Nowadays finding a good R32 GT-R is becoming increasingly harder as time takes it's toll and so few owners give these cars the care they deserve. Destined to become one of Japan's most prized classic cars the good well looked after rust free examples are strenghtening in price as collectors have begun to realise pristine examples are becoming a rare breed. This example has been beautifully preserved. This Nismo kitted example will appeal to someone looking for the very best they can get to either keep as near standard, or to use a great base from which to improve further to own tastes.
Performance and Cosmetic improvements: Power cosmetics have been improved for enhanced but sensible road use. Stage 1 tuning has been completed by Mine’s with a VX ROM ECU upgrade, Blitz SBC Boost controller and HKS Super Powerflow Reloaded induction kit, with an HKS Hi Power Muffler (Stainless 304). Cooling is improved with a two core Koyo radiator. Cooling fan is further controlled by Billion VFR Pro (Note that as standard, oil in an RB26 is cooled with a water heat exchanger also). There’s also a Greddy turbo timer. This combination allows boost to be safely improved to 0.9 Bar (Even on UK 98 RON Fuel) which equates to around 370 – 380 bhp at the flywheel. Suspension struts are original, but fitted with lowering DR21 suspension springs. Wheels are possibly the most desirable of all for a GT-R, genuine BBS LM 086’s of size: 18 x 10 + 20, with good condition sports tyres. Note also the genuine Nismo bumper ducts at the front. Inside, there’s a replacement Nismo gauge cluster with 320km/h speedometer. Note this was fitted new, at 41,324km (25,683 miles). Note that LED back-lighting has also been retro fitted to all the instruments. A Momo Race leather steering wheel has replaced the original and there’s a Nismo horn button. A Nismo white Duracon shift knob is also fitted. A Razo alloy pedal cover set is also fitted. Audio consists of a Clarion double DIN Tuner / MD / CD of 200W power.  Audio is untested and supplied free of charge with this car.
Further Improvements available: Although this car needs nothing added, if wanted, there's still more things the new owner can do to personalise for his own GT-R perfection (We're here to help!):If intending to improve performance, we can supply all manner of tuning parts, from a simple Power FC ECU upgrade with injectors, etc. right through a range of turbos to extra large bespoke oil cooler kits, a full range of roll cages, suspension improvements, etc. To further modernise the looks of this car, R35 GT-R rear badge, Newera orange Crystal/clear/smoked front indicators and interior improvements such as, Nismo floor mat set, etc . Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, sports velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure, etc.- all indicate low wear and no abuse. Interior condition: From 20 years of age seats has some grubbiness (As with all RB26 GT-R's), the seats could benefit from being shampoo’d. As with many 32’s, there’s a bubbled section on the dashboard. This can be repaired by a specialist in UK (Injecting Evo Stik glue, spreading with use of light pressure then heating with a hairdryer to soften the vinyl and promote glueing is the usual method of repair. It’s best left to an interior repair specialist – being inexpensive to do). We noted the vertical section of the driver’s seat has a very small area which is splitting. Although this isn’t necessary to repair, if preferred we can replace the driver’s seat with a black Recaro SPG with bespoke BNR32 seat rail. Note the ashtray cigar lighter were removed to make way for the A/C control panel to be fitted lower down. As there’s no smell of tobacco so it would appear the most recent owner was a non-smoker. Exterior: This is a non-accident car since new. Bodywork is in outstanding condition showing signs of having been well cared for. In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's, nor on the underside. We found only minor bodywork faults as follows: There are 3 small pin dents on the o/s and 2 on the n/s quarter respectively. On the bonnet there’s a (Hard to show in pictures) blemish on the fore section. We’ll be re-spraying the bonnet and using a dent removal specialist to take out the pin dents from the rear quarters. On the rear spoiler there’s some touch up paint to the seams and left corner. Also, there’s a minor crack on the front lip. These faults too, will be put right as part of preparation in UK, to present the car in beautiful condition.Engine Test Drive: Timing belt was changed 25,000km ago Oil has also recently been changed. After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very, very well! It's got strong power and all signs of a well maintained car. Excellent oil pressure ((4kg/cm2 cold 2 kg/m2 when warm) at idle shows this is an engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear, it's super smooth too. Clutch feels as if it's standard and the gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchromesh wear found on these cars. We test drove this example for around 45 kmsand found no faults to report at all. Car pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and is making approximately 370 bhp. The tightness of it's feel and care / money lavished on it suggests this car was used as a weekend toy and has probably never been on a circuit. Make no mistake - this is one of the best R32's we're likely to have this year. Now spring is here, prices of top examples in Japan have already strengthened, so we're unlikely to find many more good examples like this in 2010.
