DESCRIPTION

This car was originally supplied through Newera imports in 2002 and has since been transformed into a track weapon! An extensive professional engine rebuild was carried out in November 2005 at 64571 miles by well known and respected rotary specialist WGT autos, with a no-expense spared attitude (£6,500 receipt to show!) The car has covered at total of 65550 miles. Taking into account the normal 1500 miles required to run the new engine in the car has covered around 2,300 miles since the rebuild. Performance is exceptionally strong with a good tight feel and response with strong power delivery from under 3,000 rpm all the way to the red line, complete with race car levels of grip handling.

Performance upgrades:
Extensive mods have been carried out to ensure both performance and reliability are maintained. The engine was street ported by WGT and a HKS T04e turbo kit was fitted at the time of the rebuild. A custom fuel rail housing 1640cc secondary injectors was fitted to ensure the correct fueling is maintained at 1.0bar. A large custom intercooler along with a high capacity WGT radiator ensures low inlet temperatures and low water temps during hard use. An alloy air seperator tank is also fitted for reliability along with a Samco silicon hose set. Power is transmitted through a Exedy Hyper single clutch and lightweight flywheel. Electronics are taken care of by a Apexi power FC ECU and commander along with a Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller to keep boost delivery smooth at all times. A Greddy boost gauge allows the driver to monitor the boost pressure. The engine has been expertly mapped by Pip at WGT in the UK to ensure both power and reliabilty and the dyno sheet shown 402bhp at the flywheel with printouts to prove.Power delivery is relentless and progressive with boost building from under 3000rpm, maintaining a strong rush of power all the way to the redline.A Racing Beat twin pipe exhaust is fitted along with a WGT silenced midpipe to help keep noise levels down. With a sound meter the car recorded 99db's drive by so this would be sufficient to allow the car to pass most UK trackday noise tests. The air conditioning has been removed to save weight and free up space in the engine bay. A lightweight drycell battery is also fitted which is half the weight of the stock item! Recaro SPG lightweight race seats along with Salbelt harnesses ensure both driver and passenger are held in place during hard cornering. A bolt in six point roll cage is fitted along with a diagonal tensioning bar. This cage has the added benefit of stiffening the shell which further improves handling. The rear of the interior has been stripped with just the boot carpet left in place( All interior trim is included with the sale of the car) The stereo system has been removed although one could easily be refitted if the new owner desires. A 300mm suede OMP wheel allows more leg room for taller drivers. An R-Magic bonnet ensures maximum cooling to the engine and this is complimented by a 99' spec GT Aero front bumper with a large front opening allowing maximum airflow to the intercooler. Feed carbon side skirts are fitted to proportion the bodykit front to rear. A knightsports dual plane rear wing adds downforce in long sweeping corners. This is mounted to an RE-Amemiya lightweight rear hatch, along with it's light weight glass this helps to lower the centre of gravity of the car. This part alone is £1800.00 to buy new and that's before fitting and paint!!! Wheels are forged BBS LM split rims shod with Falken Azensis RT215 track tyres, these have plenty of tread left. Tein HA dampers are fitted with 16 clicks of adjustment allowing the driver to fine tune the handling balance, these are complimented by a set of Racing Beat front/rear anti-roll bars which allow the car to remain flat and stable during hard cornering. Brake calipers are stock, but are fitted with Hawk HT10 pads front and HP+ rear, fliud is Motul RBF600 race fliud.

Make no mistake. This is one of the very best condition RX-7's in the UK, with well thought out modifications to make a superb track / fast road car. If you want to eat Supercars for breakfast with a Japanese car, this is your tool.

Total cost of mods fitted to this car exceed £20,000!! The engine rebuild and turbo conversion cost £6,500 alone so this is a very cost effective way of buying an RX-7 with all the mods already done.Clearly the current owner did'nt comprimise on quality of parts fitted to this car and all parts were carefully chosen for function rather than form. Every bill and reciept has been kept for all work and the car comes with loads of paperwork and RX-7 manuals etc. A Toad CAT1 alarm is also fitted. Supplied as a completely standard example by ourselves, this RX-7 has been garaged every winter since coming to the UK, the condition underneath will testifiy to this. The owner has regularly spent an entire day polishing the bodywork. It's unmarked throughout! Maintenance has been carried out always as a money no object by the UK's most recommended rotary specialist WGT!

Inclusive of 12months MOT and 6 months tax this car is ready to drive away now in the UK at £11,950. Please contact the current owner,James Baum directly to arrange a viewing on 01455 2738339 or email jamesbaum@talktalk.net
