This GT-R has been carefully modified and tweaked by Active Auto (Japan) to stage 1 to produce a stunningly well prepared car for street use. It's in absolutely outstanding condition throughout and likely to be the very best condition entry level R32 GT-R for road and occasional track use available. See full pictures to find out why.
Performance Power Modifications: Apexi dual funnel (x2) oil impregnated mesh air filters. Apexi GT Intercooler, ECU re-programmed by Active Auto (to run at max of 0.9 bar). An HKS 3rd generation electronic valve controller takes care of boost. Exhaust consists full Veilside stainless steel system including enlarged diameter downpipe and cat replacement pipe. These modifications combined enable this GT-R to make a reliable 360 bhp approx. at 0.85 - 0.9 Bar maximum boost. A boost gauge is mounted on the steering column, for easy monitoring. The clutch is an uprated unit, ideal for repeatedly quick getaways. It's still very progressive and silent, so is quite new.
Suspension Handling Modifications: Wheels are Nismo LM-GT4 17 x 9.0 Monoblock lightweight forged alloys of 17 x 9.0J size. Nearly new Bridgestone Potenza RE-O1 sports tyres of size 245/45/R17 are fitted to each corner. These wheels are manufactured by RAYS and wheelnuts are also produced by this company, complete with a locking wheelnut for each wheel (key is with the car). At the front there's a Nismo strut brace. Rear has a Cusco brace. Suspension has been upgraded recently to TEIN HA units, ideally suited to sports applications for road use. These units are fully adjustable for damping and ride height. A damping adjustment tool is in the glovebox. Rear upper arms are adjustable cusco items, which enable camber to be correctable when lowering ride height.
Cosmetic Modifications: The front bumper is fitted with Nismo intercooler vents and a desirable Nismo bonnet lip. Sideskirts are also Nismo as is the small lip rear spoiler.
Interior Modifications: The original speedometer is documented as having been replaced with a 320 km/h Nismo unit at 58,770km (36,525) - presumably at the same time as when the car received it's ECU upgrade. Already mentioned above - there's a boost gauge and boost controller. Steering wheel has been changed for a Personal leather rimmed item. The pedals have been fitted with alloy covers to help make heel toe downchanges easier. The hifi is also a recent model - An Alpine 200W 4 channel unit with CD Radio. Note the face is removable - for security. Speakers are also uprated on each corner of the car. A Blitz turbo timer is also fitted. Please note that all electronic interior modifications are supplied free of charge with this car.
Usual extras include power windows, central locking (with remote control), climate control air conditioning, power steering, ABS, Hicas 4WS, Atessa 4WD, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, privacy windows in the rear, rear wiper, original fitted mats, etc. Front discs are near new solid standard items. Rear rotors are drilled and also in excellent condition. Pads are of standard compound.
Interior is completely unmarked! Seats look as if they're nearly new. Unusual to find an example wiht an interior this good. This has been a non smoker's car since new! Auction grade of this GT-R is 3. (Picture of original auction sheet is available). Condition is - as pictures will show, absolutely outstanding! The front lip spoiler has been colour coded and has some minor scratches on the o/s corner under-side. Fairly normal on any GT-R! The n/s quarter has 2 very small dents (Picture available). Also the rear bumper has one area of slightly faded laquer. The rest of the bodywork is absolutely unmarked throughout!! As you'll see from photos of the car underneath, it's very clean there too! The reason for the 3 grade is because the o/s/r quarter panel has been replaced at some point in the car's history. We have taken full pictures to show this has been fitted to high standards and also taken pictures to compare both sides. To the untrained eye it's almost impossible to tell. Of course, the inner panels show no sign of repair or replacement. This rear quarter was replaced as a cosmetic repair, not a structural one.Note that there are no stone chips and an absence of pin dents and damage from use of this car. From the condition of the bodywork, it's clear - despite modifications, this car wasn't used hard at all.
We test drove this GT-R and could find absolutely nothing amis. It's been stunningly well looked after. Boost is 0.85 - 0.9 bar, which is safe for the standard turbos. The car pulls strongly throughout the rev range with a characteristically healthy sound from the engine under load. Clutch is easy to use. The suspension is firm, yet dampens bumps with compliant comfort. There are no squeaks or rattles in this car. Engine is especially sweet with oil pressure of 40 kg/cm2 when cold and 25kg/cm2 when up to normal operating temperature - this is a sign of a good, healthy GT-R engine. Oil is relatively clean too. There's no doubt this car has been impeccably looked after.
The colour is a a red metallic, that has evidently been regularly polished to keep it shiny and in top condition. It's a rare hue and it looks absolutely stunning!! The Nismo alloys suit the car very well too, giving it a classy, awe inspiring look! The cost of all the parts fitted to this car are in the region of £6,000 in all - without even considering the cost of labour to fit!! It's clear this was a car owned by a man who particularly liked Nismo items. Most of the modifications are from this tuning arm of Nissan. Nismo parts are not cheap. Just the bonnet lip costs around £350 new in Japan!
This car will be prepared to perfection by ourselves in our new workshop near Brighton, where it will be modified for UK use, paintwork repaired as required, MOT'd taxed and supplied with 12 month's comprehensive Motorcare warranty.
