DESCRIPTION
This GT-R has been carefully modified and tweaked by MINE's (Japan) to stage 1 to produce a stunningly well prepared car for street use. It's in absolutely outstanding condition throughout and likely to be the very best condition entry level R32 GT-R for road and occasional track use available. See full pictures to find out why.
Performance Power Modifications: Turbos are uprated items from Nismo. These are similar to standard in size, but have uprated steel internals, instead of ceramic - so they can withstand greater boost pressures. Head gasket has also been replaced with a metal item. ECU re-programmed by MINE'S (to run at max of 0.9 bar). An HKS 3rd generation electronic valve controller takes care of boost. Exhaust consists of a full MINE'S stainless steel system including equal length large diameter stainless steel downpipe and cat replacement pipe. An oil catch tank allows blow by gases to not be pumped back into the combustion chambers, which would reduce spark plug efficiency and cause small losses in power too. These modifications combined enable this GT-R to make a reliable 360 - 400 bhp. A boost gauge is mounted on a purpose made cowl on the steering column, for easy monitoring. Also fitted is a Techtom digital readout, which takes readings from the ECU directly, giving water temp and Voltage. On the centre console there is a bank of Nismo uprated white faced gauges. Also fitted is a Rev-Speed meter, which will allow the driver to automatically log things like highest speed, lap times, 1/4 mile times, etc. In addition there is also a turbo timer fitted.
Brakes are uprated with Nismo slit rotors with uprated sports pads. Performance of brakes is very good with no signs of warping or any significant wear at all. A Cusco brake master cylinder brace helps give maximum feel to the brake pedal as well as reducing pedal travel.
Suspension Handling Modifications: Wheels are Nismo LM's of size 17 x 9.0 2 piece lightweight forged alloys. Ultimate quality Falken Azenis Hi-sports tyres of size 245/45/R17 are fitted to each corner. These wheels are manufactured by RAYS and wheelnuts are also produced by this company.
At the front there's a Spats strut brace. Suspension has been upgraded recently to Apexi Coil Over units, ideally suited to sports applications for road use. These units are fully adjustable for damping and ride height and are currently on firm, yet compliant and comfortable settings.
Cosmetic Modifications: The front bumper is fitted with Nismo intercooler vents and a desirable and now obsolete Nismo bonnet lip. Sideskirts are also Nismo and located below the standard spoiler, is an additional small Nismo lip rear spoiler. These aero parts comprise complete modifications available for the R32 from Nismo. Note that the headlights are N1 types, which are original race items! The bulbs fitted also have a blue tint to them. Original factory equipment includes power windows, central locking (with remote control), climate control air conditioning, power steering, ABS, Hicas 4WS, Atessa 4WD, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, privacy windows in the rear, rear wiper, original fitted mats, etc. A Sony Cassette Radio unit is fitted with a 10 Disc CD changer in the boot. Please note that audio equipment is provided with this car - free of charge.
Interior is completely unmarked! Seats look as if they're nearly new. Unusual to find an example with an interior this good!!! This has been a non smoker's car since new!
Auction grade of this GT-R is 1 due to the replacement turbos. (Picture of original auction sheet is available). Condition is - as pictures will show, absolutely outstanding! The front lip spoiler has been colour coded and has some minor stone chips. Fairly normal on any GT-R! The n/s quarter has a small amoutn of touch up paint on the rear corner. Also the rear bumper has one area of slightly poor quality paint! The rest of the bodywork is absolutely unmarked throughout!! As you'll see from photos of the car underneath, it's very clean there too - with only some denting to the front jacking points (As on nearly all GT-R R32 - R34 models!!)Note that there are no stone chips and a complete absence of pin dents and damage on the flanks - from use of this car. From the condition of the bodywork, it's clear - despite modifications, this car wasn't used hard at all and the car has been stunningly well looked after!
Test drive of this GT-R and could find absolutely nothing amis. It's been stunningly well looked after. Boost is 0.85 - 0.9 bar. The car pulls strongly throughout the rev range with a characteristically healthy sound from the engine under load, when it gets to 6,000 rpm it takes on a more agressive note and pulls harder as a result of the uprated turbos. Handling, braking, clutch, etc. are all perfect. It drives faultlessly. The suspension is firm, yet dampens bumps with compliant comfort. Engine is especially sweet with oil pressure of 40 kg/cm2 when cold and 35kg/cm2 when up to normal operating temperature - this is a sign of a VERy good, healthy GT-R engine. Oil is relatively clean too having been recently changed. There's no doubt this car has been impeccably looked after.
The colour is a a deep blue perlescent metallic, that has evidently been regularly polished to keep it shiny and in top condition. It's a rare hue and it looks absolutely stunning!! The Nismo alloys suit the car very well too, giving it a classy, awe inspiring look! The cost of all the parts fitted to this car are in the region of £8,000 in all - without even considering the cost of labour to fit!! It's clear this was a car owned by a man who particularly liked Nismo items. Most of the modifications are from this tuning arm of Nissan. Nismo Mine's parts are not cheap. Just the bonnet lip costs around £350 new in Japan!
Stickers on the rear can be removed of course - with no marks left behind, or left as is - if preferred.
