This Starlet Glanza V currently belongs to staff of Newera imports. Having been in the country almost a year, she’s decided its time for a soft top! It’s a 1996 model, having covered only 46,808miles from new!

Performance equipment includes: Apexi Dual funnel oil impregnated Induction kit, Buddy Club complete Stainless Steel Exhaust System, giving a deep tone even at idle from the 1.3 16V Twin Cam Turbo. The boost has been raised to 0.95 Bar with a Blitz SBC boost Controller and HKS fuel Cut defender to raise the factory fuel cut. Boost is held stable with a HKS turbo actuator. Fuelling is controlled with an Apexi SAFC that can also be used to show data such as peak boost, RPM and throttle position. This example is developing 170 BHP after a rolling road mapping session at skyline tuners Gt-Art, not bad from a 1.3! It certainly surprises a few cars and keeps up with a standard Impreza WRX! To keep a check on the engine GReddy electronic gauges are fitted to monitor Oil Temp, Water Temp and Boost pressure. The standard dump valve has been replaced with a GReddy adjustable Blow Off Valve giving a discreet chirp when lifting the throttle ‘on boost’. Bodywork has been improved with a full factory body kit including Front Lip Spoiler, rear bumper valance, and lower rear wing and factory side skirts. Also fitted are clear front indicators, complete with clear side repeaters. A GT wing replaces the upper rear wing.

Handling Wheels Interior: The handling is awesome due to the light weight combined with Tein HA fully adjustable coilover suspension, that can be raised/lowered/stiffened/softened as desired for track or road. This Glanza is currently riding around 40mm lower than standard, giving both improved looks and far superior handling over the standard suspension set up, with little to no body roll when cornering hard! The handling really is superb. Steering wheel has been replaced with an expensive Momo item only 2 months old. To keep the driver firmly in place the driver’s seat has been replaced with a supportive Recaro reclining seat. The factory stereo has been uprated with a Sony MD/Radio headunit with 10 disc Sony CD Changer. Speakers have been uprated with pioneer units all round. A remote central locking cat 1 Sigma S30 alarm is fitted with additional extras that illuminate the front fogs when arming/disarming allowing the driver to see the path in unlit areas. The interior light is also illuminated upon disarming.

The factory wheels have been replaced with lightweight, forged, genuine Split Rim 15" alloy wheels, with 195/50 R15 82V tyres. When combined with the reduced ride height, the factory body kit and increased rim size, this Glanza V looks the part!

Original equipment includes: 5 speed manual transmission, Power Steering, Electric Windows with auto up/down on drivers window, Air Conditioning, Rear Wiper, Fitted mats (upgrade for stylish red items), Remote Controlled Door Mirrors with retract mode, Central cup holders, ABS, Front Driving Lamps integrated into the front bumper, Rear Spoiler and window wind deflectors.

Since in the UK this car has had a full service and cambelt change. The service included Spark Plugs (NGK Platinum), Engine Oil (Changed every 2000miles since in the UK, looks like new!!), Gearbox Oil, Brake fluid, and coolant. Additional items also changed include a new clutch 6,000 miles ago and new brake pads, front and rear. All were replaced with genuine Toyota parts.

This Glanza V has been nothing other than cherished all its life, especially once in the UK. Paintwork is immaculate with not a fault to report, not even a pin dent. It has been polished with Auto Glym weekly!
