Nowadays finding a good R32 GT-R is becoming increasingly harder as time takes it's toll and so few owners give these cars the care they deserve. Destined to become one of Japan's most prized classic cars the good well looked after rust free examples are strenghtening in price as collectors have begun to realise pristine examples are becoming a rare breed. This example has been beautifully preserved. This Nismo kitted example will appeal to someone looking for the very best they can get to either keep as near standard, or to use a great base from which to improve further to own tastes.
Performance and Cosmetic improvements: Power handling have been improved to make a car that's as adept for cruising as it is attacking favourite country roads. Engine and power changes include: HKS SPF induction kit, ATTKD uprated front pipe, Kakimoto Regu 06R cat back exhaust with titanium tip (removable tail baffle is also included), Apexi AVC-R boost controller and Apexi AFC II. An earthing kit helps improve spark plug performance. This combination of improvements give around 340 bhp with good drivability. HKS Hypermax II dampers are fitted in combination with a Cusco rear anti-roll bar . There's a Cusco front brace and a large rear brace combined with a KTS chassis rail brace too. Car feels firm well poised yet comfortable on the road. Brake performance is sharpened with the use of Nismo sports pads braided hoses at each corner, combined with a Cusco master cylinder brace. Body enhancements are original Nismo original intercooler ducts, bonnet lip, side skirt spats and rear lip spoiler. Note the original option wind deflectors fitted. Main beam has been HID converted for improved night time visibility. Wheels are genuine Nismo LM GT4's in near new condition (Including matching bronze coloured centre caps) fitted with Yokohama Advan Neouva sports tyres of size 245/50/R17. These are around 50% worn on each corner. Aside from the Apexi AVC-R AFC II, inside there's Greddy oil temp and boost gauges. A Razo turbo timer is also fitted in place of the original clock, but thoughtfully the previous owner left that in the glovebox in case the new owner prefers a more original look. There's a Razo billet alloy shift knob and later model R33 Skyline floor mat set. Audio includes a Kenwood 1 DIN 200W hifi with security removable face upgraded speakers at each corner. Audio is untested and supplied free of charge with this car.

Standard equipment includes: ABS, Hicas 4 wheel steering, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, sports velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure, etc. - all indicate low wear and no abuse. Interior condition: It's very rare nowadays to find a BNR32 interior in such excellent condition. Dashboard, interior plastics, etc. are all in good condition. From 18 years of age (As with all RB26 GT-R's), the seats could benefit from being shampoo'd but are not worn intact. Note the ashtray cigar lighter are clean and unused and there is no smell of tabacco so it would appear the most recent owner was a non-smoker. The Apexi AVC-R boost controller's display has half a line which doesn't show. This may be possible to fix easily by opening the unit and putting some pressure on the LCD back-side. The display is still legible and this doesn't affect the performance of the boost controller itself.When we bought the car there was an Alpine Navi / TV fitted with a heads up display on the dashboard. This has been removed. There's a light indent mark (Difficult to photograph) on the dashboard from where the screen sat. No screw holes, since it was only secured with double side tape. We've left the controller and wiring in the boot, together with the screen and heads up display. Note the boot trim panels on the sides have been removed, since the rear strut brace wouldn't sit over these usually.Exterior: The auction inspector stated the front n/s wing had been changed, but on checking ourselves we noted the bolts are still original and have never been disturbed. This is therefore a non-accident car. Bodywork is in outstanding condition showing signs of having been regularly polished and cared for. It would appear this car's been owned by mature people bearing in mind the lack of pin dents, repairs and how the wheels have no scratches to the edges at all except for just one very light one (Barely visible). In keeping with the low mileage, it's rust free - with none of the rot often found on the rear arches or anywhere else on BNR32's, nor on the underside. The jacking points are also not caved in, as is often found on GT-R's (design fault - they normally collapse if the standard jack is used! :(We found only minor bodywork faults as follows: There are small stone chips and scratches on the front lip spoiler and bumper. There's a couple of small touch up marks on the bonnet, o/s rear light cover and passenger door - these are of perfect paint match and so only visible when looking closely inspecting the car for imperfections with a professional eye. These are each very minor and do not require repairs.The rear Nismo lip spoiler has deformed slightly over time (Unavoidable, they all do this - it's an unfortunate design fault) We can supply a colour matched FRP replica if desired - inexpensively. On the rear spoiler there's a large section of paint that's cracked and come away - we're currently having the spoiler stripped and repainted in matching 326 code white paint re-fitted before shipment - this is included in the est Drive: Timing belt shows as having been changed at 59,412 km (36,924 miles). Oil has also recently been changed. After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test can confirm it drives very, very well! It's got strong power and all signs of a well maintained car. Excellent oil pressure ((5kg/cm2 cold 2.5 kg/m2 when warm) at idle shows this is a strong engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear, it's super smooth too. Clutch feels as if it's standard and the gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchro wear found on these cars. We test drove this example for around 5 kms and found no faults to report at all. Car pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and is making approximately 340 bhp. The tightness of it's feel and care / money lavished on it suggests this car was used as a weekend toy and has probably never been on a circuit. Make no mistake - this is one of the best R32's we're likely to have this year. As Spring comes, prices of top examples in Japan will strengthen, so we're unlikely to find many more good examples like this in 2010. UK OTR Price: £10,895.
