This car was imported in May 2005 - supplied by ourselves. Due to the owner's tuning commitments to his exiting RX-7 (Also supplied by Newera), this GT-R is available for sale direct from the owner. As it's a car originally supplied by Newera Imports and therefore a high quality example - we are pleased to offer it amongst our stock on behalf of our customer.
This Skyline has been improved with stage 1 + tuning to allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. It's in stunning original condition throughout - and of the highest quality available, to our usual exacting standards.
Performance Improvements: The engine is basically set to stage 1 tune, with breathing modifications to provide less restrictive flow of gases and thus improve performance to around 340 bhp at 0.75 bar standard boost. Air filters are uprated with HKS Direc Drive SPF induction kit. Intercooler is a 2 row uprated Trust unit. Downpipe is uprated with a large bore system, going to the standard catalyst. From the cat-back, there is a Ganador "Racing Titan" titanium unit fitted, which further improves breathing and provides faster turbo spooling. Titanium construction gives a much lightened exhaust system too - weighing only around 4kg in all! Titanium exhausts are very expensive and also very durable due to their high strength. A removable baffle is also included - This can be mounted into place when the car needs to be particularly quiet. For example, when a scrtutineer is checking the sound levels on trackdays ;) Note that the rear bumper also has a protective plate mounted above the exhaust. In this case it's for aesthetic purposes, although should the catalyst be removed in future and an uprated ECU fitted, it'll provide protection against heat when flames are emitted on over-run.An oil filter relocation kit is fitted to make oil changes very easy - together with an oil cooler to ensure the engine is always as protected as possible. An earthing kit is also fitted, to maximise spark plug performance (Blue wires). Suspension struts are uprated with HKS Hypermax 2 fully adjustable units - these being some of the most recommended suspension for sports road use - as used by many of Japan's top tuners. With an allen key, it can be set to be not too hard, yet firm and compliant for a good sports ride with improvements in handling and roadholding, or harder to provide as much grip as possible. Front Rear Cusco alloy strut braces are also fitted. Ground clearance is around 20mm lower than std - ideal for daily use in the UK. A Cusco front strut brace is also fitted. Note that we are able to supply an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of £550 incl. hand held FC controller. Aesthetic improvements: A full set of Volk Racing 18" lightweight forged alloy 2 pirce rims are fitted. These also come with 4 nearly new Bridgestone Potenza RE-01 tyres of size 245/40/ZR18. Now discontinued Nismo intercooler vents and bonnet lip are also fitted to give the front an altogether more agressive "sorted" stance. Note also that the original door mirros have been replaced with "Ganador" Carbon Fibre look remote controlled units. On the rear, there's an alloy adjustable GT wing. The original holes have been neatly covered and sealed with stainless steel plates (See picture). If preferred the GT wing can be replaced with a standard rear spoiler and the holes repaired perfectly all at low cost. Original GT-R rear spoilers are available through our parts department: Interior and Lighting: A driver's BRIDE (Pronounced Breed in Japanese) reclinable sports seat is fitted. An aircraft style quick release 4 point harness is also included - which is useful for when driving fast, as it'll stop the driver from sliding about in his seat during very fast cornering. A PIAA High Intensity Discharge (HID) kit is also fitted. This gives a clean, cool bright white light with much greater visibility than standard without causing any glare to oncoming cars. A very useful addition! The steering wheel is still in excellent original condition. Hifi is a Kenwood CD/Radio unit with 180 W Peak R.M.S. power. Carrozeria High power speakers with cross-overs and tweeters mounted on the front doors are also included - together with a Navigation system and LCD screen. Note that Sat. Nav. system won't work in the UK without conversion. This electronic equipment is included free of charge. An HKS turbo timer is also installed.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, Hicas 4WS, original option fitted mats, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalks, pedal rubbers - all indicate low wear and careful use. Auction grade of this car was 4. Due to age, some of the wheel edges have very minor scratches on their edges. These are only very minor. Some pictures are available to show these. Condition of paintwork is excellent throughout. It's clear this car's been garage and regularly polished to keep it in such great condition. Most of the exterior photos show an alloy rear spoiler. Please note this is now replaced with an original rear spoiler and paintwork on the boot has been repaired completely to high standard. The current owner is fastidiously fussy about his car's condition. If you think the paintwork looked good in Japan, check out the first 4 pictures shown on the slide show, that's how it looks now!! Paint's reflection is mirror like!!
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (over 4kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 2.5 - 3.0 km/cm2 at idle - when at normal running temp). There's virtually no paint peeling off the intake Plenum. These are each signs of genuine mileage and a healthy engine. Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). We test drove this example and found it performed very well. No faults at all to report.
Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £5,500 excluding labour to fit, etc. Clearly the last Japanese owner didn't skimp on his car. All signs show this hasn't been a Skyline that's been driven hard and modifications are sensible to improve the car yet still allow it to remain relaxing to drive for daily use. This GT-R has also had a full mechanical inspection and dynopack setup for UK fuel by the UK's leading GTR tuners, Abbey Motorsport. We're pleased to report the car has been given a clean bill of health and the engine produced 310bhp on the dynopack. Abbey commented that this could easily be increased to 350+bhp with fine tuning and the fitment of an Apexi Power FC ECU. Abbey also changed the oil and filter before setting the car up.All paperwork and receipts are available for the above work and the car also comes with the original Japanese GTR manuals and receipts for many of the tuning parts fitted in Japan.
