Lancer Evolution 8 MR - Perfect Condition Throughout!

At the beginning of this summer we received an order from a customer, who had previously bought a Forester STi Facelift model from ourselves. His requirement was for a near standard but as perfect as possible Lancer Evolution 8 MR. Within around a month, we found this example and bought it to order. It's as perfect an example as we could have hoped to find and demonstrates the commitment to quality Newera is known to offer. 
Perfect condition: It's very rare nowadays to find a (auction) grade 4.5 car of 10 years old. It's plainly obvious from it's condition this Lancer Evo 8MR 6 Speed Manual has been garaged since new. There is no ageing to the paint or plastics, nor to the carbon fibre rear wing blade. It's also clear to us this car hasn't been driven hard at all; this is shown by the lack of stone chips to the front and also relatively low levels of brake disc wear. A complete lack of scratches & chips to the wheel edges confirm the previous (one) owner was an older enthusiast. Inside neither the ashtrays nor the cigar lighter have also never been used. Interior is in near perfect condition throughout too and very clean. On the underside there is no corrosion at all. Wheels too have zero corrosion. Even the engine bay is in near perfect condition; it's as if this example went through a time warp. Condition throughout is amazing - far, far better than any example imported to the UK when these were first made. There's no reason this particular example shouldn't last another 10 years +.
Standard equipment & more includes: 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission, PAS, Dual SRS Airbags, / channel ABS, ACD, Super AYC, Rear Wiper, HID Headlights, Remote Central Locking, carbon look facia panels, MR badge on centre console, Recaro front seats, Rear Privacy Glass, etc. A standard alarm & Immobiliser is also fitted complete with remote central locking. Brakes are standard Brembos. Wheels are lightweight Enkei forged alloys - which weigh approx 6kg each (Without tyres). Tyre size is 235/45 ZR17.
On MR models, specific differences include specially tuned Bilstein dampers and matching springs, Full carbon rear wing, Door crash bars in aluminium alloy, lightweight alloy roof panel. Gauges are of special design for the Evo 8 MR - also. For the MR model in addition to the engine being of stronger internal specification than ever before, the power and torque band have been increased. The 4G63 engine's strong low-middle range has been maintained. In addition, as quoted by Mitsubishi Japan, power and top end response are improved considerably. Although officially the power is quoted as 280 bhp, in reality it's closer to 320 bhp as standard. Additional Improvements: There is just an Exas cat back exhaust with (Adjustable length) titanium tip. The hifi is an original Mitsubishi option unit. There is also a turbo timer located on top of the steering column. We can supply further parts as may be required, although for this example we'd recommend preserving it well and enjoying it as Mitsubishi intended.
Condition report & Test Drive: Auction grade is 4.5b & a copy of auction sheet is available (For the owner). This is about as good as a 10 year old car could ever hope to be found. The underside has no corrosion at all. Aside from minor wear to the edges of the alcantara bolsters plus some smoothing of the steering wheel and shift knob, these are the only faults we could find after going through the car with fine detail. It's been serviced regularly and shows as having been recently serviced. Oil is still a light gold colour. It drives absolutely perfectly too. There is plenty of life remaining on the clutch. No rattles from the (Bilstein) suspension and no drama from the brakes, even under hard use. Performance is very strong too, in line with what the unofficial power figures suggest. Condition of this example (including mileage) is much like that of a 2 year old car in the UK. Within a few more years this should become a collectable example as one of the last great Evo's made.
Total of 12 month's warranty, 6 month's road tax, full UK registration valeting before collection is: £21,190.
