This is One of 200 1996 model Skyline GT-R LM Limited V Spec ever made with Champion Blue paint (BT2) - to commemorate The Calsonic Racing GT-R's successes in touring car racing. To boot it's a very rare V Spec example! Recently dyno'd it's making 369 bhp at the wheels. This is an example we know particularly well, having been owned by a friend and www.gtr.co.uk Japan member for 3 years. It's an example we've therefore seen regularly at meets here in Tokyo, as well as occasional trips to Hakkone and Fuji. This car was also featured in the Fast East Extreme DVD, in "Skylines at Dawn". It's been absolutely meticulously looked after with no expense spared and never driven very hard.
The original Nissan instruments werte replaced at 40,251 km’s and the Nismo cluster's speedometer shows 24,338 km’s. So total at time of taking the pictures is: 64,589km = 40,142 miles.
Aesthetic improvements: Paintwork has been polished regularly, and with the car not being driven hard, there are only very minor stone chips to the front bumper. The sides are noticably straight with no pin dents - a testament to the care the owner's taken in parking it away from other cars, etc. when in use. To give a more modern look, D-Speed clear front indicators with Nismo clear side repeaters have been fitted. There's also a retractable front number plate bracket. The rear carbon blade has been painted to color match the car due to a few small chips in the clear. A PIAA 6200k HID kit has been fitted for the main beam. A (Now discontinued) NISMO fuel cap is also fitted.
Wheels Suspension: Volk Racing GT-7 wheels of 18 x 10J size, fitted with near new BF Goodrich KDW2 sports tyres of size 275/35R18. HKS Hypermax coil-overs are fitted, giving a firm but compliant ride. A cusco polished front strut brace is also fitted.
Engine and performance modifications: Augment bonnet dampers with a carbon fibre sleeve negate the use of the original bonnet stay. The engine cover has been professionally repainted in matching championship blue and the original "Twin Turbo" embossed pipe (As well as the pipe behind it) have been painstakingly polished. A polished oil catch / windscren washer tank have been fitted recently with the vent tube routed all the way to the back of the car. To increase performance, the following have been fitted: Apex Power FC ECU with hand held Commander, HKS SPF intakes, HKS Hard pipe kit, HKS dual SSQV BOV, Apexi front pipe, with Apexi N1 exhaust system. A NISMO Super Copper Mix twin plate clutch has also recently been fitted. Note the NISMO oil cap radiator caps too.
Interior modifications: Apexi Power FC Commander, Apexi Rev Speed Meter, with G sensor for G force and power measurement facility. NISMO white face 320 km/h dials, with custom carbon finished dashboard and centre console trim, Defi Boost Gauge BF series with Defi Contol Unit, HKS Turbo timer, NISMO black leather shift knob with new leather shift and handbrake boots, NISMO race style battery isolator red cigarette lighter, Kenwood cd/mp3 player with ipod interface (ipod ready), Kenwood 2 channel amp for rear separates, Kenwood 6 ½ rear separates with tweeters, Alpine 6 ½ with tweeters in the doors. Hayame Carbon pedal covers, MOMO Race blue anodized steering wheel, Do-Luck rear floor cross bar.
Meguro Maintenance, a GT-R only tuner; installed the clutch. and also did the last tune up and full check in April 2007 with nothing to report that needed attention. The last owner changed the radiator fluid in July and the gear box fluid was also changed in March. Engine oil and filter were changed less than 500km ago. In late April 2007, paintwork was professionally polished and sealed too.
This car has only been used for pleasure, as another car is used for commuting to work, shopping, etc. It wouldn't be for sale, except that the last owner was offered his ideal R34 GT-R and couldn't resist. For this reason, we are selling the car on his behalf.
Includes all costs such as full UK conversions, paintwork described, 12 month's comprehensive warranty, valeting, cost of road tax and new MOT. This GT-R has been by ourselves in our new workshop based just outside of Brighton, where our UK office is based.
