This GT-R has been improved with only mild tuning to allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. It's in stunningly original condition throughout. In our opinion, this is the best condition example we have stocked so far in 2005!
Aesthetic improvements: A full set of probably the most sought after alloys on a Skyline - adourn this car. BBS LM2 2 piece forged lightweight alloy wheels of size 17" with nearly new Bridgestone Potenza RE-01 tyres (size 245/40/ZR17) fitted at each corner. Wheels are also in nearly new condition and come with McGard locking wheelnuts (The best and most expensive locks available), complete with key and pouch.
Performance Improvements: The engine is basically set to stage 1 tune, with only breathing modifications to provide less restrictive flow of gases and thus improve performance to around 320 bhp at 0.75 bar standard boost. Air filters are uprated with Apexi Dual funnel oil impregnated metal mesh cones. The twin turbo manifold downpipe is uprated with a large bore system from Mines, going to the standard catalyst. From the cat-back, there is a quality high flow but relatively quiet "Impul"" stainless steel unit fitted, which further improves breathing and provides faster turbo spooling. Brake discs have been uprated at each corner with cross drilled Nismo rotors. The timing belt was changed at 97,526km (60,612 miles). Note that this car has been very recently serviced by Nissan too A Nismo front strut brace is also fitted. The ECU is standard and all that is stopping the car from having a further 50 bhp approximately. Please note that we are able to supply a catalyst replacement pipe (Legal in UK for 1992 models) inexpensively and an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of £565 incl. hand held FC controller. We are also able to supply boost Greddy Profec B II boost controllers from £185. At time of writing, we also have some genuine carbon fibre Nismo intercooler vents clear front indicators in stock which would go very well with this GT-R also. Interior: An original Nismo reclinable sports driver's seat is fitted. Steering wheel is original and unmarked. Hifi is a Kenwood Cassette/Radio unit with 180 W Peak R.M.S. power. In the boot is a 10 CD changer complete with Cassette - also by Kenwood. This is included free of charge.A turbo timer is also installed, although hidden from view. Note that the front mats have also been changed for Nismo uprated luxury items. There are straps on the passenger side for securing a small fire extinguisher, although one is not supplied with the car. Note that the rear windows have a tint mesh fitted over them. This is half way between window tinting and none at all. Doesn't significantly affect visibility and gives discreet privacy.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, Hicas 4WS, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalks, pedal rubbers - all indicate low wear and careful use. All signs show this has been a non smoker's car, with an unused cigar lighter and asktray. The driver's seat has no holes or badly worn fabric, as is usually found on examples that are not genuine.
Auction grade is 3.5 (Auction sheet is available). Condition of paintwork is as shown by pictures, absolutely outstanding throughout! There is some cracking of paint on the n/s part of the front bumper and also some small marks as shown on the rear bumper. Also there's one small pin dent on the rear quarter, close to the fuel filler cap. There are photos to show each of these faults clearly - although all will be repaired professionally to present this car to our usual high standards on completion. The many photos of this car will show clearly this example was very carefully looked after, inside, outside and mechanically. Note that there are no dents on the sill's seams - which further indicates this car's been solely maintained at Nissan dealers or similar.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (4/cm2 at idle when cold). There's no paint peeling off the intake Plenum at all. These are each signs of genuine mileage and a healthy engine that has not been used hard at all. Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are not worn much at all. We test drove this example and found it felt tight and very together. Idle is very smooth from start up, no rattles or squeaks from the interior, good smooth braking stability. It feels like a car that's never been driven hard and there is evidence this is the case, given that the paintwork is so original and spotless - with no stone chips gauned over the car's life in Japan.
Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £3,500 excluding labour to fit, etc. This has been a one owner car since new. Clearly the last keeper polished it regularly to keep paintwork this good. All signs show this hasn't been a Skyline that's been driven hard and modifications are sensible to improve the car yet still allow it to remain relaxing to drive for daily use. We believe this car has been owned by a mature Japanese man,who has kept it garaged throughout most of it's life.
