1992 (April) RX-7 MAZDASPEED 13B REW 1310cc (Twin Turbo).
Type R model. 5 Speed Manual. 58,600 km (36,420 miles) from new.
Usual RX-7 Spec includes: Air Conditioning, ABS, 4 Piston front callipers, fully independent suspension will double alloy wishbones, Power Steering, Power Windows, After mkt. "Nardi" steering wheel, Remote Controlled Door Mirrors, Central Locking. This car has been a non-smoker's car.
Fitted mats are also included...all the standard spec.
Improvements: Mazdaspeed front nosecone, complete with recessed sidelights & indicators housed behind smoked lenzes. It has a larger opening at the front than standard, which helps improve air flow to the radiator, intercooler and air inlet. Rear Spoiler is similar to post 1999 + models. Also, the front bumper is similar to the post 1999 front, so the car looks a lot more modern. Bonnet is also replaced with a Mazdaspeed item, which will help improve under-bonnet temperatures, something Mazda RX-7's are known to have as a weak link. Mazdaspeed are amongst the highest quality suppliers of RX-7 improved parts, especially so, as they're a subsidiary of Mazda itself.
17" RE Amemiya (RX-7 Japanese specialist) Lightweight alloys with correct off-set, etc - All 4 tyres are good. These are possibly some of the most sought after RX-7 wheels. Gorgeous, undamaged and rarely available. Suspension has also been improved with HKS fully adjustable items, which will improve roadholding & handling without major effects to ride comfort. Intercooler piping has also been exchanged for alloy (Plastic ones are prone to coming off under boost), front strut brace replaced with an alloy Mazdaspeed item and ECU uprated to give more power in combination with the rear stainless steel exhaust section. A Blitz boost gauge mounted in a purpose made Steering Column housing is included. Clutch is also uprated, feels like an uprated single plate unit with slightly more pedal pressure than standard, but almost not noticably so. Oil pressure is nice & high, engine responds well too. With this spec, the car is likely to be making around 300 very healthy bhp and it's been put together to stay that way.
The interior is in good condition, with optional Alcantara suede seats fitted. Fabric is in good condition, though there is there is a mark from drink spillage on the passenger's seat. A Kenwood Hifi system complete with CD/MD/Radio, remote control, uprated speakers and a Kenwood Bass bin are also fitted and supplied free of charge with this car. A good 1,500 GBP worth of Hifi, yet alone the cost of wheels, bodykit & suspension at around 6,000 GBP total equivalent, means the previous owner didn't skimp on making this RX-7 something truly special. He most certainly researched what was the best quality. Most after mkt. RX-7 front bumpers wobble more than the anatomy of a page 3 model. This one is properly secured - another reason why we liked it enough to buy for stock. There's even a new set of perspex covers included for the front bumper. These, along with the wheel nut locks and HKS suspension damping adjustment tool have all been stored in the tool compartments for safe-keeping.
The car is of auction grade 3. The reason for this is that the N/S quarter panel has been replaced in the past. Also, there are minor scratches to each bumper, and some small pin dents to the front N/S wing and rear quarter. The bonnet is too close to the N/S headlight and as a result rubs on the plastic as the light5s are used. Bonnet needs shaving in this area and repainting to allow operation without interference. All of these can be taken care of as part of our final preparation in the UK to prepare this car.
Unusual to find a 1992 model in this good-condition! Engine purrs as a standard one should. Interior is also in excellent condition, bearing in mind the earlier model's plastics are more prone to easy scratching. There are some minor scratches (pictures available) - but from condition of this car it's easy to tell mileage is absolutely original as is the car, engine condition also confirms it's low mileage: Ancilliaries such as water pump, air pump, alternator, etc. are shiny and new looking (Pics available). Tool kit is complete and unused, as is the lightweight spare.
A rare chance to have a sought after but usually unavailable specification of RX-7.
Including cost of road tax and new MOT. OTR price: £8,780
Be quick - it'll probably be sold VERY promptly. Avoid dissapointment by reserving sooner rather than later...
A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for shipment to UK. Please contact us for full details & pictures.
We have our own well modified RX-7 and are very enthusiastic about these, as we truly understand them. Newera Imports are the only importer consistently recommended by UK clubs for supplying only the best of these.

1999 (Feb) RX-7 Twin Turbo. Modified. 57,250 km (35,581 miles) from new. 5 Speed. Blue Metallic.
Modifications have been carried out maturely by combined sources but mostly RE Amemiya, using some of the best available components from Japan - to make a superb specification for a Street RX-7:
The front nose is produced by Garage Carrera and houses the largest intercooler we have seen on a street-use RX-7. Also incorporated into the spoiler are Endurance style driving lights and vents to direct air to the oil cooler. Bonnet, side skirts & rear arches are by RE-Amemiya. Lights are RE-Amemiya Sleek Headlamp kit - the latest models, fitted with high intensity IPF units. The GT Wing is a Fujuta Engineering Type 1 unit, all alloy & adjustable for rake.
The Radiator and intercooler are produced in Japan by Toyo Radiators - high quality items of the largest capacity available. The air conditioning is retained, using the original heat exchanger. Induction kit is HKS RS spec. Exhaust downpipe is uprated and has been combined with a Metalit High flow catalyst and a Knight Sports rear section, to give enough back pressure to avoid boost creep, yet allow higher boost settings. There is an Apexi FC ECU & FC Controller unit. Checking the current boost levels reveals Primary Turbo set at 0.85 Bar and Secondary at 0.75 Bar max. This is well within the maximum recommended level of 0.9 Bar for a car with standard engine internals and turbo units.
The clutch is an uprated paddle type. Similar feel to standard, yet able to cope with the 370 bhp or so - this setup is currently making.
In the engine bay, there's an engine stabaliser - which will reduce rotation of the engine block under torque, so that flexing of the drive train mountings is avoided. Suspension is Apexi N1 with full adjustability. It's likely the gearbox and differential have been filled with Oberon synthetic oil - the best there is.
Wheels are lightweight forged alloy Volks Racing TE37's fitted with 235/40/ZR17 & 255/40/ZR17 high performance tyres. Note that these are on the legal limit. Rather than replacing and adding to the OTR price, we will leave it to the new owner to select his (or her!) choice of rubber and have this fitted in the UK.
Inside: A lightweight Recaro FIA Approved bucket seat is fitted complete with an adjustable alloy base (An Original seat can be obtained if preferred). Steering wheel is a Sparco Suede item. Greddy / Trust electronic gauges monitor the Oil temp, Water Temp and Boost. Below where the hifi would be fitted is a turbo timer and a variable fan controller, to aid the radiator in case the need ever arises. Front floor mats are sports type - not original. The shell is stiffened by a 4 point rear mounted roll cage, which takes up the useless rear seating space and gives the car a greater look of intent.
The modifications on this car are very similar to our own, so we understood the sort of performance it was set up for. Well over £16,000 in total has been spent improving this car. It's simply unique. Interesting to compare how this one drove compared to our own, so we went on a 50 km test, to see what it's like. Engine's in perfect health. The 16 BIT ECU has clearly been very well mapped. Power is enough to easily break traction in 1st & 2nd gear in the dry and feels like around 370 bhp (On a cold day) No signs of boost creep, just good power throughout the rev range from around 2,000 rpm with no perceptable lag from the standard IHI turbos. The handling is excellent with a very progressive setup. Not too hard, just firm and accurate. Front brake discs feel as if they have minor warping. We can order a new original set of discs in Japan, although for a setup like this, we recommend a change to AP Racing brakes, as produced in the UK, or similar. A video clip is available of the instruments, engine sound and comments during the test drive.
Needless to say, this car comes with all the usual extras such as A/C, ABS, Passenger Airbag, Central Locking, PAS, P/W, etc.
Auction grade is 3, due to the amount of modifications on this car. Condition is excellent throughout. Interior has no faults to report aside from some nicks to the foam of the diagonal section of the roll bar. This has been a non-smoker's car since new. Exterior: The side skirts have some stone chip errosion and will need repainting. The bonnet has some touch up paint on one area. The passenger door mirror has a small scratch. The front bumper is missing a locating screw on the O/S corner. N/S corner has some very minor damage to the edge of the wing. The front bumper is unmarked. We will remove the bumper and send seperately to avoid damage in shipment. Paintwork & minor repairs will be repaired as part of preparation in the UK to present this car immaculately.
The previous owner of this example clearly loved his RX-7 and knew what he wanted. A setup that would allow easy driving in normal traffic conditions, yet give lots of power when he wanted it, without the expense of turbo lag. The car was set up to run as cool as possible, paying particular attention to the fueling and exhaust - in order to give excellent response at increased boost, yet have no problems of boost creep (When the wastegates cannot release exhaust gases quickly enough because the exhaust is too unrestrictive). He even knew which exhaust setup's the best in Japan for this!
Combined induction, fuel and exhaust modifications give excellent power yet retain reliability through maintaining the engine as cool as possible under all conditions. Handling has been set up to be progressive yet allows no understeer. Had we not already built our own similar car, this example would not now be on sale, but in our own garage, for personal use. Unfortunately for us, but fortunately for someone else - we can't have another RX-7 in Japan...so this will probably be one of the sexiest & best prepared RX-7 to soon be in the UK.
Including Newera's set fee, cost of minor paintwork, full UK conversions, de-restriction and recalibration of odometer to miles, road tax and new MOT this car is available for OTR price: £18,460.

1995 (Nov) RX-7 Type R Bathurst. 71,053km (44,159 genuine miles from new). 5 Speed.
RE-Amemiya Bodykit is a complete original - consisting of Facer I front bumper, GT rear spoiler, AD-R mirrors, AD side skirts and rear flares, rear light grille and AD vented bonnet. RE-Amemiya stickers add to the mean look of this car. Note that the number plate is mounted a bit to the n/s - rather than in the centre. Looks more purposeful that way.
Also fitted, are RE-Amemiya sleek light kit and 2 piece alloys fitted with near new Bridgestone Ponenza G III sports tyres. Suspension consists of coil-overs with adjustable ride height and damping - currently set for decent street handling without the expense of comfort. Mechanically, the car has been left near standard with only an RE-Amemiya cat-back stainless steel silencer. There are 2 original oil coolers fitted. Engine and ECU are completely as standard, so expect this car to be making approx. 270 bhp.
Interior is near standard. An RE-Amemiya steering column mounted boost gauge is fitted (Note the plastic housing has not been drilled and screwed into place). Seats are matching reclinable Recaros. Steering wheel is a Momo "Race" and the gearknob is by "Project Mu". A Quality Carrozzeria (Pioneer) hifi is fitted and there are uprated speakers, a MOS FET amplifier and a subwoofer in the boot. We have fitted a rear parcel shelf, in order to conceal the bass box - Boot release will also be disabled for the trip to the UK. Also fitted is a "Hornet" alarm (Not likely to be U.K. Cat 1 spec). Please note these audio & alarm items are included with the car free of charge!
There's a turbo timer's controller unit just below the hifi. This will need to be removed in UK, as Turbo timers are technically illegal and cars with such fitted cannot pass SVA.
Also, to the left of the hi-fi is the switch for the driving lights located just in front of each oil cooler. There's a 4 point "Sabelt" racing harness for the driver. This is purely for cosmetic purposes. This has not been a car used on the track.
Standard equipment includes: PAS, P/W, ABS, A/C, fitted mats, rear +2 seats, rear wiper, etc. The tool kit is original and unused - there is no optional spark plug tool fitted. The plastic sill trim still has the original plastic film on it from the factory.
This has been a light smoker's car - there are no cigarette burns as such nor any strong smell of tobacco, just that the ashtray has previously been used.
Auction grade is 3.5 (Auction sheet is available). Paintwork's in excellent condition overall. There are just some minor faults which need sorting as follows:
A small paint crack on the o/s door mirror, also some cracked and touched up paint on the boot lid, where the spoiler is fited into place. 3 pin dents on the n/s door, 3 on the n/s quarter, one on the o/s/f wing and one on the o/s quarter. Note there is also a very light scratch/dent on the leading edge of the o/s/f wing. As is usual on bodykits, there is some paint errision on each part. Note also the mesh on the front spoiler is loose and needs re-afixing into position. All minor, but each of these faults will be dealt with in the UK so the car can be presented in outstanding condition upon completion to our usual high standards.
As the car is mechanically standard, this is ideal for younger drivers who don't want to get clobbered by insurance because of mechanical modifications.
Bodykit parts are very high quality and fitted perfectly. All the fibreglass bodykit together cost over £3,300 new! Add another £2,300 + cost of tyres, then the Recaros, suspension and exhaust and you're looking at another £2,500 or so. Clearly the last owner went a little crazy when he visitted RE-Amemiya with his Rex!
Forget Veilside kits and such - This is without a doubt, one of the sweetest looking RX-7's we've ever been able to lay our hands upon. An extremely rare find!
Including full UK conversions, SVA test, de-restriction and recalibration of odometer to miles, UK registration, road tax & new MOT - OTR price: £11,460
A Deposit of £1,000 secures this car from prompt shipment. (Contact us for full pictures and details).

1992 (March) RX-7 Type R. Silver. 5 Speed Manual. Just 66,422 km (41,281 miles) from new.
This car has been thoughtfully improved for fast road use using Apexi parts: ECU is an Apexi FC complete with FC Commander. Boost is set at 0.80 Primary & 0.85 secondary. Induction kit is Apexi also, with oil impregnated mesh items, these give the best filtration in combination with good air-flow properties. The exhaust is also Apexi, from the catalyst, back. An HKS Super Sound Blow off valve is also fitted. Suspension has been uprated with Cusco Fully Adjustable Coilovers. Clutch is an uprated twin plate unit. Inside is a full bolt it roll cage. This is to add rigidity and presentation. Getting in and out of this car is much the same as std. Wheels are original Racing Beat 2 piece 17" items fitted with 235/40/ZR17 & 255/40/ZR17 sports tyres (Nearly new). A GReddy (Trust) boost gauge is also fitted. This has been temporarily removed and placed with the car's tool kit for safety in transit. Also there's a Razo alloy gearknob, which we have removed and hidden behind the passenger floormat for safe shipment. On the front, is an original Knight Sports Type 3 front bumper spoiler complete with integrated driving lights (4).
After carefully checking coolant, warming the car for a good hour, we took pictures, then whilst we had the opportunity, we test drove it. Clutch feels as if hardly worn. Bite is progressive for a multi-plate unit. Suspension is firmer than standard, although not excessively so. The car feels taught and rattle free. The engine is excellent and in strong health. Turbos pull well all the way from around 2,000 rpm to the red-line with only a small blip in power as usual, at 4,500 rpm, when the second turbo kicks in. Performance is strong. This car is making in the region of 330 bhp. Handling is excellent with very progressive oversteer if provoked.
Brakes are excellent, with no signs of warped discs. Clearly this car's not lived a hard life.
Standard Equipment includes: PAS, P/W, AC, 3 channel ABS, 4 piston front callipers (Std), Radio/Cassette, std. Sports steering wheel, original fitted mats, rear seats, front & rear strut braces, tinted rear window, rear wiper, twin oil coolers, etc. The interior is in excellent original condition, with unmarked optional Alcantara suede seats fitted at the front and the usual vinyl seats in the back. This has been a non smoker's car since new and the interior reflects careful care and no significant wear. Note that the original optional tool tray is fitted, as is the rear parcel shelf.
Unusual to find an original 1992 model in such well cared for condition. Even beneath the car, there's no oil drips, no signs of abuse or rust. It's in outstanding condition. Please note the following: Wheels have some cracking to the laquer, from age and a few very light scratches to the edges. Driver's door picket has matt black factory paint. This has some light scratches from use over the car's life. Note also that one of the driving lights is cracked - We will get a replacement direct from Knight Sports, with whom we have an excellent relationship - through lots of work they have done on our own RX-7.
The auction grade is 3.5. The leading edge of the bonnet has a touched in stone chip. The mirrors each have slightly faded paint. The front bumper has a small amount of cracking where it meet the wing on the O/S corner. Finally, there is a small chip on the edge of the driver's door. Really only miniscule faults on the paintwork. Each of the paintwork faults described are to be repaired as part of preparation, to present the car in top condition to our usual high standards.
From condition of the engine bay, interior, extetior, etc. it's easy to tell mileage and condition is absolutely original as is the car.
Total cost of all mechanical, electronic and other improvements are approx £6,000 worth on this car (If buying new - in Japan).
Pictures will speak for themselves of this car's condition throughout. An ideal entry level RX-7 with the main tuning requirements already sorted.
Including costs of paintwork as described, full UK conversions & de-restriction, odometer recalibration to miles, full UK registration, road tax and new MOT. OTR price: £8,565. A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for shipment to UK - please contact us for full details of this car, or to discuss ordering your particular preference of RX-7.

1992 (Feb) RX-7 Type R. Only 25,906km (16,100 miles) recorded
.
5 Speed Manual. PAS, P/W, AC, 3 channel ABS, 4 piston front callipers (Std), Sports steering wheel, oiginal fitted mats, front & rear strut braces, optional rear parcel shelf, twin oil coolers, etc. A Denon RDS Radio/CD unit with removable face is fitted, together with custom made speaker housings on doors. It's likely all speakers have been professionally upgraded - cost to do this sort of work is high.
18" Sienna alloys especially for RX-7's with Bridgestone Advan Neuva tyres are fitted. Type sizes are 235/40/ZR18 & 255/40/ZR18 front & rear respectively. Fitted is a slightly noisier than std. Stainless JASMA approved (Quiet) stainless steel silencer.
The interior is in excellent original condition, with unmarked optional Alcantara suede seats fitted. Interior can only be described as new. There are no faults whatsoever to report - not even scratching to the matt black painted plastics, nor any corrosion to the dial surrounds. Steering wheel, gearknob, back seat, indicator stalk, mats, etc. all look as new. It's clear this car has been garaged most of it's life and owned by a more mature driver from new.
The car is of auction grade 4. Unusual to find an original 1992 model graded as such. The last owner clearly loved this car and gave it regular attention without using the car to it's full potential...It's been preserved beautifully. Paintwork is all original and as shiny as the day it left the factory. Engine purrs as a good standard one should, just 600 rpm gives 2kg/cm oil pressure, with 8kg/cm pressure at 3,000 rpm (Warmed up). Truly excellent oil pressure (Pictures available) combined with an engine bay that looks as new further confirm the condition and mileage of this example.
Even the wheels have not even got a scratch to the edge. Brake callipers are standard and disc brakes have no wear, not even a lip on the edge - again confirming the mileage on the car is genuine. Essentially from condition of this car it's easy to tell this car is absolutely original. Tool kit is complete and unused, as is the lightweight spare.
Condition is superb - this is a concours condition showpiece - destined to win presentation events. The engine is in virtually new condition - for an entry level RX-7 3rd Gen, this is simply the best available. Pictures will speak for themselves. This is the best 1992 example we've ever seen and certainly the lowest mileage RX-7 we've supplied.
There is a pin dent on the O/S quarter and some minor stone chips on the bonnet (5-6) and 2 tiny ones on the passenger door. The rear spoiler has been upgraded with an after mkt. 2 piece item. There is some paint chipped on one edge of it. All tiny faults almost too little to be repaired. We'll have these put right in any case.
It's clear that this has been a well looked after example, judging by condition, engine response, idle, etc. It runs perfectly and aside from exhaust is of std. condition engine wise. This example is an ideal entry level RX-7, especially for younger drivers where mechanical condition needs to be near std as possible - to obtain low insurance. If you want the best trouble free RX-7 a low budget can buy - you're looking at it! It's so good it warrants a space in someone's living room.
Total cost of these wheels, tyres & exhaust. £3,000 worth.
Including cost of road tax and new MOT. OTR price: £8,970 A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for shipment to UK.
Please contact us for full details of this car, or to discuss ordering your particular preference of RX-7's.

1995 (Feb) RX-7 13B REW 1,310cc. Twin-Turbo Type R.
5 Speed Manual. 62,618km (38,917 miles) from new. R Specification includes: Special sports suspension, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, standard front & rear strut braces, fitted mats (Mazda), 2+2 lightweight seats, Power Steering, Electric Mirrors, Air Conditioning, Central Locking, ABS. This car also comes with an NTSC TV system + a remote controlled CD/Mobile MD recorder/Radio player with digital equaliser - free of charge. Please note: TV won't work in the UK without conversion. A set of 17" Mazdaspeed alloys are fitted, complete with knock-off centre caps. Tyres are Dunlop Formula with 235/40/ZR17's on the front, 255/45/ZR17's on the rear. Mazda's recommended size for 17" alloys on these. A set of ABS Plastic (Soft & not prone to stone chipping) OEM Optional side skirts are also fitted.
The car is of auction grade 4 = Excellent condition throughout, of course.
The interior is mint, with no faults to report. Note that the TV mount is only stuck to the dashboard with double sided tape, so it'll come off if required. A "Personal" brand Steering wheel is fitted to replace the standard item. Also, a large bore rear exhaust section is fitted. This comprises all the modifications to the car. Engine is completely standard, making a healthy 270 bhp or so - when combined with an exhaust back section such as this one.
The car has stickers to prove oil changes have been done every 3,000 - 4,000 km, just as Mazda recommends.
The exterior is also in excellent condition. Paint looks very original and high quality, with none of the usual fading of paint found on these.. Only the following scratches to paintwork could be found: There are some scratches to the bumper edges. There is a key scratch on the driver's door. Also, there is a blemish to the passenger door, around the size of a 2 pence piece. Looks like something caused by an acidic bird dropping!
These minor faults are to be put right as part of final preparation in the UK. We simply mention them to give as accurate a description as possible.
The last owner clearly loved this car and took a lot of care of it. It's been left in near standard condition, aside from the Audio, wheels & exhaust. Noticed the brake discs show nearly no wear......Always a great sign. Another Purrfect RX-7 - Hand picked by ourselves.

1994 (July) RX-7 Veilside Type R 3rd Generation model.
Black. 5 Speed Manual. Just 59,635km (37,063 miles) from new. Usual RX-7 Spec includes: 2+2 seating with Alcantara Suede & Velour front seats, Air Conditioning, ABS, 4 Piston front callipers, fully independent suspension will double alloy wishbones, firm but supple suspension - 20-30mm lowered springs, Power Steering, Power Windows, Remote Controlled Door Mirrors, Central Locking, standard rear strut brace, twin oil coolers. Fitted mats are also included...all the standard spec.
Improvements: Veilside front nosecone, complete with recessed sidelights & indicators. It has a larger opening at the front than standard, which helps improve air flow to the radiator, intercooler and air inlet. Rear Spoiler is also a Veilside item, which cleverly mounts onto all the original holes..
The Intercooler is approx 3 times the standard size and made by TRUST/G Reddy.. The Air filter is a dual element type made by Apexi. A Blits blow-off valve is fitted. Engine bay is complimented by a Cusco alloy strut brace. The ECU is a standard item, which has been re-chipped & had a Fuel Cut Defencer added. Wheels are Advan Racing 6 spoke 18" with anodised rims. Tyres are good quality Michelin, 255's on the back, 235's on the front. Exhaust silencer is a dual exit after mkt. unit, though the original catalyst & front pipe have been retained. Note that rear baffles are removable for a richer sound, if desired.
This mechanical spec should see this RX-7 make around 300 bhp. The engine has good oil pressure and sounds very healthy, reving quickly - which means it's got good throttle response. Clutch wear and brake wear are low. Interior is in excellent condition. This has been a non smoker's car from new.
All signs show it's been meticulously maintained.
The car is of auction grade 4, which is a high grade for a car of this age. There are minor scratches to the anodised coating of two of the wheel rims, but this is very light indeed.
It's in stunning condition. The following faults which will be put right by our agent Motormall, in the UK as part of the total OTR price: Front bumper has got some stone chips. There are 3 small pin dents on each rear quarter (Picture available) & there is a stone chip on the passenger door. - Though these faults are mentioned, they'll be fully & invisibly repaired by Motormall our UK agent, whilst the car's being completed in the UK. Original rear Spoiler is inside the car.
The modifications mentioned have been mostly cosmetic with the first stage in tuning done, to release around 40 bhp over standard. Total cost of bodywork, wheels, exhaust and inlet modifications are around £5,000 worth.- OTR price £10,530 pounds. This also includes cost of road tax and new MOT. A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for shipment to UK. Please contact us for full details of this car, or to discuss ordering your particular preference of RX-7's. 1994 (April) RX-7 Type R2.
Silver. 2 Seater Lightweight model. Only 34,833km (21,648 miles after recalibration) from new. Usual spec includes: PAS, Updated instrument rings (Black instead of chrome) & harder wearing dashboard plastics, as introduced in 1994. A/C, ABS, Central locking, electrically adjustable mirrors, fitted mats. The car is fitted with near new Mazdaspeed MS.02 alloy wheels, which have 245/45/ZR17 rear tyres & 225/45/ZR17 fronts - all tyres in near new condition. We checked the wheel rims carefully and there's not a scratch or chip to be found. They're as new.
These wheels were specially designed by Mazdaspeed to go with RX-7's. As such, they're without any doubt fully compatible with RX-7's.
The mechanical specification of the car is completely standard. Inside, there's an improved Momo steering wheel and an after mkt. Hifi with CD/Cassette/Radio.
The car is of auction grade 4, which is the highest grade available for a car of this age. There's virtually nothing amis to report, it's been impecably looked after. The Interior is like new. Tool kit & spare wheel are unused. This has been a non smoker's car from the day it was registered and it shows & smells like it. We noticed the front lip spoiler has been painted to match the front bumper. Note there are only VERY small scratches to the underside of this spoiler on the front and one small solitary stone chip we could find on the driver's-side front wing, by the vent. These faults are miniscule. We noticed there's a missing rear parcel shelf, so a new one will be ordered as part of the OTR total cost.
There are some black marks visible on the pictures of the front bumper, but these are simply soot from the exhaust of the car which was parked in front of this one at the auction. Front bumper is a different shade to the rest of the paintwork presumably because of the plasticiser in the paint to make it flexible. Also light in the evenings tends to highlight these slight shade differences. We'll ask Motormall to have their paint specialists try to get a better match to make this car absolutely perfect.
This car arrives mid November and will be promptly prepared.....For the doubters - the car's able to be viewed - but hurry, as low mileage as new RX-7's like this never hang around for long and are hard to source for sensible money. 1999 (Month TBA) RX-7 Type RS. 57,586km (35,789 miles) from new. 5 Speed manual.
Facelift model with updated front & rear spoilers, in addition to other improvements. Standard Equipment includes: 2+2 seating, with alcantara suede front seats. ABS, Nardi steering wheel with SRS airbag, Passenger SRS airbag, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Central Locking, Electric Mirrors, Fitted Mats, Optional rear parcel shelf & alloy sill plates.
1999 RS Spec in this case also includes: Updated dashboard instruments, including a boost gauge (Not fitted to previous models). Bilstein factory fitted suspension. Driving lights mounted just ahead of large oil coolers. Also included are a nearly new set of "V's Work" alloys - which suit the car stunningly well. They're shod with Bridgestone Potenza RE-07's. 235/40.ZR17's on the front, 255/40/ZR17's rear. Original 17" Mazda alloys without tyres are also included free of charge. A Mazdaspeed (Dealer option) rear exhaust section is also fitted.
We prefer to describe each car with all present faults, so people have an informed & accurate description. Although mentioned, where detailed - all faults will be taken care of:
The car is of auction grade 4. There is a small scratch on the rear bumper. There are 2 small pin dents on the passehger door. These will be repainted perfectly in the UK before completion. Also, there is a small pin dent on the roof. We recommend leaving this - as it's very small and not noticable. Repair would require blending into the rear quarters - a lot of work for a very small fault! If need be - this pin dent can also be repaired by a mobile dent repair specialist. Don't be put off by dust on the car in the pics. Although not washed, it's near immaculate.
The interior is in perfect condition aside from a drink's stain on the driver's seat. Rather than risk this not coming off when valetting - we have already ordered an immaculate used seat from another (20,000km) RX-7, which will be fitted to make the interior immaculate. This is a non smoker's car since new.
Note that the hifi has been removed by the previous keeper. As such, this car will be supplied without one, though our agent in UK offers UK units & fitting. The driver's door cubby hole has a common problem. The lid is broken. Also, some of the tool kit is not complete. These small faults are also to be put right as part of the OTR price.
We test drove this car and were reminded of how good these RS model RX-7's are as standard. Healthy performance, excellent acceleration from 280 bhp (Std on this model), combined with easily exploitable handling. No squeaks, no rattles. Perfect driving order, in fact.
We are often asked to quote on these, but usually they're close to 20,000 pounds for a slightly lower mileage example. We got this one for a good price, so can pass it on in this case. NOT easily repeatable at this price.
Inclusive of: Parts & fitting as described, minor paintwork, full SVA conversions, SVA test, MOT, Road Tax, Registration and a full valet just before collection. - Total OTR £16,630.

1996 (March) RX-7 13B REW 1310cc (Twin Turbo).
Type RS model. 5 Speed Manual. Genuine 72,492 km (45,054 miles) from new.
Usual 4th revision RX-7 RS Spec includes: Air Conditioning, 16 BIT ECU, Large RS Spec front brakes with 4 Piston front callipers, ABS, fully independent suspension - double alloy wishbones, Power Steering, Power Windows, Remote Controlled Door Mirrors, Central Locking. Unmarked Alcantara suede seats, rear seats & seatbelts, fitted mats, rear wiper...all the standard RS Spec, of course.
Improvements are comprehensive:
ARC intercooler, HKS RS Alloy induction kit, Apexi PFC ECU & FC controller combined with an Apexi rear silencer combine to make an excellent initial setup for UK use. Apexi PFC is the most sought after ECU by RX-7 enthusiasts in the UK. A Blitz (Latest model) Alloy Dump valve is fitted. These upgrades safely take the car to around 330bhp.
There are other additional extras:
An engine stabaliser (To help control drivetrain flex), An earthing kit (To help maximise spark plug efficiency). Inside, are 3 centrally mounted gauges showing oil temp, oil pressure and water temp, with a GReddy boost gauge mounted to the left of the speedo & instruments. A Blitz "Power Meter" is also fitted (Can measure bhp, etc), together with a GReddy turbo timer (Timer won't work in the UK with a Cat 1 alarm, however). Handbrake has a quick release mechanism. Steering wheel is a MOMO suede item. Hifi is Kenwood CD/Cassette, complete with remote control. There's also one last neat trick: An exhaust restrictor valve....Want an RX-7 where you can adjust the noise levels of exhaust? Quiet - Loud from the adjustment of valve by cable, makes this possible. Especially useful for track days, sneaking up on people, etc.
Pictures simply can't do this car justice....It's in immaculate condition throughout. There's absolutely no bodywork faults to report (Auction grade 4). Simply gorgeous condition. Interior is also in excellent condition, with no cigarette burns (Non Smoker's car from new), no damage at all.
17" Original Lightweight alloys are fitted with near new tyres. These alloys are only fitted to RS models, to house the larger than usual front brakes. Centre caps were missing at time of taking the pictures, but have now been replaced. Equipped with TEIN fully adjustable suspension for ride height, Bump & rebound. The setup improves roadholding & handling without major effects to ride comfort - Making this a very well balanced and progressive handling car. Having test driven this car - we know it goes beautifully, just like a good one is meant to. 2nd turbo from 4,500 RPM is around 350 bhp's worth of (A whole lot of) fun & drivability.
White is one of the most attractive colours for RX-7's, as this colour reflects light well to show off the beautiful curves of this car - Many Japanese RX-7 show cars are white for this reason (Knight Sports, for example). Also a good colour to add a carbon fibre bonnet to, or carbon skirts, etc.
A Mazdaspeed front nose (Original, not a cheap copy!) complete with 1999 look indicators is fitted together with original option (ABS Plastic) side skirts and rear mudflares. Mirrors are by Ganador, Also fitted is a colour coded adjustable alloy GT rear wing of high quality. A tiny but sleek set of PIAA driving lights complement the front end.
The cost of body improvements, ECU, intercooler, suspension, exhaust, gauges, wing, etc, etc, etc is around 6,500 GBP total equivalent, means the previous owner didn't skimp on making this RX-7 something truly special. He most certainly loved his car. It sounds sweet as can be, engine makes a beautiful rasp when revved and is in excellent health. High oil pressure and excellent power throughout the rev range further confirm this car's in rude health. A seriously quick example.
Mods are some of the best available in Japan for use in UK. This is one of those rare examples where each component is of very high quality, well thought out and as a complete package - makes for an awesome example of what an RX-7 should be.
A rare chance to have a highly sought after but usually unavailable specification of RX-7.
Including all conversions & preparation, cost of road tax and new MOT. OTR price: £13,485
A deposit of £1,000 secures this car. Due for arrival to the UK in October, this car will be ready to drive away from 2nd week of Nov.
We have our own well modified RX-7 and are very enthusiastic about these, as we truly understand them. Newera Imports are the only importer consistently recommended by UK clubs for supplying only the best 7's. |

1992 (Dec) RX-7 Type R - RE Amemiya '97 GT wide kit. 90,852km (56,464 miles). 5 Speed Manual. Black.
Same bodykit as originally fitted to RE Amemiya GT-C racecars comprising: Fibreglass rear quarter panels, complete front wings, skirts, Ad Facer nosecone. Adjustable GT wing is also original RE-A, as are the sleek headlamp kit rear light grille and AD Type 2 mirrors. Bonnet is by Fujita Engineering (FEED).
This is the first and only RX-7 we have ever been able to source with this kit and will be the only one of it's type in the UK.
Interior is also improved, complete with full RE-Amemiya white faced instruments, Steering column mounted boost gauge, Genuine Carbon fibre Dashboard Trim panels, including instrument cowl & driver's door trim. Driver's seat is by Recaro. A Matching used original alcantara suede driver's seat may be available if required (Cost is approx £200). In the back, there's a 4-point roll cage to increase stiffness and give a more purposeful look to the gawpers! A Carrozzeria Double DIN hifi unit with CD/MD/Radio is included free of charge.
The engine has also been stage 1 tuned by RE-Amemiya with a Redom ECU to increase fueling and allow use of less restrictive induction kit and exhaust, as well as up to 0.9 Bar of boost. This car is producing approx. 345 bhp. Fitted is an RE-A uprated intercooler & RE-A exhaust rear section. The Air Pump has noisy bearings and the electrical plug for the magnetic clutch has been disconnected. Air Pump bearing failure is common on older RX-7's and isn't detrimental to performance (If anything it allows the car to produce more power more efficiently at the expense of emissions). With the induction kit fitted, if connected - an air pump would make strange sounds as it came on, which is primarily why these are often disconnected on RX-7's.
This car was driven 50km to our yard - no problems to report. The engine is in fine health with high oil pressure, healthy turbos and perfect starting every time. It's producing an excellent spread of power - still healthy and with plenty of life to give. In any case, an engine warranty will be supplied with this car, covering rotor tips and water seals.
Suspension is original with lowered springs. Wheels are OZ Racing 2 piece items with Dunlop Sports Tyres - 245/40/ZR17's on the front & 275/40/ZR17's rear. Wear to the tyres is around 50% from new. Each wheel's track is widened by approx 2 inches over standard, in order to correctly fill the arches.
Auction grade is 3 due to bodywork modifications (Copy of auction sheet is available). Of course it shows front wings, bonnet and rear quarters as having been replaced. Bonnet has got an area where it was manufactured too thin and a crack has developed, so this needs repair. Also, the front bumper is stone chipped. Where the rear quarters join the roof pilar, there are marks in the paintwork. There is a tiny pin dent on the driver's door. Rear hatch has been paint blended and marks show this. Finally, there are scratches to the front N/S arch and to the N/S skirt.
All of these faults are to be repaired as part of the OTR cost and a set of RZ or large Knight Sports rotary stickers supplied. These will help to blend the join area of the rear quarters to the roof pilars. Note that as the rear quarters are rivetted onto the shut area of the hatch, the gap is not as wide as standard in this area. The original wheel arch liners are fitted although they're not as wide as the new wings. Overall, the fit of the bodykit isn't ever going to be as perfect as metal from the factory, although this kit's amongst the best and most expensive that has ever been available in Japan.
The bodykit alone will have cost the previous owner around £3,000 excluding fitting and paintwork. Wheels, modifications, interior upgrades, etc. will have added a further £4,000. This will be the only RX-7 with a wide bodykit in the UK, at least until Gren Butcher's 4 rotor RX-7 arrives from Australia. A showstopper and a car to be seen in!
Inclusive of: Quality paintwork repairs as described, full UK conversions, MOT, Road Tax, 12 Month's warranty, Registration and a full valet just before collection. Total OTR: £9,680.
A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for shipment. (Contact us for full details & information).

Brand New - RX-7 Spirit R - RZ. Grey Met. Zero km. 5 Speed Manual.
Brand New - RX-7 Spirit R - RZ. Grey Met. Zero km. 5 Speed Manual.
We sometimes get asked what the availability of used ones of these are - virtually nil, sadly - with so few made, they're very covetted by Japanese RX-7 enthusiasts, so it's unlikely very many will go onto the Japanese used car mkt. over time.
We have tracked down this car - one of 3-4 remaining unsold in Japan, as shown. This one is No. 840 of 1,500 Spirit R's made in Hiroshima, and is the top spec, being an RZ model - complete with a plaque signed by Takao Kijima - the Program manager for RX-7's until end of production in Aug 2002.
Equipment includes: Standard 280 bhp engine, White Faced Dials, Dual SRS Airbags, Sports Steering Wheel (Note the red stitching), Red RZ Spec. Recaro Seats, PAS, P/W, A/C, ABS, Remote controlled Mirrors, Central Locking, Spirit R Alloys, Cross drilled Discs with red callipers. Note that no rear parcel shelf or fitted mats are included as standard.
We are able to buy this car direct from the dealer and add our usual fee of just 900 pounds to all costs to import this car.
A Deposit is required before the car can be purchased on behalf of the client.
These cars cost £23,700 each - new in Japan. A rare opportunity to source one of the very last RX-7 3rd Gen's ever made - in Brand New condition (Choice of other colours may be available).
What else with exclusivity and style like this can you buy for the price?
OTR Price: £35,905. Contact us for full details. Serious inquiries only, please.
A deposit is required before the car can be purchased. Hurry though - once these last ones are sold, they're gone for good as new cars. See all pictures on: http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/(...). |

1996 (Feb) RX-7 Type R Bathurst. 5 Speed. 63,886km (39,705km) from new.
Usual PAS, P/S, P/W, A/C, ABS, etc. but that's not what this car is all about. To us after careful inspection and a test drive we know it's been carefully researched and built with the best components available, to make a superb track / Fast Road car.
Performance improvements include: Ohlins Suspension, Braided Barke hoses and uprated sports pads, GReddy 25G Turbo, Remote Race Style Dump Valve with direct exhaust, RE Amemiya Double Capacity Radiator, Braided Radiator hoses, Trust Intercooler (Around 5 inches thick), Hyper Sports 4-Beat ROM ECU by Knight Sports, Uprated Injectors, Blitz Dual Solenoid Boost Controller. Exhaust is lightweight, with only a rear silencer and removable baffle (Made by Kakimoto Racing). Catalyst has been replaced with a Metalit High flow unit. Clutch feels like a paddle clutch. Clearly, it wouldn't be a standard clutch with this spec. Differential is also uprated, with more "lock", probably a Cusco unit - which affords more control for drifting. Interior has been uprated for performance also - with a half roll cage in the back, a "Bride" (Pronounced "Breed, in Japanese) Race Driving seat, GReddy A-Pilar mounted Oil Temp, Oil Pressure gauges, with Water Temp gauges, as well as a large Boost gauge in clear view, attached to the dashboard. A 4 point harness is also fitted for the driver. Steering wheel is a Momo item, also with this car is the original Momo steering wheel. This and a high quality Double DIN hifi are supplied free of charge with the car.
Where the roll bar is attached to the rear strut towers, the interior palstics have been removed, as have the catches to hold the rear seat upright section in place. Rear seat has also been removed. We have ordered a replacement, purely as a cosmetic improvement - to be left loose inside the car. A replacement driver's seat to match the passenger's is also to be included with the car. Mazda Emblem is missing from the rear of the car and the efini badge is broken, so we will get replacements for these also.
Note that this is a 4th revision model, so it's fitted with an improved 16 BIT ECU, compared to previous 8 BIT units. Also, as it's not a later model, it's not weighed down by un-necessary airbags. White is also the best choice for bodykitted fast cars, as it hides stone chips well, which will be inevitable, with a car like this, if driven as it's meant to....It would be rude not to use it fully, frankly!
A full genuine Veilside Version 2 bodykit is fitted, complete with rear valence sections and rear spoiler - front nosecone is well attached, with none of the usual wobble found on lesser built cars. Wheels are Volks TE37 Anthracite lightweight 17" items, complete with 4 good tyres. Bonnet is also of carbon fibre, making an excellent contrast against the white colour. Could use some carbon look door handles and front wing vents by auto Exe.....Note that A/C has been retained, despite the modifications, although fitting the RE-A radiator meant cutting away part of the front support, although not seriously so. No air filter is fitted currently, although there are 2-3 layers of fine gauze clamped to the inlet. Although no damage has been done to the engine, ideally, an air filter with direct cold air feed from the bonnet vents / or other route would be an ideal modification.
We can tell from the way the car drives and sounds, this engine has also been ported (rebuilt). Judging by newness of components in the engine bay, the improvements have been done in the last 2 years, so it hasn't done much mileage since the improvements were carried out, perhaps 5,000 - 10,000 miles only. The excellent package made from this choice of components is evident especially when tested. Engine pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm relentlessly - all the way to the red line, with no tail off in power. Knight Sports ECU's offer excellent mapping, probably the very best available in Japan.
Auction grade is 1, which means highly modified and therefore ungraded, although it's worth noting it's not an R1 grade which would mean modified, but also that the car had been involved in an accident previously.....Grade 1 is is simply a non-accident, very modified car.
There is the following minor bodywork damage, which will be repaired as part of total OTR costs: There is a small crack of paint, just at the point where the the top of front spoiler attaches to the N/S/F wing. There is a small pin dent on the driver's door, on the N/S/F wing and on the N/S/R wheel arch. The N/S/R bodykit molding piece mounted just behind the N/S/R wheel has been crushed and broken, it appears as if it drove over a curb and bottomed out the rear of the car. Most of the piece is intact so this is repairable. Wheels are in excellent original condition, with no kerbing scratches, etc.
Videos of the test drive of this car are also available (Serious inquiries only, please), to demonstrate the in-car performance and drivability of this example.....But we don't expect it'll be in stock very long, once enthusiasts find out it exists, so the videos aren't likely to be needed for long!
Do we like this car?
Hell Yes!!
It's so good we are strongly tempted to keep it for ourselves, but unfortunately we've already invested heavily in our own rex, which we wouldn't part with for anything else! Another rex would just be too much for us, no space, no time to play with yet another 7....Besides, our existing rex would become very jealous - so we want this car to go to a good home in the UK instead.
Building a car like this from scratch would probably cost in the order of £17,000 in Japan, probably double that in the UK. - Someone's spent ages researching and getting it just right, with no expense spared.
Including SVA test (Not easy on this car), Full conversions, paintwork as described, MOT, registration and valetting, this car is available for just £13,985 OTR.
It's not a crime to sell it for this low a price, but it should be! Very serious performance, and neck snapping looks available - A deposit of £1,500 secures for prompt shipment. (Contact us for full pictures & details.

1993 (July) RX-7 twin-turbo.
Type R model. 5 Speed Manual. Just 65,062 km (40,436 miles) from new. PAS, P/W, AC, 3 channel ABS, 4 piston front callipers (Std), CD/Radio/Cassette, std. Sports steering wheel, fitted mats, rear seats, front & rear strut braces, tinted rear window, rear wiper, twin oil coolers, etc.
17" Lightweight alloys with correct off-set, etc - All 4 tyres are good. This example also includes Mazda original ABS plastic wheel arch stone chip guards. Fitted is a slightly noisier than std. Stainless JASMA approved (Quiet) stainless steel silencer. Also, there's two Blitz SUS air filters - made of mesh - the best in terms of filtration properties. Fitted is a Border RE Aero Series nosecone (Border are some of the top RX-7 tuning specialists in Japan)complete with driving lights. Rear spoiler is by a company called Westin. All combine to make a unique looking street racer styled RX-7. Suspension springs have been changed for uprated items. We feel that perhaps the front is too low now, but in any case, a full set of original springs are included with the car to bring it back to standard spec if necessary, or even swap the rear springs for the front items and fit standard ones on the rear. We leave this up to the customer to decide and impliment as desired. The interior is in excellent original condition, with unmarked optional Alcantara suede seats fitted. This has been a non smoker's car since new and the interior reflects careful care and no wear.
The car is of auction grade 4. Unusual to find an original 1993 model graded as such. On the N/S sill there is a scratch. On the Passenger-side quarterpanel there is one small pin dent and on the othwe side, there's a light scratch. Front spoiler has been cracked before and the repair is very visible. Also has minor scratches here. There are also two small pin dents on the driver's door. Rear spoiler isn't perfectly painted, the end pieces could do with respraying to get a good finish.
All of the minor faults described are to be repaired as part of preparation, to present the car in top condition to our usual high standards. We will also supply a pair of RZ stickers and a set of new style "Flyin Mazda" self-adhesive badges, to finish it off perfectly.
From condition of the engine bay, interior, expetior, etc. it's easy to tell mileage is absolutely original as is the car. Tool kit is also complete and unused, as is the lightweight spare.
The engine is in virtually new condition - for an entry level RX-7 3rd Gen, this is simply the best available. It's clear that this has been a well looked after example, judging by condition, engine response, idle, etc. It runs perfectly and aside from exhaust and air box, is of std. condition engine wise. Pictures will speak for themselves. This example is an ideal entry level RX-7, especially for younger drivers where mechanical condition needs to be near std as possible - to obtain low insurance. If you want an excellent example, to give trouble free RX-7 a low budget can buy - you're looking at it!
Total cost of these wheels, tyres, bodywork improvements & exhaust are approx £3,000 worth.
Including costs of paintwork as described, full UK conversions & de-restriction, odometer recalibration to miles, full UK registration, road tax and new MOT. OTR price: £8,950

1992 (Nov) RX-7 twin-turbo.
Type R model. 5 Speed Manual. Just 59,878 km (37,214 miles) from new. PAS, P/W, AC, 3 channel ABS, 4 piston front callipers (Std), Radio/Cassette, std. Sports steering wheel, optional driver's leg cushions (For cornering comfort), fitted mats, front & rear strut braces, optional rear parcel shelf, twin oil coolers, etc.
17" WORK Lightweight alloys with correct off-set, etc - All 4 tyres are good. This example also includes Mazda original ABS plastic side skirts. Fitted is a slightly noisier than std. Stainless JASMA approved (Quiet) stainless steel silencer. Also, there's an ARC Dual element airbox (2nd element is located at the bottom of the box). Elements have recently been renewed.
The interior is in excellent original condition, with unmarked optional Alcantara suede seats fitted. This has been a non smoker's car since new and the interior reflects careful care and no wear.
The car is of auction grade 4. Unusual to find an original 1992 model graded as such. The last owner clearly loved this car and gave it regular attention without using the car to it's full potential...It's been preserved beautifully. Paintwork is a shiny as the day it left the factory. Engine purrs as a near standard one should, with excellent oil pressure. Even the wheels have not even got a scratch to the edge. Brake callipers although standard, have been carefully repainted in metallic blue, painstakingly so as to leave the Mazda emgraving as bare alloy - presumably to show off the light weight of the original callipers. Interior is also in excellent condition, bearing in mind the earlier models are more prone to easy scratching. There are some minor scratches (pictures available) - but from condition of this car it's easy to tell mileage is absolutely original as is the car. Tool kit is complete and unused, as is the lightweight spare.
Condition is superb - this is virtually a concours condition showpiece. The engine is in virtually new condition - for an entry level RX-7 3rd Gen, this is simply the best available. Pictures will speak for themselves.
The front spoiler has been painted and there is a stone chip on it. Also, there is a small scratch on the passenger's side skirt and 2 monir stone chips on the bonnet. These are to be repaired as part of preparation, to present the car in top condition to our usual standards.
It's clear that this has been a well looked after example, judging by condition, engine response, idle, etc. It runs perfectly and aside from exhaust and air box, is of std. condition engine wise. 1992 (June) RX-7 Twin Turbo. Type R. 5 Speed Manual. 69,906 km (43,447 miles) from new.
17" P1 Racing (RAYS) Lightweight Alloys with correct off-set are fitted, complete with tyres in good condition. Tyre sizes are: 235/40/ZR17 & 255/40/ZR17. Wheels like this are VERY rare and desirable on RX-7's. Sanai-D original front bumper ( www.sanai-d.com ), Original Option Polyeurethane side skirts and rear mudflaps are fitted. An all alloy adjustable GT wing is fitted in place of the original. If preferred, we have a 1996 original rear wing in stock, which could replace the GT wing fitted for a small additional cost.
Performance improvements include: Blitz uprated rear exhaust section to allow better breathing, A Knight Sports 4-Beat ECU (Same unit as on our own car), Airinx (Trust) Induction kit (Standard Dump Valves will be audiable through this filter), EBS Type 2 boost controller and HKS injection pulse monitor. These are mounted neatly in the glovebox in combination with a second small HKS boost gauge. Intercooler pipes are by Greddy/Trust - and are the highest quality kit available for standard mount position intercooler, on an RX-7. These are necessary to run increased boost, as standard pipes will expand and pop off otherwise.
Test drive reveals the engine on this car is in fine fettle. Oil pressure is high, healthy turbos and excellent oil pressure all confirm a healthy engine. This car runs just as an RX-7 is meant to, with an added rasp of sound from the exhaust & induction kit to allow enjoyment of this car to the fullest. RX-7's are always an event to drive whether down to the shops or long distance - No jap import is more fun than an FD, in our humble opinion.
Standard equipment includes: PAS, P/W, AC, ABS, 4 piston front callipers (Std), Alcantara suede seats, fitted mats, front strut brace, twin oil coolers, etc. A Hi-Fi with CD cassette is fitted and supplied free of charge. Also included is a MOMO Sports steering wheel and original RE-Amemiya steering column mounted boost gauge. In the back is a 4-point roll cage, occupying only the useless rear seat space. This adds torsional rigidity to the body and offers greater safety for trackdays in the UK.
This car has been owned by a non smoker. Interior is in excellent original condition. The cigar lighter is missing. There are minor scratches to the alloy sill plates. Despite the age of this car, interior trim is still well preserved - with very few scratches to the matt black plastic - further confirming low mileage and quality of car this car's had.
Please note - The Air Pump has the electrical plug for the magnetic clutch disconnected. When testing, the magnetic clutch was found not to work. This is common on older RX-7's and isn't detrimental to performance (If anything it allows the car to produce more power more efficiently at the expense of emissions). With the induction kit fitted, if operational - an air pump would make strange sounds as it came on, which is primarily why these are often disconnected on RX-7's.
The auction grade is 3 due to non original parts fitted & age of the car. There is a very small pin dent on the driver's door, two light pin dents on the passenger door and also one on the O/S quarter. On the boot lid, the original holes were not well repaired and are beginning to show through, so these will need to be redone. There is a small paint blemish on the bonnet. Also, each side has previously been repainted and although quality of paint is excellent, the blend on the O/S roof pilar and N/S roof section are poor. We will respray the roof to blend the paint in properly. As with all our cars, this one will be presented in truly immaculate condition on completion.
The exterior and interior condition of this car will speak for themselves with full photographs available. Clearly this has been a well loved RX-7. Of course, it goes without saying - a car of such low mileage and condition is a gem amongst RX-7 imports. Total cost of wheels, bumper, spoiler, exhaust, and inlet modifications are around £4,000 worth in Japan.
OTR price just £8,365. This also includes cost of road tax and new MOT.
A deposit of £1,000 secures this car for prompt shipment (Please contact us for full details & pictures).
We have our own, know about them and are consistently recommended for supplying only the best 7's. Our many delighted customers for RX-7's are probably the best testimonial of all.

Just introduced - These are under strong demand in Japan with a waiting list of 6 months. Japanese magazines describe this car as excellent, with lightweight handling, excellent road manners and a torquey and responsive engine with plenty of get up & go in the higher rev range. Currently fighting against the updated S2000 in Japan for top spot in sports car sales for Japan 2002, it is also being modified by the likes of Top Secret, Nismo, etc. Evidently a car with a lot of potential, coupled with unmistakable looks that make everyone want to take a look. The Z with the intended spirit of the original 240Z has been reborn.
This car is of course in brand new condition. Be the first to own one in the UK at a lower price than it'll cost when it eventually arrives in the UK.
OTR inclusive of full SVA conversions, Road Tax, registration. To be registered as a brand new car on arrival to UK.
Unbeatable at: £27,780 OTR. Contact us to discuss this car, or an alternative brand new spec Fairlady 350Z. |
