Skyline GT-R (R32)






This GT-R has been improved with only mild tuning to allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. It's in stunning original condition throughout - and of the highest quality available, to our usual exacting standards.
Aesthetic improvements: A full set of Volk Racing lightweight forged alloy 2 pirce rims are fitted. These also come with 4 nearly new Bridgestone Potenza GII tyres of size 255/40/ZR17. Performance Improvements: The engine is basically set to stage 1 tune, with only breathing modifications to provide less restrictive flow of gases and thus improve performance to around 340 bhp at 0.75 bar standard boost. Air filters are uprated with Blitz metal mesh cones. Intercooler is a 2 row uprated Trust unit. Downpipe is uprated with a large bore system, going to the standard catalyst. From the cat-back, there is a "Kakimoto Racing" stainless steel unit fitted, which further improves breathing and provides faster turbo spooling. The timing belt was changed at 50,517km (31,397 miles). This was carried out in April 1999. Note that this car has been very recently serviced by Nissan too (11th December - Next oil service is due at 57,894 miles). Suspension struts are uprated with Ohlins height adjustable units - these being some of the best suspension for sports road use - Not too hard, yet firm and compliant for a good sports ride with improvements in handling and roadholding. Ground clearance is around 20mm lower than std - ideal for daily use in the UK. A Cusco front strut brace is also fitted. Note that we are able to supply a catalyst replacement pipe (Legal in UK for 1992 models) and an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of approx £600 incl. hand held FC controller. We are also able to supply boost controllers from £125. Interior and Lighting: A pair of matching Recaro reclinable sports seats are fitted. A Nardi steering wheel has also substituted the original. Speedometer has been an optional Nismo item since new. Hifi is a Kenwood CD/Radio unit with 180 W Peak R.M.S. power. This is included free of charge. A Blitz Racing boost gauge is mounted on the steering column. An HKS turbo timer is also installed.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, Hicas 4WS, original option fitted mats, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalks, pedal rubbers - all indicate low wear and careful use. All signs show this has been a non smoker's car, with an unused cigar lighter and asktray. The driver's seat has no holes or badly worn fabric, as is usually found on examples that are not genuine. Note that on the boot carpet there is a mark left from a CD changer previously fitted.
Auction grade is 3.5 (Auction sheet is available). Condition of paintwork is excellent throughout. Only some blemishes on the paint of each bumper, some minor stone chips on the bonnet and some small scratches and dings on the door edges need repair, as well as a 1cm area of the rear spoiler. There are photos to show each of these faults clearly - although each will be repaired professionally to present this car to our usual high standards on completion. The many photos of this car will show clearly this example was very carefully looked after.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (over 4kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 2.5 - 3.0 km/cm2 at idle - when at normal running temp). There's virtually no paint peeling off the intake Plenum. These are each signs of genuine mileage and a healthy engine. Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are not worn much at all. We test drove this example and found it went very well. No faults at all to report.
Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £4,500 excluding labour to fit, etc. Clearly the last owner didn't skimp on his car. All signs show this hasn't been a Skyline that's been driven hard and modifications are sensible to improve the car yet still allow it to remain relaxing to drive for daily use. We believe this car has been owned by a mature Japanese man,who has kept it garaged throughout most of it's life.
