2000 (Feb) Impreza WRX Type R Sti Version 6
V-Limited. No 369 of 1,000.

This is a rare opportunity to get one of the last Type R Imprezas made. Sti 6 includes a slightly different rear spoiler to standard, with a revised from lip spoiler.
Sti 6 V-Limited (Type R) Spec also includes: Blueprinted Sti engine with "at least" 280 bhp, close ratio gearbox with adjustable bias centre differential, Quick Steering rack by Sti (Standard on these), Sti signature 4 piston brake callipers, Special Sti Interior with blue 555 front seats, rally style roof vent, Momo Steering wheel with SRS airbag, fitted mats. This car has been treated to a set Advan Racing 17" lightweight alloys, a large bore sports exhaust & a set of adjustable Sti shock absorbers & Springs.

A set of standard shock absorbers and standard STI full exhaust system is inside and included free of charge with this car.

Mileage is: 55,450km (= 34,462 miles from new), Usual spec of P/S, P/W, A/W, Climate Control A/C, Power Mirrors, central locking, etc.

The car has evidently lived a pampered life from new. Both interior and exterior are in immaculate condition, with no faults whatsoever to report. The absence of stone chips and lack or damage from fast road use to intercooler (Rain or Debris flying in at over 100 mph usually flattens the fins slightly) serves to confirm, further compounded by the relatively low amount of wear to brake discs relative to the mileage.

A rare opportunity to aquire one of the very last Impreza Type R's made in Japan. An Impreza for the connoisseur:

1997 (November) Impreza WRX Sti Version 3 V-Ltd (One of 1,000 made with signature plaque to commemorate) .
555 Blue, 83,358km (51,807 miles) from new. 5 Speed Manual, Power Steering, Power Windows,, AC, Hi-Fi, Optional turbo Gauge and STI 260 km/h speedometer. Being V-Limited STI model, a rally style roof vent is fitted. The rear windows are all black tinted. Interior is in excellent condition with no faults to report.

The car also has all the usual Sti Version 3 Spec, which includes 4 piston front calipers, Sti Blueprinted engine with 8,000 rpm rev limit (Normal WRX's are 7,000) packing 280+ bhp, Sti uprated suspension, Gold Signature alloys, Sti Interior, Sti carbon fibre front strut brace, uprated intercooler, Sti Exhaust.

Auction grade is 4. There are scratches on both bumpers and very light scratches to both the passenger doors. As on all Imprezas (Due to usual very thin sheet metal on panels) there is 1-2 small pin-dents on each of the doors. These faults are all very small and hard to show even with photos - They will be repaired as part of the OTR price and mentioned here for the sake of being complete. 1995 (November) Impreza WRX Sti Version 2 V-Ltd (One of 1,000).
555 Blue, 79,325km (49,300 miles) from new. 5 Speed Manual, Power Steering, Power Windows, electric mirrors with retract model, central locking, AC, Hi-Fi, fitted mats, rear wiper. The rear windows are all black tinted. Interior is in excellent condition with absolutely no faults to report.

Being V-Limited STI model, a rally style roof vent is fitted in addition to the usual STI 2 extras: Sti Blueprinted engine with 8,000 rpm rev limit (Normal WRX's are 7,000) packing 280+ bhp, Gold Signature alloys (4 near new tyres fitted), Sti Interior, Sti carbon fibre front strut brace, uprated intercooler, Sti Exhaust. Specification is completely standard aside from some lowered and uprated springs from TIEN. Original springs are included free of charge with this car. Also, there clear front and side repeaters, to give a more updated look, as well as STI 555 mudflaps.

Auction grade is 4A (A denotes "+" in JAA auction - auction sheet JPEG is available). The rear STI sticker has been removed. A replacement will be ordered. 1999 (March) Impreza WRX Sti Version 5 Type R Coupe.
Silver Champagne Met (Introduced on Sti 5). 55,642km from new (34,581 miles). 5 Speed Manual.

Usual Type R Sti 5 specification includes:

4 Piston callipers at the front, Sti uprated engine, ECU, Turbo, etc. Sti carbon fibre strut brace, Sti Interior, Gold alloys, large Sti 5 rear spoiler complete with uprated headlights and front bumper, Momo Steering wheel, driver's SRS Airbag, Adjustable centre differential bias combined with a close ratio gearbox (Geared to 155 Mph).

Spec makes this car virtually the same spec mechanically as a P1 in UK. PAS, P/W, A/W, Climate control A/C, CD/Cassette player, remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, central locking, fitted mats, STI suspension (OEM). Spare wheel and tool kit are also unused.
Mechanical condition is almost completely std. Only the rear exhaust box has been replaced with a larger more free-breating item - which should release a little more power than the conservative 280 bhp officially quoted (Nearer 300).

Interior is in excellent condition with no faults to report. It's been a non smoker's car from new.

This example's been well looked after and clearly cherished. - Auction grade is 4. The engine bay is in remarkably clean condition. Red Cackle-finish on the inlet manifold is intact, as are the fragile intercooler fins. Lack of stone chips to the front indicate this has not been a hard-driven car. There are key scratches (Pictures available) on each rear quarter and some small scratches on the boot lid too. These are to be repaired as part of the OTR price, just mentioned to give a complete account of the car.
Perhaps these scratches were the reason the owner sold the car, perhaps a jealous girlfriend? We'll never know.

1992 (Dec) Impreza WRX. Silver. 5 Speed. Only 68,861km (42,797 genuine miles) from new. 

Usual extras included in Jap Spec Imprezas include: PAS, P/W, A/C, Central locking, electric door mirrors, hifi & fitted mats. Exterior includes driving lights, original (as new) alloys, rear spoiler with integrated brake light.
Usually we don't stock older Imprezas, but this example is so genuine and obviously beautifully preserved, we made an exception. The interior is like new throughout with no wear to the driver's seat, not even fraying on the inserts, as usually found on these. The ashtray's never been used either and clearly the car's not been used hard at all. Of course, being a Japanese domestic car from Tokyo, it's got no corrosion at all underneath.... Note that domestic 1992 WRX's had 245 bhp as standard. Expect perfect service from an Impreza like this and lowest priced insurance as a standard car. You won't find a more genuine low mileage entry level Impreza.

If required we are also able to source and provide some tasteful 16"/17" alloy wheels to go with this car for a small extra cost.

Auction grade is 4 (Auction sheet available). There is a small pin dent on the n/s/f door and also one on the o/s/f wing. Front o/s bumper corner has some scratches on the underside and there's touch up paint on the rear n/s corner. Rear spoiler is faded and there's some touch up paint on there too. Each of these faults will be professionally repaired to present this car in mint condition.

1997 (Dec) Impreza WRX Type R Sti Version 4.
A rare opportunity to aquire one of these rare spec. Impreza Type R's made for the Japanese domestic Market - Equivalent to the UK's P1, perhaps better with the spec available.

Mileage is: 66,372km (41,250 miles) from new. Usual spec of P/S, P/W, A/W, High quality Kenwood Hifi with CD/radio A/C, Power Mirrors with retract mode, central locking, rear wiper, tinted windows, STI Signature seats, fitted mats, etc. The car is grade 4+ It's in mint condition. Interior is unmarked - this has been a non smoker's car from new. Driving lights are fitted, as shown. Full system large bore stainless exhaust, possibly by Apexi. TIEN fully adjustable suspension is fitted, complete with easy to use front camber adjustment. Original Exhaust, suspension and STI blanking covers for the front bumper are inside the car. Note that 16" Advan Racing alloys are fitted - together with Falken High performance tyres in near new condition.

Sti 4 (Type R) Spec includes: Blueprinted Sti engine with "at least" 280 bhp, close ratio gearbox (155 mph top speed) with adjustable bias centre differential, Quick Steering rack by Sti (Standard on these), STI 4 piston brake callipers, Momo Steering wheel with SRS airbag, also passenger's airbag. Side skirts & rear valence sections have been colour coded. Some high power driving lights are fitted, in addition to the usual Type R front lip spoiler .

Intercooler's fins are not damaged from high speed debris & there are only tiny stone chips. Looking carefully round the entire car, we could find no bodywork faults either. Essentially, the lack of excessive wear to the front brakes, lack of debris damage to the intercooler and absence of significant stone chips to the front of the car show it's not been driven hard. Also, it's still got the speed limiter on it, so it's never done over 115 mph.
A deposit of £1,000 secures.

We fell in love with this example. It's a car sorted by someone with sound knowledge of how to make an Impreza really handle. This STI 4 is the best we have bought in the last 6 months.

Sti carbon fibre strut brace, Sti Interior, Gold alloys, large Sti 6 rear spoiler complete with uprated headlights and front bumper, Uprated front lip soiler, Momo Steering wheel, driver's SRS Airbag, 4 channel ABS, P/S, P/W, A/W, Climate control A/C. Remote controlled door mirrors with retract mode, central locking, rear wiper, fitted mats. Note that on STi 6 models, the clutch must be depressed to start the engine. A safety feature introduced at the end of 1999 on the STI models.  Spare wheel and tool kit are also unused. Note that STI Version 6 V-Ltd alloys are fitted - complete with near new tyres. Mechanical condition is completely std.

This example's been beautifully looked after and not abused. This paricular example is outstanding in every aspect. Interior is in excellent condition with no faults to report. It's been a non smoker's car from new.

Auction grade is 3.5 from Toyota Auto Auction - This is Toyota's own auction for dealers to sell their trade ins. Only the best cars are kept for sale at such auctions, with the poor examples being sent to the general auctions (Auction sheet is available).
Note that the intercooler has no debris damage at all and brake discs are hardly worn. From the lack of stone chips, it's clear that all signs show this car was never driven hard. The bosywork is in outstanding condition also:

There's a few stone chips on the front lip spoiler. A cm scratch on the n/s/f wing and a small pin dent on the driver's door. The rest of the car has been found to be immaculate upon close inspection. Even underneath, the car's immaculate. Condition is amongst the very best amongst the STI Imprezas we have supplied over the last 6 years.

STI 6 models were amongst the very last GC8 chassis types to be made before GDB (STI Version 7) production started. The last of a legend. This is an outstanding example at a low price too. Needless to say, this example drives absolutely flawlessly. It's a gem!

At present, this is the last STI 6 Impreza to be imported to the UK for the foreseeable future, now that the "disabled loophole" has been closed by VOSA.

The "disabled loophole" was closed as of 1 April 2004, so only STI 6 Imprezas for which SVA tests were pre booked prior to 1 April 2004 (Such as this particular example) will be able to undergo SVA test without a model report. Therefore, when this one's gone, we will not be able to buy any further STI 6 examples for stock until a model report becomes available.

1998 (March) Impreza STI Version 4 Type R. 94,060 km (58,458 miles) from new.
Sti 3 Type R Spec includes: Blueprinted Sti engine with "at least" 280 bhp, close ratio gearbox with adjustable bias centre differential, Optional Lamco Boost gauge mounted on the steering column, Quick Steering rack by Sti (Standard on these), Sti signature 4 piston brake callipers, Momo SRS Airbag Steering wheel, Water Jets to the intercooler, Rear privacy glass, side wind deflectors, rear wiper, Subaru original fitted mats. Included free of charge with this car is a high quality Kenwood hifi complete with uprated speakers, a 10 Disc CD Changer is neatly installed in the boot and a navigation system and TV screen (Hidden with the Jack for safety in transit). Note that the TV/Navi won't work in the UK without expensive conversion.

Exhaust is a cat back Apexi unit, although the standard exhaust is included with the car. Also there is the usual STI spec of P/S, P/W, A/W, Climate Control A/C, Power Mirrors, central locking, etc. Seats are of course STI embroided on the cloth of each front seat complete with half Alcantara suede. The front carries a Type R lip spoiler (3 piece) and is complimented by clear front indicators and side repeaters.

This car has been treated to a set of  17" Speedline lightweight alloys (Complete with 4 near new Bridgestone Potenza sports tyres of size 215/45/ZR17 ).

The interior is unmarked except for a small blemish (Picture available) on the driver's seat. This has been a non smoker's car.
Auction grade is 4. Condition is superb externally. There are two small pin dents on each door, one on the front O/S wing and another on the N/S quarter. On the front bumper there are some very small scratches and also 2/3 stone chips on the bonnet. Rear bumper has a small nic in it too - All these are very small faults which will be repaired in any case - as part of preparation in the UK. Full pictures are available.
Also, as the exhaust is oversized and mounted close to the rear bumper, part of the plastic around it has melted. Not very serious and easily trimmed away.

1999 (May) Impreza WRX Type R Sti Version 5 V-Limited.
A rare opportunity to acquire a rare spec. Impreza V-Ltd STI Type R's made only for the Japanese domestic Market - Better Spec'd than a UK Impreza P1. Possibly THE connoisseur's Impreza!

Mileage is: 76,067km (47,275 miles) from new. Usual spec of P/S, P/W, A/W, A/C, Power Mirrors with retract mode, central locking, rear wiper, rear tinted windows, STI Signature seats, Sports fitted mats, etc. The car is grade 4. It's in good condition throughout.

This has been a non smoker's car from new. Interior used to have some red trim fitted (Attached with double sided tape), although we have removed this and cleaned off the adhesive, as it really didn't serve the car well (These accessories have been placed in the boot).
A boost gauge was previously fitted to the dashboard and removed by the last owner. There are two small holes in the dashboard, where 2 self tapping screws were used (Picture available). These holes are easily repairable in UK.
Note also that the rear parcel shelf has some small holes, where shelf speakers were previously fitted. A replacement can be ordered at cost if required.
Driver's seat has some wear, although we will replace this as part of the car's cost.

A large bore exhaust is fitted from the catalyst back, possibly Apexi. Original Exhaust, and STI blanking covers for the front bumper are inside the car. Note that the original 16" alloys are fitted - together with High performance tyres in near new condition.

Side skirts & rear valence sections have been colour coded. Note that the original bonnet vents have been replaced with WRC styled items. Original vents, together with original dummy driving light covers for the front bumper are inside the car (Hidden under the seats, to avoid pilferage).


Intercooler's fins are not damaged at all from high speed debris - always a good sign on Imprezas, as this inducates the car hasn't regularly been driven hard.

Looking carefully round the entire car, we found the following:
There are small scratches to each door mirror. The passenger door has 4-5 small pin dents, 2 also on the driver's door and 2 on each quarter panel. Each side skirt also has some scratches (From shoes scraping on them) and on the driver's side, 2 small clips are broken off and in need of replacement. There are a few minor stone chips on the bonnet , front wings and on the passenger's A pilar (Pictures available). Both bumpers and front spoiler are scratched. All paintwork faults are to be professionally repaired as part of the car's OTR price.

1999 (March) Skyline GT-R. Midnight Purple (1). 39,377 km (24,472 miles) from new. 6 Speed manual.

There were perhaps only 300 Midnight Purple (1) R34 GT-R's ever made - and we're reliably informed there's only 2 in existence in the UK. This will perhaps be the last one to ever make it to the shores of England, if the Vehicle Inspectorate get their way from 1st April 2004.

Standard equipment includes: PAS, P/W, Climate control A/C, electric mirrors with retract mode, Xenon Gas Discharge headlights, GTR fitted mats, Rear Wiper, 18" GTR Alloy wheels fitted with standard Brigestone Potenza 245/40/ZR18 Tyres, Original Brembo brakes, Hicas 4WS, ABS, Dual SRS, Atessa 4WD system, Mechanical LSD's etc. Fitted is the R34 GTR display module to indicate real-time & peak Boost/Throttle/Injector Duty/Oil Temp & Water Temp in addition to programmable shift light, etc. A Standard Hifi is also fitted.

The car is of auction grade 4.0. This car was sourced from Toyota's Auto Auction, where some of the highest quality cars can often be sourced. As a grade 4 from that auction, it would be considered a grade 5 elsewhere. This has been a non smoker's car since new. There are no faults to report with the interior. It's completely as new. Oil pressure is 5kg/cm2 at idle when cold and 3.1kg/cm2 - each an excellent sign of a healthy and tight RB26 engine. Clearly this car has had no abuse. There are no stone chips, no debris damage to the intercooler, etc. This car has also always been restricted to 112 mph since new.

The exterior is of original factory condition. There are just 2 small scratch/graze mark on the matt black plastic section of the front spoiler. These should be left as they are - since repair would require replacement of the complete section, or dismantling and painting of this part, which is not an easy job since the front spoiler is very strongly secured on a GT-R. Pictures will show the damage is only very minor. The rest of the car is absolutely immaculate throughout, aside from one very small scratch on the n/s/r wheel rim (Picture available).
If preffered, we can have the wheel refurbished and the spoiler section repainted - this would add approx £250 to the price.

This example represents an unmissable opportunity to have a stunning Midnight Purple R34 GT-R. of near new condition at a low price. 1996 (March) Skyline GTR V-Spec. Silver.
69,075km from new (43,171 miles). Usual Spec includes: Climate control A/C, P/S, P/W, Remote controlled mirrors with retract mode, Usual GTR Interior, fitted mats, radio cassette player, ABS, Dual SRS airbags, with updated steering wheel (& passenger airbag) - as introduced in 1996.

Some 275/40/ZR18 tyres are fitted to matching rims, which are secured with lightweight RAYS wheelnuts. The locking wheelnut key is in the toolkit, in the boot. All 4 tyres are well within the legal limit, with front tyres fitted almost new.

The car is also fitted with an after mkt. exhaust rear section & front section, though the catalyst is retained. Suspension is standard.
Some HKS air filters are also fitted and an Apexi super airflow controller. This is basically a module to enable the driver to key in richer fuel mixture, or in other words to tune the car more finely than from the factory. A standard ECU is fitted.

Auction grade is 4. There is a small scratch on the rear bumper as shown, which will need repainting We will do this as part of the completion of the car. There is a small light scratch on the rear quarter as shown, though my feeling is it's best to leave this as is - because otherwise it will mean repainting one corner of the car for it, including part of the roof pilar. It may polish out, but it's very small anyway. The rest of the scratches indicated on the auction sheet were to small to find upon inspection.

Most importantly, this car looks as if it has been very well cared for. Oil changes done regularly, Also noticed the disc brakes are hardly worn, which indicates the car's had an easy life. The front of the car is not peppered with stone chips, which again - indicates a good sign.

The interior we paid special attention to, as the customer wanted something with a clean interior. This is a non smoker's car from new. There is none of the oft seen wear to the gearlever, steering wheel rim, handbrake gaiter and driver's seat. This indicates the car's been well looked after and of genuine mileage.

The car is essentially a showpiece prepared by Cartright Racing, here in Japan - presumably as their showcar. It's simply stunning and in completely unmarked condition. Just one solitary stone chip means it doesn't even require any paintwork.

This car has been set up to inprove engine performance safely whilst keeping drivability and refinement. Exhaust note is a little more fruity than standard - although not obtrisively loud. The carbon components, Prodrive alloys, etc. are there to accentuate the car's looks. This car is simply stunning to look at - it's a showpiece prepared to display a company's ability in Japan, after all. It's been perfectly executed. Modifications probably total around £9,500 in total japanese costs and are all virtually brand new. They would not be available in the UK.

We drove this car for around 500 km of driving in varied conditions around Tokyo before shipping and were thoroughly impressed with it. It drives absolutely faultlessly. At 1.2 Bar of boost (Previously set by last owner), it seemed to be making around 350 bhp. Strong power from 4,000 revs and is relentless until the red line, unlike the standard STI's on which power tends to tail off towards the rev limit. ECU mapping has been beautifully done. The car grips beautifully, giving a very confident ride, yet still being comfortable to use. Rev limit is set bang on 8,000 rpm. Suspension is supple, yet comfortable and gives improved turn-in and sure footed handling. This car was used by ourselves for the making of our video, "Skylines and Skyscrapers" and will therefore be well known by all who see our production..
This car has departed Japan on 2nd Oct, due to arrive to the UK on 15th Nov.

It's in beautiful condition throughout. Interior is perfect with no wear to seats, steering wheel, gearlever, etc. Exterior is similarly in virtually immaculate condition.

Here are details of all the minor faults:
The front driver side wing has been replaced at some point, presumably as a result of parking damage - This is not an accident grade car, but of grade 4.

Fit of this panel is perfect, as is colour match. The rear bumper has been repainted at some point, as has the air scoop plastic panel aft of the driver's door. Paint match is nearly perfect but not quite - We can repaint it in UK if required, or leave as it - since it's hard to tell the difference when actually looking at the car. There is a light scuff mark on the passenger door as shown, which will be polished out by our agent in the UK. Bodywork is virtually immaculate.

The mechanical specification is completely standard, though we have just bought another MR2 for a client with nice after mkt alloys & exhaust. As our client wanted standard alloy wheels and exhaust, it is possible that the ones on this car could be substituted at no extra cost if this was preferable.

1999 (March) MR2 Rev 5 GT-S Turbo. Bronze Metallic (Colour introduced with the Rev 5 models). Only 55,316km (34,379 genuine miles) from new. 5 Speed

This is an extremely rare colour and the first of this shade we have bought for stock - It could soon be only Rev 5 of this colour in the UK. The bodykit, fit, finish and condition of this car is unique and gives the car a very special effect. Front bumper is an original Do-LUCK item, Skirts and rear flares are original Veilside Combat items. Mirrors are Ganador items which although trick,still work in combination with the remote control. The original Rev 5 adjustable rake Combat rear spoiler has been left in situ, completing the look of the car. Note that the blade is purple coloured. We think this would benefit from covering in carbon-fibre film, which is available inexpensively.

Performance has been mildly improved. A Phoenix's Power Intercooler is fitted, together with an Apexi mesh-type oil impregnated oil filter. Ignition leads are uprated. Exhaust is a Phoenix's Power Departure II 85mm Pro unit. ECU remains standard. Note that a dump valve is not fitted to this setup, although we can source say an original SARD item in Japan to complete this setup, for around £180. The suspension struts remain standard although 20-30mm lowered springs have been fitted. Wheels are Gab Sports Super R's with near new performance tyres of size 215/40/ZR17 & 235/40/ZR17. Inside there is a Momo Steering wheel and an Addzest 200 W Hifi with MD/CD/Radio, as well as built in equaliser. This Hifi unit comes free of charge with the car. Note that inside the boot are the original airbox, original mirrors and original quarter panel vents.

Spec includes: SRS Airbag, ABS, Climate Control A/C, Limited Slip Differential, 6 way adjustable driver's seat, PAS, P/W, Light blue tint on the windows, Stainless steel sill plates, original fitted mats, original side repeaters, clear front lenzes, updated instruments.

The car is of auction grade 4.5 (Auction sheet available). Condition is outstanding. It's clear this car was more of a show car for the last owner than for high speed use. It's still speed restricted. There are no stone chips. Even the wheels are unkerbed. All we could find was a small scratch to the rear o/s flare. There's a hairline crack in the paint of the front bumper and scratches on the front spoiler where the number plate had been allowed to rub on the paint. 1998 (Nov) MR2 TRD 2000 GT. Turbo. Rev. 5 Coupe. Dark Metallic Purple (Shade introduced 1998). 39,497km total (Just 24,547 genuine miles from new)

Specially built by Toyota Technocraft Co. Ltd. (TRD - Japan) No: SW200-0008. There are only a handful of these in existence worldwide, perhaps a maximum of just 30-50 in total this is only the 8th built by TRD. This bodykit was produced by TRD based on their GT-C Japan Premiership Racers, a kit first displayed to rave reviews in 1998's Tokyo Auto Salon. The bodykit, fit, finish and condition of this car can only be described as Jaw Dropping, achingly beautiful. This was a complete design & installation (In this case) from TRD. Cost of the kit supplied and fitted, excluding taxes, special paint or transportation was 1,100,000 Yen, so to have this kit alone fitted - cost approx. £6,500 in 1988. Make no mistake - This is a showcar, with Ferrari looks to match. Rear Wing is also TRD. As to be expected from Toyotas's own Racing arm, presentation leaves nothing to be desired. The bodykit looks as if it could have come fitted from Toyota's factory when new. Even opening the doors, boor, bonnet etc. there are no signs of poor fitment or cutting of corners. The wheels fitted are Gewalt Evolution rims fitted with Dunlop Formula FM901 Sports tyres - 215/45/ZR17 (Front) & 245/45/ZR17 (Rear). There are NO wheel spacers. Offset, etc. is all correct. TRD's press release indicates that handling and stability is dramatically improved with the wider track of this car - not surprisingly.

This MR2 has had considerable funds and effort spent on performance improvements to ensure it stays together. These were thankfully documented by the last owner, with a copy of an invoice for work done, supplied.
The engine's been blueprinted and internally strengthened to be able to take 1.2 Bar of boost, with the help of an Apexi FC ECU & Power Commander. The block & head were removed, stripped and the following work professionally completed:
Honing of barrels to fit HKS 87mm diameter forged pistons. HKS 264 Deg inlet & exhaust cams, HKS Vernier Sprockets. Full new original Toyota main bearings and shells were fitted when reassembling. Of course, new gaskets, screws, etc. were also used, as well as a set of TRD engine mounts. A 2.2mm HKS metal head gasket was employed and a Power timing belt was also fitted. Uprated spark plugs and heavy duty ignition leads are fitted. Clutch is a Twin Plate Ogura unit. Oil cooling is taken care of by a large Trust cooler mounted tidily beheath the gearbox. The intercooler is also an HKS uprated unit and the exhaust is a combination of a Trust manifold with an HKS Twin exit unit. Also fitted is an HKS super sequential blow off valve. Turbo internals are apparently standard.
Suspension has been taken care of with the use of TRD original struts, specially designed for performance road use - on the TRD 2000 GT. Firm, yet compliant. Brakes remain original complete with 4 channel ABS.

A dyno chart shows with intake temperature of 44 Deg C and 88 Deg C water temp, at 1.12 bar of boost, power at the wheels was 322 bhp.
Clearly more is available with this sort of setup, although to be safe, it's been mapped on the conservative side, it appears. Maximum torque was produced at approx. 5,700 rpm making 41.3 kg/m.

Inside, there's a top specification Alpine MD/CD unit 40W x 4 - supplied free of charge with this car. On the steering column sits a Greddy exhaust temperature gauge. Driver's seat is a racign style Recaro. Passenger's seat is a reclinable Recaro. Sourcing a matching Driver's Recaro may be possible, as these are fairly common. Normal spec. includes: Dual SRS airbags, 4 channel ABS, blue tint windows, updated instruments, alloy sill covers, Climate Control A/C, PAS, LSD, Electric Mirrors, original fitted mats, central locking, etc.

Engine runs beautifully with a smooth idle and clutch still feels relatively new, although clearly a twin plate item in use. We will test drive this car before shipment and make a short video for the customer.

The car is of auction grade 3.5. Rear light panel has at some point been replaced. This was not of a structural accident. We've been under the car, lifted the carpets, checked everywhere - and can see this panel's been replaced, but invisibly so. Only to the trained eye is it possible to see the sealant on the inside is not original. However, shut lines are perfect as is paint match. Had we not told you of this, you'd never know - simple as that, but that wouldn't be telling it like it is. On the passenger's skirt, there are 2 small scratches and a stone chip. Also, there's a scratch on the rear bumper N/S corner. The front bumper is also stone chipped from use, although not excessively so. All of these are to be repaired prior to completion, to our usual high standards.

In nearly 6 years of buying & supplying the highest quality MR2's to the UK, this is only the 3nd time we've had an opportunity to stock a TRD 2000 GT and only the first time we've had one as as special as this. The other two have been Rev 3 & 2 models - each stunning cars, but this one is the cream... Clearly the owner who lavished over £16,000 in total - on improving this car in 1998 wanted to start with a virtually brand new example and tune it to his personal preferences, etc. No expense was spared.

1992 (March) MR2 TRD 2000 GT. Turbo. T-Bar. Passion Red. 41,089km total (Just 25,536 genuine miles from new).

Specially built by Toyota Technocraft Co. Ltd. (TRD - Japan) No: SW200-0021. There are only a handful of these in existence worldwide, perhaps a maximum of just 30-50 in total this is only the 21st built by TRD. The 2000 GT Conversions were completed on 25th Feb 1999, when the car had just 16,813km from new. A new TRD Speedo was fitted at this time, hence the current reading of 24,276km.

Interior: Superb matching Recaro signature seats are fitted - in as new condition, with a Momo Race steering wheel & TRD gearknob. No Hifi is fitted.  This example is made rarer because it also comes with a T-Bar roof, complete with original covers and soft bags.

Normal specification includes: GT-S Rev 2 full standard mechanical spec. 5 Speed manual. Climate Control A/C, PAS, LSD, Electric Mirrors, original fitted mats, central locking, etc.

The car has obviously not been used - it's been someone's toy that was seldom used and probably kept garaged, judging by it's overall condition. This MR2 is near immaculate inside & out with only 2 very minor faults to put right before the car is completed and supplied. There is a small scratch on the N/S edge of the front bumper. On the rear bumper, there is a crack and also on the boot lid, there's a small crack too. Wheel rims are unscratched, tyres nearly new, interior is similarly mint. The car was evidently hardly used, but well cared for by it's previous Japanese owner. Being a 1992 model, this car has the old flat rear lights. However, Rev 3 rear lights can be made to fit easily and are not costly to source. Get a private plate and nobody would ever know the year of this showcar...

Hifi is a high quality single DIN Toyota OEM MD/Radio unit. There's also a TRD gearknob fitted, plus a turbo timer mounted on the steering column. There's also an HKS electronic analogue boost gauge mounted neatly on the A-Pilar. Please note the turbo timer won't work easily with a UK CAT 1 alarm (Likely to be required by Insurance Company) and must be removed for the SVA test.

Mechanical specification is mildly and sensibly modified. There's an oil impregnated wire mesh Apexi induction kit (The best available for MR2's), an HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve, plus the best exhaust on the market in Japan for MR2's: It's a TRD High Response Version S unit, with twin exits. The ECU and boost remain as standard. Suspension has been improved with TEIN fully adjustable units, including front camber adjustment - ideal to dial out the MR2's inherrent tight corner under-steer and thus improve handling considerably. These shock absorbers are not harsh, but offer a good compromise between comfort and improved handling. Wheels are lightweight forged Monoblock items, made for TRD by RAYS. Tyres are nealy new high-performance items of size 255/45/ZR17 on the rear and 215/45/ZR17 on the front.

Rev 5 Turbo is a very rare specification & the only the 2nd Rev 5 Coupe we have been able to buy all year - despite daily searches nationally throughout Japan. Cost of all the extras fitted to this car total around £5,000 in Japan, so this is one very special and rare spec. MR2. This could be the only Rev 5 of this colour to be in the UK, when it arrives.

Interior is in excellent condition with NO faults to report, testatament to the way this car's been very looked after.

Auction grade 4. The front spoiler has some tiny scratches on the N/S corner, which are likely to be polisable. There are some paint marks on the passenger door, where another car's door edge touched and also a small scratch on the driver's-side vent. Paint on the front bumper is also a little matt on the front O/S bumper corner, so this will need a little re-laquering to bring the shine to an even brightness (Pics of all these minor faults are available). As always, we prefer to mention all faults to give a completely accurate report of our cars. Amazing condition, so in view of this, we REALLY wanted it for stock.
