Newera received an order in Jnauary 2005 from a customer, who wanted as new as possible an Evo 8 MR - in Silver. Within 4 weeks of starting the search, we found the following car as a dealer registered but not driven example at a trade auction and purchased it for him.

2005 (January) Lancer Evo 8MR. 6 Speed Manual. In brand new condition! Cool Silver is the colour, as specifically requested.
Standard equipment includes: 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission, PAS, Dual SRS Airbags, / channel ABS, ACD, Super AYC, Rear Wiper, HID Headlights, Remote Central Locking, carbon look facia panels, MR badge on centre console, Recaro front seats, Rear Privacy Glass, etc. A standard alarm Immobiliser is also fitted complete with remote central locking. Brakes are standard Brembos. Wheels are lightweight Enkei forged alloys - which weigh approx 6kg each (Without tyres). Tyre size is 23545/ZR17.
On MR models, specific differences include specially tuned Bilstein dampers and matching springs, Full carbon rear wing, Door crash bars in aluminium alloy, lightweight alloy roof panel. Gauges are of special design for the Evo 8 MR - also. For the MR model in addition to the engine being of stronger internal specification than ever before, the power and torque band have been increased. The 4G63 engine's strong low-middle range has been maintained. In addition, as quoted by Mitsubishi Japan, power and top end response are improved considerably. Although officially the power is quoted as 280 bhp, in reality it's closer to 320 bhp as standard.

Auction grade is 9aa. Any grade over 5 denotes a brand new car. The various grades from 6-9 detail such things as plastic protection still on seats, etc. A copy of auction sheet is available. It's in stunningly good condition with absolutely no signs of having been driven except for testing at the Mitsubishi Factory - then driving around the auction grounds to photograph. In the UK it will be driven to and from the SVA test centre from Folkestone to Gillingham ( back). At all times, it will be carefully driven, as the car will still need running in for around 2,000km, to ensure the engine beds in nicely.

- This car exceeded expectations the customer had - and he is as delighted as can be, to have got a new car for a large saving over what are essentially rebadged Japanese spec Evo 8 MR's known as the "FQ320"'s supplied through UK Mitsubishi Rallyart dealers!

Taking into account the cost of the car in Japan, UK taxes, shipping, insurance, UK modifications and adaption topass SVA, MOT SVA testing, Model report hire, UK registration, valetting, - Sourced to order, the of Newera's £900 set fee was just: £22,390.
