for a very quick road car! Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are not worn much at all. We test drove this example for around 10 minutes drive and found it felt tight and very together with only some vibration found on the front wheels at speed - meaning the wheels need balancing. It's possible the front suspension upper links are also worn, as this is a common fault on R32 GT-R's at around this mileage. (Inexpensive to repair - parts are available from www.neweraparts.com) The only faults we could find cosmetically are as shown. Note the absence of corrosion to the underside - and also absence of damage to the sill jacking points, as is common on R32 GT-R's!Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £4,500 excluding labour to fit, etc. All signs show this car has been well loved and modifications carefully selected to enhance the performance whilst remaining usable for daily driving - Expect this to be a very quick and fun car to drive with perfect poise and instant response. Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, 12 month's comprehensive Motorcare warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT.
