DESCRIPTION


Modifications are of the highest quality available, carried out since in the UK, fitted by our own workshop mapped by GT-Art. Turbos have been replaced with Garrett R34GTR N1 Ball Bearing turbos (0.64 Inlet Housing, 0.64 Exhaust Housing), these are the largest N1 items available although still boost early in the RPM range, helped by the ball bearings, these were fitted complete with HKS turbo elbows and HKS steel exhaust gaskets, to withstand increased operating demand. To improve breathing a HKS PFC induction kit has been fitted complete with a HKS hard pipe kit. The exhaust down pipes have been replaced with large bore up rated Apexi items. The catalyst has also been removed and replaced with a de-cat pipe (Not required for MOT). A full cat back Kakimoto exhaust system is also installed. An Apexi Power FC ECU and Commander are fitted, complete with boost monitor control kit, holding boost @ 1.2Bar mapped by GT-Art. Sard 700cc injectors, complete with a HKS 280L p/h fuel pump look after fuelling. A Trust oil catch tank is installed for improved combustion at high engine loads. HKS spark plugs and Splitfire coil packs are also fitted. A Nismo high pressure radiator cap helps keep the cooling in check. The inlet manifold gasket has also been up rated to a steel HKS item in order to withstand the prolonged increased boost pressure reliably. Power was recorded at 440 Bhp @ 1.0Bar, so is now around 500Bhp @1.2 Bar. A very fast GTR!
Suspension consists of Tein fully adjustable coilovers, sitting around 40mm lower than standard - some of the very best kit available, also fitted are ARC front and rear up rated anti roll bars, Tein front lower tension rods, Cusco camber adjustable rear arms. The Hicas has also been replaced with a hicas removal kit and combined with a Skylab torque Split Controller (varies the amount of drive to the front wheels during cornering) for further improved handling. As you can imagine the handling is awesome! Wheels are BBS LM forged 2 piece items fitted with sports tyres of size 255/40/ZR17's - all tyres in good condition. Front Rear Cusco upper strut braces have also been fitted, combined with foam filling the sills and riveting the rear panels to increase chassis rigidity to the maximum without fitment of a cage. Rear differential is also an up rated item, further improving handling. A 2WD switch has also been fitted, allowing the owner to select 2wd for fun/drifting or burnouts as desired.
Brakes are also up rated with Dot 5.1 Race Fluid and a large disc conversion on the front, with grooved 320mm discs and up rated pads. Rear brakes are also up rated with up rated pads and grooved discs. To improve pedal feel a Cusco master Cylinder brace has also been installed, giving a more solid pedal under hard braking.
The clutch is an up rated twin plate item, complete with lightweight flywheel, sharp in use and handling the power without complaint. The gearshift has been improved with a Tomei short shift kit.
Appearance has also been improved with the highly sort after genuine Nismo options, including full nismo Side Skirts, Nismo rear spoiler (compliments standard rear spoiler), Nismo front bumper vents and Nismo bonnet lip.
This is ideal spec for UK fast road driving / track days. It boosts well from 3,500 rpm and holds peak boost with no sign of power tailing off as the rev limit is reached. Oil pressure starts at nearly 4 kg/mm when cold and stays above 2 kg/mm when warmed - which indicates a good strong engine.
The interior is in good condition, with no faults to report. The driver's seat is a genuine Bride item fixed back item, complete with a pair of red Sabelt 4 point harnesses. These hold the occupants in position comfortably, ideal for track days. If preferred we can also switch the drivers seat for a good condition standard original. This has been a non-smokers car. Note also that the switch gear, seats, etc. are all in good unused condition, with no wear to door panel, etc. In combination with excellent oil pressure, these further confirm the car's condition. A single CD/Radio head unit is fitted (UK origin with UK radio frequency) complete with 4 up rated Alpine speakers all around.
There are the usual standard equipment of Hicas 4WS, Atessa 4WD, ABS, PAS, P/W, Central Locking, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, A/C, fitted mats, etc.
This example has been very carefully modified by Gareth Brunt who runs the UK workshop and is in fact currently his own personal daily car, now being replaced with a more sensible Celica GT-4 for a change.
In keeping with how Gareth likes to maintain his cars this one also has been maintained to an unbelievable standard. In the six months that Gareth has owned this car in the UK it has had no less than 6 oil and filter changes all with Mobil 1 motorsport! He has also fitted a new cambelt with complete new tensioner assembly and all rollers with a crankshaft front oil seal at the same time to cure the small oil weap once present. At the same time the PAS fluid, Gearbox oil, transfer box oil, front rear diff oil, clutch fluid and brake fluid were all also replaced. The spark plugs have been replaced with HKS iridium items.
In order to prepare this car for the salty UK roads the car has been professionally steam cleaned underneath before being oven dried and a complete underbody waxoyl treatment applied to avoid any unwanted corrosion. The rear foglamp has also been incorporated within the existing rear light units, avoiding and ugly bolt on lights.
To keep this car safe in the UK a Thatcham approved Cat 1 alarm has been fitted, complete with remote central locking.
The only faults to report on the whole car are a light scratch to each rear quarter panel and a small stone chip to the o/s/f wing. These are too minor to warrant repainting but are mentioned for the purpose of a complete description. Note that this car has not one single pin dent to report, with paintwork in immaculate condition. Note the front bumper was recently repainted to factory finish to remove the small stone chips.
