The Nissan March CVT Convertible offers something of a rarity for the driver looking for small car open air fun for four. The only two other Japanese alternative has been the Figaro, which has obtained a cult following - for those who are seduced by it's retro charm and chic looks. By comparison, the March convertible offers many benefits over it's older sibling, notably safety and engineering improvements - making this an ideal easy to drive convertible for a younger driver. Indeed, this has been one of our staff's cars, chosen for it's top quality and low mileage - irrespective of cost, when bought 2 years ago. Due to her growing family, this car's sadly got to go to make way for something larger and more sensible. It's been maintained absolutely regardless of cost during this tenure, including fitment of a brand new Nissan original soft top and rubber seals. Condition is like near new as pictures show.
Original Equipment:Dual SRS airbags, side impact door bars and ABS, plus full roll-over bar, safety is much improved. There's an electrically foldable roof, making it easy to put the top down at traffic lights or in-between bright spells. An original matching tonneau cover is also included. The rear window's glass and has a heating element for keeping rearward visibility clear. Air conditioning is also included, as is power steering, power assisted brakes, etc. All 4 side windows are electric, with Auto option for the driver's glass. Mirrors are electrically adjustable too. There's remote central locking operated by the original key. The interior's fabric is exterior colour matched blue/green grey also with matching original option floor mats. Engine is a modern 1.3 litre DOHC 16 Valve fuel injected unit making a peppy 85 bhp. Transmission is an Auto CVT unit. This means the engine note remains constant as the gearbox constantly optimises gearing. The result is seamless power and surprisingly good performance / economy.
Improvements: We fitted an Alpine 45W x 4 head unit, complete with iPod compatibility. This also plays MP3, CD, Radio, etc. Face is removable for anti-theft when the roof's left open, etc. Radio Antenna is auto-electric. Uprated alloys are fitted as shown. Clear side repeaters have also been fitted. Installed in this car is an easily removable Navi system - as this won't work in the UK, we can take it out if preferred. Alternatively it's possible to make it work as a screen for a DVD player, so if wanted - we'll include it free of charge.Condition: This is a far better example than usually seen as an import to the UK (Bearing in mind these are very rare). As already mentioned, the roof's been recently replaced along with all sealing rubbers (Due to a split in the material from age). Cost of roof and specialist fitting at Nissan Japan was in excess of £1,500. It's also been regularly manintained with oil changes every 6 months. Just prior to this last summer the air conditioning was fully serviced. Car's been regularly washed and waxed. Owned from new by non-smokers. Body's in excellent condition as all pictures show. There are some tiny scratches on bumper corners, which will be repaired prior to shipping to UK (Or other country).
